Shift Kitchen & Cocktails

I have come here twice (Birmingham location) in less than a week lol. Each time was great. On my first visit my waiter's name was Chris and he was outstanding. He explained every item on the menu, he checked up on me in a timely fashion, just overall great service from him. The Bartender Nate made the best cocktails (I had a Lemon Drop and a Strawberry Lemon Drop) He even came to the table to introduce himself and made sure the drink was to my liking.
Food was good, I really liked the garlic aoli with the fries. Fried lobster tacos were delicious. Filet Sliders were good. I'm not a big fan of pretzel buns so I would have preferred a different type of bread but overall they were good
My second visit I sat at the Bar. Mike was the Bartender and he made me a Cosmopolitan. I ordered Sweet & Spicy Shrimp, Scallops, Pei Mussels and Grilled Wings. Everything was tasty but the wings. If you're a fan of char-grilled taste, than you'll like the wings.

This is my new favorite go to spot. I recently visited the Birmingham location this weekend and the service was phenomenal. Chris was our server and he was the best server I ever had and I dine out quite frequently lol. Nate the bartender made the best cocktails, they make an excellent team. I will be coming back for happy hour next week. Amazing food and drinks if your looking for a great place to dine in, look no further Shift is the perfect spot

We had a fantastic meal at Shift Grosse Pointe. The Mezza Plate, Seared Ahi Tuna and Filet Tips were all delicious. Service from Nicole was friendly and welcoming. We will be back.

Food was amazing. Tried almost everything on the menu between our group of 6. The cocktails were perfect. The music was a vibe and the live singer was great too. Service was fast and attentive and the happy hour is an amazing deal. Definitely will be back.

Shift has great music and I love the cozy, retro vibe booths, or sitting at the bar watching them make their delicious craft cocktail. The service is great and the bartenders are amazing, especially Jonathan! It's a great place to go with your friends or a date. Easy parking across the street, too.

My husband and I were riding our bikes around when we stumbled across this restaurant. It was Happy hour so 40% off food! I had the seared tuna and my husband had the vegetarian board and we both absolutely loved our meals. I had the espresso martini and he had an old fashioned and are picky on our cocktails, and these were amazing! We will definitely be back!

I cannot rate Shift high enough! Especially the fun of mixology classes presided over by Kap and skillfully facilitated by Erica! So enjoyable and filled with fun and cocktails! The history in between is priceless. Thanks so much for an unforgettable experience!

Really nice vibe, cozy and comfortable, great service! The taco /tequila Tuesday’s are the way to go! First time last week for GNO and will be back!

Shift was definitely a vibe that fits 25-35 year olds perfectly! The drinks were spot on, service was great, and their selection was vast enough to accommodate everyone’s taste. I highly recommend them if you are looking for a quick night out.

My boyfriend Scott and I first met at Shift 2 years ago, and we never really left. John and Nathan are fantastic (and hilarious). They always make the perfect dirty martini for me, and I cant seem to get it that way anywhere else. The ambiance is FANTASTIC! Especially at Christmas time WOW. They even have live music many nights of the week. Drew Berries has one of the smoothest voices I've ever heard- no joke. He makes the place even more special. Food is great, AMAZING truffle fries. Have never been disappointed. We will definitely never leave!

We dined outside and enjoyed our drinks, services were great too! I enjoyed the nachos, the ambience was on point! It’s only Birmingham Michigan but I guess it still gave that feel of downtown Hollywood with drivers by showing of their latest machines outside, Bimas and AMG’s of this world. We actually enjoyed ourselves and so, definitely 5 star. My wife however didn’t like the traffic speeding by, but like I said, it gives that DOWNTOWN Hollywood or Copenhagen feel which you’d have to like to enjoy the outdoors!

We had an outstanding time here! The happy hour, as other have commented on, is amazing! Drinks are a little pricey, but with the food specials it all averages out to an amazing experience at a reasonable price! Highly recommend!

This is one of the best happy hours I’ve experienced in metro Detroit. The drinks were so good, the ambiance was a vibe, the live music was so soothing, and the food was excellent.

On top of that, the bartenders provided excellent customer service. I left my Brussels behind accidentally and when I realized and came back the bartender gave me fresh ones. 10/10 service. Would highly recommend and definitely return.

The bartender was super attentive. The drinks are pricey, however, they use high quality products which makes the drink completely worth the price.

My husband and I went here around 10 on a Friday night. The place got quite busy but Mike and Avery did a superb job of checking in on all the patrons. The live musician that night complimented them during his set as well. We didn’t have anything to eat but the drinks were great. We’ll definitely go back.

Music is outstanding. Hummus isn’t good at all.
