Grounds Coffee Bar

This is my FAVORITE cafe in the area. They make the BEST coffee around. I often drink black coffee and it never tastes burnt. The food is delicious and the staff is always so nice! I love this place.

I wasn't sure what to get because I love Starbucks. I went in there and was at the front to order discussing what I wanted. The lady there recommended Iced Chai tea Latte saying it was as good or better than Starbucks. I decided to try it and it was absolutely amazing. She was very nice and made this new experience really fun and I will definitely go there when I can.

The hot coffee is exceptional. The ambience is relaxing especially the green plush velvety chairs. A variety of delicious drinks and food items will please any customer along with their phenomenal service! Support your local baristas!

Great atmosphere! I love what they've done in the new location; it feels much cozier but still airy and fresh. Nice selection of baked goods to go along with lovely coffee and tea, and the outdoor seating is perfect for fall days. The honey bee latte was yummy and I plan to visit again soon 😋

One of my favorite coffee shops! The staffs are so nice and friendly. I love their Nutella latte coffee. So good. I’ve been trying some of their pantry but I haven’t decided my favorite yet. Overall, everything is great! The design in the store, the staffs, the location in little cute town. Amazing!

Very very cute addition to downtown Crystal Lake! I had even gotten something I didn’t love and the girls were kind enough to remake a new drink no questions asked. Had a breakfast sandwich and it was good and all of the pastries looked delicious! Lots of cute stuff to look at and shop from and the couches and tables were very comfortable.

Awesome coffee shop! Grounds serves a variety of tea and coffee beverages in addition to cute seasonal drinks. I love their chai latte served both cold and hot. Staff is always friendly and welcoming. Lots of seating to sit down and chat with friends. I do wish they were open later!Such a cute place!

Beautiful coffee bar in Downtown Crystal lake! Serving both hot and cold coffees with plenty of seating. I love strong coffees and with an added shot, my small iced latte was perfect!

I live in Crystal Lake and can’t believe today was my first time trying Ground Coffee Shop. Amazing. I tried the thin mint iced latte (seasonal drink) and it was amazing. For those complaining about the price…..it’s no more than your Starbucks drinks AND you’re contributing to a local shop. Staff was friendly and made me feel welcomed. I think I found my new go to place.

Love the environment, the color scheme, and how welcomming the staff is. The coffee was sooo good and loved their fall choices. I’d definitely come again- especially to support local!

I absolutely loved this adorable coffee shop! The valentine's theme is so cute. I got an iced red velvet latte and it was delicious and so cute too. I would recommend!

Wonderful coffee and a cute shop ! Great little eats accompanied with a very friendly staff. I asked for a shaken espresso which wasn’t on the menu and they literally screamed “we can make that” ! Very very cool coffee spot we will be back.

This just might be my new favorite coffee place! The pumpkin spice latte was absolutely amazing! They have gluten-free items, and the staff was so so sweet!!

We love this place. It's our new go-to spot for delicious coffee and pastries. The almond croissant is amazing!
Inside is nice and cozy but sitting outside is even better. Whether we just grab and go, or sit outside, we love the place.

Great coffee, nice sandwiches and treats, and relaxing atmosphere.

Unlike many coffee shops, the coffee doesn't come out boiling hot and is drinkable right away. Their iced drinks are also very delicious. They change and vary their seasonal drinks very often which all are delicious and unique.

There is plenty of seating inside even when it is busy! They have a friendly staff that provides quick service.

Definitely prefer Grounds over Starbucks anyday.
