Rented the EV Special and much to my delight, it was a Willy Jeep! Yup, the cool one we all want to be seen in but for long hauls, don’t want to own. It was perfect for my short weekend and my son and I loved it. The pickup was in the designated spot after the shuttle bus. It was gassed up and spotless. Drop off was easy as always with another shuttle waiting and ready to take us back to the airport terminal. Love the app with directions to the drop off location too!

Shuttle bus seats are red too))) and very sod with cushions))) rental car assistant was very nice and kind. Fortunately, there was no line when we got here, and we got our car in a minute. The car we got was new and spacious, clean with no smell. Some rental cars have specific smell sometimes, even if it a newer car. Hopefully our was not.

Were the lines long? Sure. Despite them being short staffed I was taken care of. The first car I was given had the maintenance service lights on turn shortly after I left the lot and Ms. Jeet was gracious to upgrade my vehicle to something better when I returned the next day. Thank you Ms. Jeet for your great customer service.

I had great experience with Avis. I had mistakenly left my phone in my rental car when I got on the bus at DTW. I said something to Isaac the driver about lost and found since I was too tight on time for my plane to go back and get the phone. He quickly radioed to his associate who brought it to me in lees than 5 minutes!! What customer service!!!

I had to travel for work and it was cold and snowing, they upgraded me to a SUV, very easy to drive in the snow and I felt safe.

Chelsea was fantastic. Renting a car can be a pain. Especially when it’s late and everyone is tired and ancy to get home. Chelsea helped me out. She was easy to work with, quick and knowledgeable about what was happening. She even gave me a free upgrade. Made the renter experiences pretty quick and easy. The car did have a couple issues but we got that taken care of.

I left my cell phone in the car rental at the DTW airport. When I realized what I had done I just accepted that I would have to miss my flight and book another. I ended up taking the shuttle back to the Avis office as they radioed back and forth trying to find it. When I got to the office, not only had they found my phone, but the manager had a driver take me directly to the terminal. Due to the great customer service response of the manager (Danny?) and the 2 female drivers (Eleanor? and ?), I had time and did not miss my flight. I have always used Avis because I believed that I would get great customer service but now I KNOW this to be true. Thank you so very much!

I believe the advanced technology utilized make the entire process streamlined and very efficient. Although I had to go to the preferred counter, it took less than a minute for the agent to assign a car to me, and I was on my way. When I returned the car, I don't think I was even out of the vehicle yet and received the email with my statement for the rental. That's FAST!

I flew in from Texas to Detroit to rent a car from Avis there was no line the service was fast I got a nice jeep drop off was easy I didn't get no extra charges that's the kind of service I like the guy at the counter can't remember his name was very nice I came down due to death and he tried to cheer me up with jokes

Great place to rent a car. They got me a nice GMC of some sort, which ran perfectly and didn't eat up much gas. Check-in and check-out were simple and quick, and they were nice at the counter. No hard-sell on the optional insurance, either. Would highly recommend-

The Avis staff at the Detroit Airport did a phenomenal job working through a severe winter storm!!

The Avis crew was operating under EXTREMELY challenging circumstances at the Detroit Airport (DTW) on January 12th and 13th due to a significant snowstorm that caused myriad flight delays and cancellations leaving travelers stranded and in need of ground transportation. The weather also contributed to difficulty for many employees to get to work for their respective shifts that Friday night and Saturday.

My flight was delayed and arrived at DTW at 3am. I got to the Avis facility just after 4am and there were roughly 75 people in line, all with reserved autos. It took about four hours to get up to the counter and the line continued to have between 65 and 80 people as some would leave with their cars and others would arrived from the airport. That had to be rough duty for all the Avis staff as the rental agent had to call outside for each vehicle and the ground staff were getting her car ID's one by one.

For most of this time, there was just one Rental Agent on duty. . .until about 6:30/7am when a co-worker arrived for his shift. They worked together for a while--which I think was beyond the first agent's normal shift--and then she left. I was not able to get her name, but she did an outstanding job! She kept her cool the whole time, greeted every single person with a smile as they got up to the counter and got people processed as quickly as possible under the circumstances. I think the facility manager may have been the person outside checking people/cars out at the exit and calling car ID's in to the Rental Agent for each customer. He was also extremely professional and did a great job of thanking both the rental agent--who had about 70 anxious faces looking her way for hours--and the customers in line for their patience. This came across loud and clear to all of us in line as they were using a walkie-talkie or maybe a cell phone on speaker to communicate.

A tough situation to be sure. . .and the DTW Avis staff did a phenomenal job!

Surprising for a rental car experience, this occasion was Excellent all around. Pickup late on a Wednesday, Nissan car was fine with great MPG, and return went without a hitch. Both shuttle drivers, to & from, were helpful & took their responsibilities to customers seriously. 10 outta 10, this time. Your experience may vary....

Car was not at location posted waited in line further 1 hour picked up ca reeked of smite. Keys had back of. Front quarter panel was loose. Debt on drivers door. White paint on rear drivers side window. Electronics did not work. No radio etc.

The Staff was extremely helpful, caring, kind and accommodating. She went over and above to make sure that I got everything I wanted and needed. I would recommend renting from Avis/ Budget Detroit Airport anytime. Just make sure that you do have a credit card when you do. My experience was awesome.

Forgot to refuel before entering lot. Tried to leave to refuel since I still had a whole day rental left but was told I could not leave because the car automatically checks itself in.

I was in town to visit family and the Avis team at DTW on Oct 19 were great!

From the moment Lawrence picked me up in the shuttle to being on my way...the team there on October 19 - 20 were excellent!

The car they provided me with was brand new and made my family trip all the better.

I always use Avis. The associates are very friendly and quick. The cars are clean and look like they are newer. I always take the first flight out,therefore, I drop the car off around 3am, take the shuttle to the airport and never had a problem. I would advise everyone to use Avis!
