Amuleto Mexican Table

Excellent Mexican restaurant on Moody Street in Waltham. We had a party for 8 for 5 PM. Our reservation was honored and the service was great. It was extremely clean and nice inside. Parking was pretty easy. Ample street parking there is a free lot around the corner.

The drinks were very flavorful and pretty strong 😉. The food was excellent as well.

Everything was outstanding, from the minute we were seated. Carlos was our attentive but non- intrusive server who was both personable and professional, a delight to interact with. Also a really sweet young woman assisting, didn't get her name. House margaritas were exceptionally good, roasted chicken mole was out of this world, carne asada was a very cleanly trimmed whole strip center cut cooked perfectly medium rare with an addictive avocado sauce and accompanying chicken enchilada mole poblano. Apps of baby back ribs and octopus were really spectacular. We were very impressed with the unusual takes on
dishes we have tried at many different Mexican eateries. Amuleto is a must is you're dining in Waltham.

Tonight was our first visit and we really enjoyed it. We started with the three mini tamales plate. The mole sauce on the chicken tamale was outstanding and even better was the tomatillo sauce on the pork tamale.

We also had the brussels sprouts with pork belly and the fried plantains. We enjoyed them both.

Last we got two tacos to share. You should always be able to order a single taco. The first was the pork which was generously filled. The second was something I had never seen before. They took a jalapeño and stuffed it with shrimp. It was wild, but so so good. I highly recommend getting that. Maybe get three.

The service was friendly and the space is nice. It is a small dining room but they do take reservations and you can eat outside in nice weather (it was raining today).

Bottom line: we’ll worth a visit.

Not from the area, but we went to a coffee roasting event and the owner recommended checking out Moody St. My friends and I first saw Amuleto when driving too Moody St. We all like Mexican, so agreed to try it. This place did not disappoint. They seemed short-staffed at that moment, but they waiter managed just fine. Great food and drink selection and my friends are vegetarians and had no issues choosing their lunch or apps. Overall, the place is really nice inside and the food was great!

I'm down in the New Bedford area and we have our fair share of great restaurants, but I would come back here again, with more friends.

This is absolutely the BEST MEXICAN restaurant! The food is delicious, the service is outstanding, and the decoration is beautiful! I go for dates with my husband or with a large group of girlfriends and we ALWAYS have the best time and the most amazing meal. Can’t recommend it enough! THANK YOU AMULETO! Big fan here!

When I arrived I did not realize that the restaurant started its operations at 5PM, I arrived 45 minutes early, and the staff was setting the table. The host very kindly allowed me to choose my table, which I really appreciate. Once we were seated, we were attended by a young man from Honduras, who I apologize for not remembering his name, but the important thing was that his service was remarkable. I have to say that we enjoyed every single bite of the meal ... We had a 3 course meal: - Course # 1 Taco Torito & Taco Barbacoa, Course # 2 Puerco al Tamarindo & Camarones al Tomatillo, Course # 3 Flan & dulce de Leche, with a couple of Passion fruit margaritas.That was Amazing! ... Considering the quality, the price is reasonable. Ideal for those who want a fun night out. There was also plenty of room for bigger groups. The decoration is Stunning, the music is happy and contagious. I rate this restaurant five stars, since I have traveled to Mexico many times, I have visited different states like Cancun, Acapulco, Merida, Playas Mujeres, and Tegucigalpa, and so far Amuleto is the only restaurant in which I find similarity to authentic Mexican food. Thank you and keep up the quality, both in the food and drinks and in the service. I recommend it! 00% +!

Enjoyed all dishes to the core. Great food. Guacamole was so fresh which gives a different taste. After Guacamole had hot chicken soup. Soup was slightly tangy, thick and creamy, absolutely delicious. Baja Fish Tacos, Octopus with sauteed onion n mushrooms really yummy. After a long time had real nice Mexican food. End was flan which brings total harmony to the dinner. Thank you chef's for the wonderful food. I would love to go back again.

My wife and I shared a "small plates" meal of Chicken Taquitos, Pork ribs, and Steak Quesadillas. Every dish had a unique flavor that we were not accustomed to but tasted delicious!

We had a really great time here. Great atmosphere, the patio is gorgeous, the decor inside is fun and vibrant. I do love their cocktails and they also make a great michelada. We enjoyed the food, my carne asada was cooked to perfection. I will say that sometimes the food is just slightly under seasoned, most things just needed a tad more salt, but it is clearly prepared with expertise.

The service was great! It was a Saturday night and they were hopping so things took expectedly longer, but we were happy ordering some pork belly guac and enjoying each other's company. We had performance earlier and we were celebrating so I was very thirsty and I was so grateful for the nice gentleman filling my water an obscene amount of times! Would definitely recommend!

I went to Amuleto for a work dinner and it was really nice. The cocktail MezcaLoco is delicious and their ribs are very tender and greatly seasoned.

Their chips are very crunchy, which is nice.

The service is amazing. We love sitting at the bar and Luis or Carlos both take good care of us. The food is consistently excellent.

Sat outside, tent in the back of the building. Food and atmosphere were great. Chicken mole exceeded expectations. Service attentive and timely. Group of 7. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal!

We’ve been to Amuleto’s many times over the last 4 years. We had dinner again this past Friday night. The food is ALWAYS consistently delicious. I wanted to post a review about the staff and the service. Every meal we’ve had at Amuleto’s is accompanied by some of the best service and staff in the restaurant industry. Polite, attentive, friendly and always on top of their game! Cheers and thank you.

Tasty authentic Mexican food for all ages. Carne asada with refried beans and rice is favorite kid’s dish. It’s hard to pick appetizers with so many good options, but definitely the guac with chicharron is a must. The grilled octopus and camarones enchipotlados are also good appetizer options for sea food lovers.
And the dulce de leche for dessert is also a must. Leave room to try it, won’t get disappointed.

I’ve had an AMAZING time whenever I come to this restaurant, it never misses. Because of that I am making my first google review. I have celiac disease so I have to follow a gluten free diet, and the kitchen and environment is completely free of gluten which makes me extremely comfortable. but now for the food.
The Taco Tinga might just be the best thing I have ever tasted. I had an epiphany when I took the first bite. It was a perfect balance of flavors. I HIGHLY suggest.
The tortilla chips along with the guacamole and salsa were some of the best.
But everything on the menu is great, that’s why I gave it 5 stars along with the amazing service and quick arrival of the food.

Fantastic service and food. Tacos were a little expensive but definitely worth it. Lots of filling and corn tortillas were very good. Tacos Al pastor and the asada are drfinite go tos.
