The elevator is terrifying! Good neighborhood and close to Malden Station, though.

Was a good time

Location is good, close to T and bus stations, good restaurants nearby. However, if you rent an apartment here you are also signing up for:
1. Oldest, noisiest and poorest construction of the building.
2. You will feel like someone's stomping even if they are normally walking with carpets on.
3. You are forced to add carpets even though they have wooden flooring. You are left with no choice because they have it on the lease.
4. Very poor water pressure from shower heads. Denied to fix it on multiple requests.
5. Very unclean laundry machines as they are shared. You will find pet hair and what not stuck to the washer doors. No cleanliness at all! Had to carry paper towel and cleanser downstairs, clean the machine doors first and then load the laundry EACH TIME.
6. Sky rocketing utility bills!! We have paid around 500$ per month. No one from management was willing to help and rectify this even on asking for assistance multiple times.

And the list can go on. My personal experience, Property management is really biased and unsupportive. Please do not fall for this even though the apartment looks decent and offers affordable rent. I'd rather pay more rent at communities like Gateway or J Malden instead of falling for this poorly managed building.

Property management is rude and will hold back security deposit for things you didn’t do.

The units themselves have been nicely updated and are a good size for a couple/single person. The property management team is generally pretty prompt and responsive, and the location is hard to beat.

The negatives are based around the contract. They make you renew the lease 6+ months before the contract end date (a lot can change in 6 months i.e. new job or relocation), and the lease break fee is outrageous we are talking 2-3 months worth of rent, excluding last month that you paid upfront.

Lastly, their parking spaces are VERY tight, so if you have an SUV my advice is to park on the street or else your doors will certainly get dinged.
