My favorite coffee shop in the neighborhood, hands down. The staff is so warm and friendly and they make a killer latte. Some people often get frustrated with their food service wait times, but True Grounds has a pretty small staff with small kitchen space, and some impatient folks don't have realistic expectations, in my opinion. Love this place for a morning coffee or afternoon pick me up ♡

True Grounds is my favorite coffeeshop in Somerville. A down to earth location for exceptional quality coffee and bites. They always have a couple of single origin brews as their drip coffee. They used to have art work from local artists hanging on their wall for sale, which has been missing for some time. This place is also very inclusive, and family friendly. You’d not regret hanging out there :)

Also, they recently have substantially extended their operating hours till dinner time!!

One of the best coffee shops around Somerville. They have awesome coffee. I recommend trying their Iced Vietnamese coffee. Their cold brew is also really good. They make delicious sandwiches and muffins too. Finally, they even sell some good coffee beans for a pretty nice price.

Also recommend their egg sandwiches on a bagel. And wonderful pumpkin chip muffins. Both featured in my photos. Highly, highly recommend. The only thing they're missing is a way to order ahead. There's a little bit of a wait sometimes (understandable - labor and supply chain shortages) but that could be migrated by having an order ahead option via toast or another online service.

I come here to get coffee/iced tea all year long between jobs. This is one of the rare OG coffee shop spots I love that hasn’t been visually sanitized into minimalist oblivion. I love the unique tables and worn in seating, and the local art they showcase.

To me their best drink is their mocha latte. I can’t explain why it’s so good. Iced OR hot. May be because of the generous chocolate syrup. I get lattes with oat milk these days but even regular milk lattes do not disappoint.

Iced teas are always well made, and it is a dog friendly place, which makes my heart very happy.

Consistently AMAZING baked goods, delicious espresso, drip coffee, and cold brew, and really friendly staff. Love this spot and really excited for them to get more foot traffic and exposure now that the green line extension is open!

One of my favorite lunch spots in Ball Square! Staff is very kind and willing to help. The chai latte is amazing and the bagels are great 🤩😋

The best local breakfast! Delightful coffee, unbelievable tasty chipotle wrap, magical pesto sandwiches. I would give it 10/5 for its food.
During my week+ stay in Boston I visited most of 4.X+ cafes around that area. "True Grounds" is unbeatable number 1.

This is my favorite local coffee shop; it has great coffee, food, staff, and atmosphere. They have GF bread for sandwiches and board games people can play!

Nice place to have a coffee and breakfast. There are a lot of street parking around here.

Stopped by after work to catch up with a friend. The tea was amazing and I had the most delicious cookie. Absolutely recommend if you are looking for a coffee shop open in the early evening!

Great local coffee shop. I find myself here a few times a week getting some combination of an iced coffee, cappuccino, and maybe a bagel. My wife has enjoyed some of the flavors of iced teas that they have as well. There's indoor, and outdoor seating, and some local art on the walls. Nice place to check out if you're in the area!

Love True Grounds! Everything they make is ridiculously delicious. We can never leave without the pretzel croissant, maple scone, walnut briand, and the list goes on and on. Best coffee shop and bakery in Somerville!

I've been coming to True Grounds for years, and can't say enough good things about the food and service. However today takes the cake (or bagel in this case)! My girlfriend and I come here most weeks to get breakfast sandwiches (the sunny spread is amazing), but this week she couldn't have a bagel because of Passover. The staff went out of their way to give us a to-go container with spread so that she could put it on matzoh! If I could rate them 10/5 stars I would.

True Grounds is my favorite coffee shop I've ever been to as a regular. I've been going for almost the past 2 years and they are the best service, kindest staff and owner, and genuinely most enjoyable homemade baked goods, sandwiches, and espresso drinks. Not to mention, the Cafe seating is back and they have such a nice Cafe to relax in. Try the breakfast sandwiches, strong coffee, fresh baked goods - you will enjoy them. The owner is also a very down-to-earth nice guy

Easily my favorite cafe ever! Such friendly and hard working staff. They were amazing through out the pandemic. Great sandwiches, burritos and coffee! Not to mention the SCONES, which I enjoy treating myself too. My go to order is a Chipotle burrito, cold brew and a maple oat scone. Now that I don’t live close if I’m ever near by I make sure to stop in. You guys rock!

I love True Grounds. I've lived in the area for a couple years and have been a regular here throughout the pandemic, and it's always rock-solid. I'm not a coffee drinker, so I can't speak to that, but their chai lattes are miraculously not overly sweet (which is why I don't like chai lattes from 90% of the cafes that make them). The food is delicious and consistent. The space is cute and homey, with just the right amount of time worn-ness. The people working there are always friendly and efficient. All in all, a great local coffee spot, I hope they stay in business forever!

Rae the baker is currently providing the baked goods and she's as gifted as they come. Really, the selection of pastries are just superb. I was there at 8:00 AM and Truegrounds opened right on time. Everyone was pleasant and professional.
