Big Grow Hydroponics

just got back from Big Grow hydroponics in lake in the hills! They sold My last piece of fish tank equipment (a chiller) on consignment. This store is awesome for any plant grower. Whether you're a 420 friendly person, or just like plants. They have so many different nutrients and so much supplies for both hydroponics and soil. They sell dirt, fertilizers, lights, pretty much whatever you need. Mike is so knowledgeable. I can spend all week there just listening to him talking to the customers and learning all sorts of great information. So not only do they have all the supplies you need. They have somebody that will guide you to what you need and how to use it. I highly recommend this store. Go give it a visit!

Very cool place to go, they have everything you will need and they have a pretty cool plant room . Knowledgeable staff. One gripe though. the first time i came here i came about a half hour past their opening time but no one was there, i called and got no answer the door was locked so i had to come back another time.

The store was really cool and Mike the guy who worked there was really helpful and very knowledgeable. I would recommend anyone growing anything stop in and check it out. Got a light and some nutrients for my berry plants. Not my first time going and being pleased with my money spent and won't be the last time.

The owner Mike is extremely knowledgeable and will be able to help you with any gardening/hydroponic question you may have. He had an answer for any question I could possibly have and then some. I would describe this as a one stop shop that has all necessities required to begin a hydroponic grow. They also carry a plethora of nutrients and all sorts of things you will need for your plants. Mike will get you right.

Great information on a variety of topics including hydroponics great service quality products CLEAN! Yeah that's a BIGGIE for me the staff were friendly as well as helpful definitely a place to shop for all your grow needs.

Great staff. Mike, the owner really knows his stuff and will always point you in the right direction. Laura has a wide variety of knowledge as well especially on the plants in their showroom. Store is always stocked and prices are reasonable.

Stopped in to kill time. Place looked interesting. Glad I went in. Very friendly and extremely informative. I came in without expectation of buying a thing and came out with enough equipment to start a small indoor flower/veggie garden. Pretty much hassle free. Not to mention dealing with dirt and pests. Found my new hobby! Highly recommend to stop in and check it out!

Love love love this place. Used to go to grow masters in gurnee because it's closer. Stopped in here one day on my way through the area and I have not gone anywhere else since. The owner is so much more friendly and willing to share knowledge as well as the one employee I have met. Every time I go I'm here I end up hanging around for about an hour just talking to the owner/employee about all things grow related. Prices are better here, owner is pretty cool about throwing his regulars a deal here or there. I've been meaning to write him a review because I love love love this place. This place isn't just a store, it's an experience where you can network with knowledgeable people. I learn something new every time I stop in. Awesome inventory. If you haven't been here, you're missing out.

This grow shop is number 1 in Illinois by far, they have anything you could need and have the smarts to help you understand what you need and what you want for your particular growing environment/ situation. Very competitive pricing on everything, the owner price matched a gavita led with another place online that was a bit cheaper. I will give them my bussines for as long as they keep the doors open.

Awesome place, if it's not something they stock they will order it, every time I have ordered, I've gotten a call from the owner verifying my order and another call when it's in. It's faster than mail. I quit buying online. This store is awesome, plus I eat their tomatoes whenever I'm there!! Plus the owner and employee are super knowledgeable, they've answered every little question I've had, in store or on the phone.

I just purchased a 4x4 sun hut from these guys on my first visit..and I love it...so you all know once you purchase that..its all downhill from there..and of course you want the best light you can get for that 4x4..I decided to go with led due to heat factors...and so once again I hopped in my car and decided to head over to big grow...the owner is usually who I speak to. He's loaded with knowledge and is a really cool dude...he literally answers all of my questions with ease...and that's the main reason why I give these guys 5 stars..he makes you feel comfortable...some other places just seem annoyed when you ask questions...and at big grow...Its chill. I purchased a pineapple 480w led...and I couldn't be happier. Give these guys a shot. You wont be disappointed. I know I'll be coming back to spend my hard earned cash on products I can trust. You should too!
