Tutor Time of Powell

Tutor Time has been great for my daughter. She was enrolled for their Pre K program and now does wrap around kindergarten. Both programs are amazing. The staff is always friendly and quick to respond to my questions. Billing is simple. They easily accommodate my scheduling needs as a working mom. I’d recommend Tutor Time to anyone looking for a safe, happy school/daycare for their little ones.

Tutor Time is like our second family. My boys, now 7 and 8, started going there when they were each 12 weeks old and have loved every minute. The staff and teachers are fantastic and enriching. Both kids were very well prepared for kindergarten and the wrap around kindgergarten was great. Heather and Nichole are so wonderful and really treat every child as if they were their own. They are very responsive to any questions or concerns that may come up. Our family is so pleased that we chose Tutor Time!!

Tutor Time Powell is a amazing center! My day has gone her for all most two years now! We have experienced the preschool class room and she is now in PreK she loves coming to school everyday! I enjoy being able to see daily updates on the Brigtwheel app that is available to all students! I get to see the fun activities that my daughter gets to participate in while she is learning and having fun! Her school is very clean and smells good too! I would recommend this place to anyone.

We have been part of the Tutor Time family for the past 5 years. With our two kids, we've experienced every room in the center - from infant to school age summer camp, and have been incredibly happy with our experience! Whenever I talk to someone about Tutor Time, I tell them it's like an extended family.

My son has been at Tutor Time for 4 years. The entire staff is wonderful. They work extremely hard to make sure our kids are happy and safe. The teachers are very attentive and nurturing. I highly recommend this daycare center!!

We have been a part of the Tutor Time family for 5 years and are so thankful we chose this school. When you see your children race through the front doors and into their classrooms before you can catch up with them... then you KNOW you have found the right school! We are constantly amazed at the level of education being provided to our kids, in a caring, fun and safe environment. It is apparent to us that the teachers truly love our kids, often becoming a trusted adult in which they can confide their feelings. When we have faced challenging times with our kids, we have collaborated with the staff to ensure that we are all on the same page to provide consistency in guiding our kiddo through the difficult phase. Tutor Time has been a tremendous partner in helping our children become the amazing kids that they are!

This is a lovely center for children. The Director Heather, and Assistant Director, Nicole are always very professional. Everyone there takes wonderful care of the children. Very clean and organized, and yet they always have fun events and activities for the children and families.

Daughter has a heart condition and they are prepared to handle the task as always. They help her with her homework and helps her progress.

First child went here for several years. It was our first daycare and we disnt know how good we had it. She learned a lot and it felt like every week she knew new words, ideas, etc.

Later we went to another local daycare and while she was always safe and happy, she didn't learn nearly as much or seem to be in a learning environment.

I'd go back to tutor time any day or recommend them to friends without reservation.

My son was enrolled in this school. When I initially toured this school, I thought it would be a good fit for our family. However, my personal experience with Tutor Time of Powell has been extremely negative. First, in my personal experience with my son and his classroom teachers, there has been an extremely high turnover rate of teachers and assistant teachers. This always left my son dealing with new people all of the time, and he could never get close to any of his teachers. In his Pre-K class alone, he had dealt with over 5 different teachers and assistants. At one point, there was a very young man out of high school who was acting as an assistant teacher (I know this because they send home info sheets about new staff and Tutor Time listed that he had just graduated high school). During his time as an assistant in my son's classroom, my son (4 years old at the time) was sent home because him and the male assistant were playing too rough and my son "was aggressive towards him". Soon after that, he no longer held a position in my son's classroom. My son would constantly come home, telling me his teachers were mean to him. Also, once I started doing my research of other schools, I noticed that the teacher to student ratio was a much more comfortable number to me than at Tutor Time. For example, in his pre-k class, there were 25 students in one class alone whereas other schools had maybe 10-12 students per one pre-k class. In my opinion, it's harder for a child to have a one-on-one connection with their peers and importantly, their teachers, when the classroom size is so large. I have spoken with other parents who had children attend Tutor Time of Powell who had similar experiences, or in my opinion, worse. Unfortunately, when there is an issue, there is no superintendent to go to since this is a franchise. In mine and my son's experience, less than two weeks after he started kindergarten full time at their facility, I was contacted by their director via phone and was told that their classroom wasn't a good fit for my son and I had two days to find a new school. I definitely did myself a disservice not doing my research of other schools in the area. Please thoroughly do your research of all schools in the area. I was overall extremely disappointed in my experience with Tutor Time and since my son has left that school, he has been much happier -- and that makes me a happier mother as well.
