The Backroom at Molti

Food is still excellent. Split the burger, which was massive (and massively priced at $24) as well as tasty. Brussels sprouts with anduje were delicious. Citrus salad was refreshing and very light. Drinks were well done, particularly the Smoke Show (mezcal, habanero, lime). Nice to have Cat's Meow on draft as well. Service at the bar was very friendly.

We started off a little rocky in regard to timing (we had to wait for another table to get up to have our booking) but once we sat down we have a beautiful dinner.

Our service was on point and the food was absolute perfection. We started off with meat and cheese platters, olives and chips. Everything was so good. We then moved on to some lovely bottles of wine and our mains. Friends loved the spaghetti (5 were ordered at the table) and the chicken was delish. Only recommendation is to swap salsa verde with chimichurri.

This is a perfect spot for date night, friends night out, anything. The Backroom is beautifully renovated and elevated. Perfect dinner!

Hip. Happening. OPEN after renovations.... We went the other night and couldn't be happier. We enjoyed the Wagyu meatballs, grilled octopus,carmelised scallops, carbonara fettucine with asparagus, and corn risoto, not to mention the exquisite desserts... The food was tasty, unique and well prepared. You just can't find these food combinations anyplace else. Our server was excellent too and knew the menu well so as to help us with some tough decisions. I really wanted a taste of it all but he helped us make great choices and we were very pleased for a wonderful night out. It was pretty busy (but not too loud to detract from conversation), and the energy was positive.We will be back!

Nice staff! The atmosphere is great for drinks and hanging out with some friends! They have great liquir selection and the food was nice too! You can buy some gourmet food to go.

If you love cured meat and thoughtful sandwiches you gotta give this place a go. Its lovely, the staff is kind and thoughtful, definitely a great lunch spot

Perfect place to stop in for a quick bite to eat with friends. The quality of the meat is out of this world. This place perfectly captures the spirit of the steampunk city with its old world aesthetic and attention to detail.

It's truly a delicious experience from deli to bar. Top quality is their game!

The staff at Molti go above and beyond to care for their customers. We have do distance dine due to a health concern and asked if we could be seated a bit away from others. The Molti staff took our request so seriously, made us feel so comfortable and provided absolutely amazing service. The servers are professional and put safety as a priority. The food is, as always, amazing, and we had just an amazing "normal" experience. We will be back again and again!!! Thank you, Molti, for coming out of the pandemic stronger!

I had only been to Moody's for lunch and some meats, but this was my first visit to the Backroom. The food was stellar, both in quality and presentation. The service was fantastic and our server was extremely attentive as well as super passionate about the menu. Great place to get a reservation and plan to sit for a long dining experience. Really cool menu to explore with a diverse beer, wine & liquor selection

The food was amazing. We shared a charcuterie board. Based on other charcuterie boards ordered in different restaurants, we were expecting the same, a very small amount of items for a high price. But it was tasty. My sister and I ordered scallops. They were served on a bed of delicious corn and bacon. The scallops were tender and seasoned well. I would have preferred at least 1 additional scallop instead of just 3. My husband ordered the porchetta. It was mouth watering and cooked to perfection. My brother in law ordered a steak which was cooked perfectly and he enjoyed it. We had Panacotta and peach cobbler for desert. Altho, they didn’t have any Jack Daniels on hand, the cocktails we had were unique. The atmosphere and ambiance was perfect for a great evening. Our waitress was friendly and pleasant.

This place is back after some drama...lost liquor license, ownership change. The menu is similar but with less meat...plenty of vegetarian/fish stuff. There is maybe more emphasis on small plates, which works great at the bar.
The cocktails are still great but maybe less ambitious. Still a great wine list.
Can't wait to go back and try the pasta.

With the exception of one thing, everything about the evening was perfect. The only minor grape we had was that the lobster pancetta was a little too salty for our liking. Other than that, the rest of the food, ambiance, the service was all great! This was our fourth time here, and we will continue to return time and again.

Amazing selection of charcuterie items. The food is well seasoned and very well executed. I recommend asking to sample before committing to anything especially if you aren't familiar with headcheese and things of that nature. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable so you might enjoy a great meal and learn a thing or two. I recommend this place for a date, it's a bit tight in there space wise and definitely make a reservation. The duck and the pork belly casserole were really tasty.

The food here is amazing! We've been here at least 5 times in the last year and have enjoyed the experience every time. Superior cocktails, great meats and cheeses. The dining room is a little loud, but otherwise a perfect experience.

Moody's never fails to satisfy. Their meat is thoughtfully prepared, the drinks delightful, and the food overall exquisite. While the price of meals is rather high, the overall experience is one to be savored. They also recently opened an extension to the back room, and it is a charming addition.

Great, unique dining experience. It is a high end butchery. The staff are well educated on the dishes. The recommended food and drinks based on your preferences and what you are getting without being pushy. It can be hard to get a table and it is expensive, but it is worth it!

Greatest restaurant in Waltham. Super friendly staff - all the employees are engaging, outgoing, and polite. If your server is Helen you're gonna have a great dining experience. She's the best!

The food is tremendous, packed with flavor, portioned very generously, and worth every penny. Whether you're ordering appetizers, entrees, or desserts, you will not be disappointed.

Went once a few weeks ago because we had heard such good things, and we were not disappointed. The charcuterie boards here are incredible, as you'd expect from a high end deli that cures all their own meats.

The flatbreads coming out of the oven are top notch, and many showcase the expert work of the butchers on the other side of the wall. We'll be back to explore more of the menu for sure.

They also have a small, but fantastic and well-vetted selection of beers from local breweries (Trillium, Exhibit A, Night Shift and one more on tap when we went... if only they had Castle Island too!)

The one thing I will say is to bring your wallet. Moody's is going for a high end, gourmet dining experience, and it is priced accordingly. You won't get out of here cheap, but trust me, it will be totally worth it.

Wow, the food here is so good!
My first time here, but was with friends that knew the place well. We decided early on to do this family style so We would have the opportunity to taste more of the menu. We started with a Charcuterie plank with house made meats and cheeses. The molé sausage and the camembert were my favorites but there wasn't a less than delightful taste on the plank. What an excellent way to experience new meats and cheeses. My advice is to trust your server! They listen to your likes and dislikes and do provide excellent guidance. Next the Never the Same Waygu meatballs and the pork/scallops. Both were well above and beyond my expectations. Next we enjoyed the sausage of the day and the ribs. Both cooked to perfection. We finished with the Lemon torte and chocolate mousse. Wonderful experience. Looking forward to our next visit. Remember to listen to your server, they are indeed a few steps ABOVE your average order takers.

Came on a Saturday night and had a great meal. Classy but not pretentious. Food was delicious and inventive and drinks were good, too. A bit pricey but worth it. Would dine again.
