CJ's Northside Grill

Food here is great! I order the portobello mushroom sandwich and it is delicious. The bread is soft and it is full of mushrooms. The smoked gouda adds the perfect flavor. French fries and onion rings are crispy and salty. My family also enjoyed the chicken tenders and tots. Take out was easy and employees were friendly.

CJs consistently delivers quality food and service. Love this local indie restaurant that is a neighborhood gem. Love the breakfast-all day. Yummy comfort dishes like meatloaf, chicken pot pie and "Thanksgiving dinner" make this a perfect spot for all ages. My kids say the cheeseburger is the best. Try the roast beef on an onion roll with a side of onion rings. Mmmm

Great food for an even greater price. They have daily weekday specials that save me a ton if I want something quick for dinner. The normal menu is also very good. My go to is the Breakfast Wrap, have yet to be disappointed by them. The fries are bland but filling for the portion size, that's my only critique of the food. The staff is also incredibly welcoming and polite.

A very nice family, friendly, clean café with great food and a friendly hard working staff! Prices are very reasonable and they will always make menu substitutions with out charging. This cafe deserves a 5 star and a lot of other restaurants do especially in such hard times. As I read some comments on this cafe and other restaurants people should stop and think before posting comments. Post facts not assumptions and ask for management. Unless you want to be that guy😏. Everyone works extremely hard for their business and some businesses will have kids that might not have as much experience than others but give them a chance. Call management before posting. No one goes to work saying, oh I’m going to destroy someone’s dining experience. To the man who posted a comment about bringing in outside food without asking due to your child being autistic, it’s a health code violation to do that. Since it wasn’t busy and probably in their down time in between rushes maybe you should have just asked instead of bringing it in on your own. Kind of doesn’t make sense that you say someone has an attitude because they are doing their job and protecting all patrons coming in. I have a child thats allergic to nuts and they will put the ice cream walnuts out back so we can sit at the bar in our favorite seats. Everyone is very tired and over worked trying to get through the pandemic so everyone should try and be a little bit nicer! Pay it forward!

What a perfect little diner. This is how diners should be. Good taste, great value, no fussiness, consistent quality. Not the world's best dishes, but as a whole, everything on the menu is really good.

Great meatloaf diner, the fish sandwich is great, fries fried right, the tater tots, actually the best... And the breakfast burrito is pretty dang good.

Almost every day is a special like .50¢ wings, discounted burgers or fish dinners.

This is #1 and a great adventure. The food is so awesome, yes onion rings & fries are 2nd to none and the service is so personal. When they ran out of lemons for my scallops, they literally ran to the store to get some so I could eat my meal instead of pick something else. I have been a fan before, but tonight with that effort I will go out of my way to eat here more often. Everyone eating tonight in there loved every kind of food they ordered, it was so much fun.!!!!!

The top review of the woman threatening to call the police over some meat she wanted cooked more is ridiculous. How are you going to type out that you're going to call the cops on them then get upset when the manager says you're intimidating the staff? Lmao. I love CJs and I go there after work all the time for some quick and easy food.

A worthy successor of the late Riley's Roast Beef. Most of the menu carried over, in a new baseball-themed decor. The service is reasonably quick, friendly and the food is good and priced fairly. They're actively working to get Saturday cruise nights back, as well.

Love this place!! The service is great!! Also the food is amazing and berry tasty. I love Saturdays when they have cruise night!! It's feels so welcoming! It's family friendly and just a great atmosphere!

Our neighborhood 'go to' place for comfort food at very reasonable prices. Staff, no matter how busy, attentive, helpful l, and friendly. Special orders don't upset them.

I like that you can get breakfast lunch and dinner there. The food is consistently good. And the menu diverse. They also have daily specials. Great food at a good price.

I've always loved CJ but when they went out of their way to make sure I had an enjoyable meal even after closing it made me love them more. My money (and tummy) are well served and will happily return :)

I absolutely love Cjs. The atmosphere and the people are great! My first time here was when I was 4 months pregnant with my son Cameron james (C.J)😉 in the summer and instantly fell in love with there root beer floats that i had been craving for so long 💜 We came again when he was 3 months and than again today and he is 16 months on the 30th!!!! Our family will continue to come here for many years to come. Thank you cjs for being family friendly and making great food and keeping a smile on everyones face

Got the two for $ 5 English muffin special with cheese and bacon sunny side eggs. Very satisfying ! The special also comes with a drink / coffee

No frills but decent and cheap breakfast, lunch, dinner and ice cream served in a very friendly atmosphere with occasional vintage cars to marvel.
