Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Springfield

OMG This was one of the best places I have stayed in a long time. During the eclipse I choose a half way point from my house to Carbondale. So I already knew it was going to be a drive any where I went. This review is based on the price for a 2 night stay was $200 total. The actual room went way beyond my expectations I figured I would get a bed TV and a refrigerator. What I got was a full suite bed, living room and a mini kitchenette. The room was perfectly clean. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again

It was just a stop to start our month-long road trip. I'm glad we chose this hotel. We were supposed to be there by 3pm, but didn't get there until 8 pm. So glad the check in was fast, that the room was great and that the desk person gave us the lowdown on the discounts offered by the near-by restaurants. We will stay again, if in the area.

let me first say I would stay here again. The staff was great. my hesitation is the wheel chair accommodation. my husband is in a wide wheelchair and he could just barely maneuver the room. also there was no shower chair in the room. Also the doors into the hotel have to be manually opened Which made it difficult. And I was told that the king rooms are not handicap accessible..

We visited this same location twice in 1 week due to travel. The first room was wonderful on the 3rd floor. Very clean.
Our 2nd visit we were on the 1st floor and it wasn't as clean. It smelled musty and the floors were not clean.

This is a nice Motel.
The staff is friendly.
They have daily breakfast.
Coffee all the time.
I was there during an ice storm. Several people fell because the sidewalks were not treated. It seems only one person was working and unable to salt the entrances.

This place is awesome! We had to stay a few days because of a power outage and we enjoyed ourselves. It felt like a mini vacation! From the time we got there everything was perfect! The staff is amazing and do a wonderful job. The pool was perfect for my grandbabies and our room was really nice. Everything was kept very clean and the 24 hour coffee was great! Thank you!! I think the best part was coming down for breakfast! Everything was so good we had a great time and will definitely be coming back!

Great quick stop on our drive each way. When I stop in Springfield IL I will always stay here. Thanks to Wyndham Rewards as well.

The manager was absolutely amazing! She was super sweet and extremely kind and helpful. They’ve been updating the rooms and the new room was great! Comfy and clean and definitely worth the money. The breakfast was delicious 😋 we will be back!

The Front Desk Administrators and staff were AMAZING and the kindest people ever!!! I traveled across the country from LA to PA and I have to say that staying in the baking Room here at the Microtel was. Y FAR my favorite stay of the whole entire 7 week cross country travel I planned. I loved it so much I stayed an extra night due to the hospitality, spacious king suite room, and area that worked perfectly for my little Pup and I.

This Microtel is a keeper for me and will definitely be on my list of stays whenever I cross country again. :)

This hotel is very nice but above that is who they have working there. Robyn at the front desk will definitely make your trip and stay worth the money. She is an excellent asset to Microtel and she goes above and beyond to make you feel welcomed!

Beds are too comfortable! Room very clean. Bathroom immaculate. Soaps, shampoos, coffee and tea in room. Plenty of light. Plenty of nice towels. Free breakfast was awesome!!! Desk clerk super friendly, recommended MOTORHEADS for dinner.... NAILED IT!!!!

This is an excellent place to stay! Firstly, The employees are extremely helpful and thoughtful. The property seems to be well maintained and very clean. this is 3rd time I am staying at this hotel, this is my 2nd home in Springfield. The hotel smelled clean and I didn't find anything dirty in my room(I always check). The king room that I stayed in was very nice and The new bed was super comfortable as well. The location is nice because there are several restaurants nearby. I'll definitely stay there again when I'm in town!

The hotel was clean, and very well kept. Lovely common areas and a nice pool and breakfast nook. The people here are amazing. Jay and his while family made us feel welcome. He was always very ready and available to assist with anything that needed attending to on site. My family stayed an extended time and my wife even worked there, and learned a lot. It was a wonderful experience. We will definitely be staying there again anytime we are in the area.

Very comfortable room. Hotel was clean and what we saw in good repair. My wife Loved the mattress on the bed. 3 restaurants nearby that gave us a discount when we showed our room key.

All the staff was very nice. The room was clean and quite. We have stayed at this property before and was very pleased. Thank you everyone there.

We were booked at a different hotel and we’re very dissatisfied upon our arrival. I called and spoke with Robyn here at Microtel inn and she was nothing but helpful and kind. She showed us a room before checking us in so that we could verify we would be satisfied. The rooms were clean and the price was great, especially as we were a walk in. Robyn was personable and accommodating and assured us that she could help us with anything during our stay.

Limited breakfast for healthy choices. I eat vegan whole plant foods. The room and checkin/checkout were good.

Wish the rooms were brighter decor!

The hotel and staff were excellent. The check-in was quick and seamless.
