Quarry Rock Picnic Area

What a great little park! It was cold and rainy when I visited in December but the waterfall was awesome (that's why I went). I imagine this place gets busy in the summer, I think you can play in the water and there seemed to be some nice walking trails.

It's places like this that remind you of how beautiful Ohio really is.
Sometimes, I even actually forget im even in Ohio when I visit one of the Metro parks.
I spent over 7 hour's here just wandering and drinking in the beauty of Fall and all of it's colors.
Saw numerous cranes, and even walked up on one sleeping with it's head tucked down in it's wing, we both completely scared each other, me when it woke up and took flight, poor crane, because I screamed thinking it was a big clump of leaves not realizing it was a crane asleep.

Very nice area where you can bring an inner tube and slide down the rocks. You can also walk, but you have to be careful not to step in any holes or deeper pockets of water. There's also a few picnic tables by the parking lot with grills to make a day out of it.

This is a great place to splash around in the heat. There are a few natural water slides and a swing. For the water slides, wear dark colored swim stuff or it might get stained green from the algae/moss. There's lots of shade especially later in the day, but still a spot of sun until around 6:30 (as of August).

A lovely and peaceful place to play in the river or just sit and listen to the waterfall. We were surprised by the size. The waterfall is absolutely beautiful!

A must visit hike near Henry Church Rock hiking area. The trail is fun and exciting, but definitely on the more challenging end. I think this is what makes this spot a lot less populated though, which I prefer. The falls are beautiful as well, and you can view the 4 Squaw rock falls from this trail as well.

Definitely a family favorite place to come! It was shown to my by my photographer (she captured my wedding photos here.) & We have comes so many times as a family since then.

Nice scenery and a good place to cool off with the kids. The waterfalls are awesome and you can get up close to them because the water is ankle deep for the most part with parts being up to my mid thigh. I am 6’2” though. I didn’t share images of the falls because I think you should see them yourself. You better come early though. Around 11 it gets super busy.

This place is fantastic. Recommend hiking shoes because trails are little slippery and muddy but that makes it all the more fun! A lot to see, water falls, cliffs, carvings in the rocks, & the river. It is a gem!

It's so nice to walk trough the water and the falls. The dogs loved it.

To me this place is heaven! Love 💖 This place immensely! Absolutely gorgeous & so incredibly wonderful that you can swim in the quarry! Amazing 🤩 love being in the water it's the greatest feeling in the world! The Wonderful woodland experience only about 40 minutes from where I live, it's beautiful, peaceful, I loved it so much! One of the few natural bodies of water left in Ohio where you can legally swim in without getting arrested or fined.

Nice picnic area with a few spots overlooking the river. You can play in the multiple waterfalls along the river. There are hiking trails as well.. Its a beautiful spot!

This was a nice place to go with my 9-year-old the view is wonderful

Excellent place to relax, cool down, and spend some time with family or friends. Great for tubing!

Why am I even reviewing this when I don't want more people to know about it? Ok so trust me, it's lame. No shopping. Weak cell tower signals. And the approach to the river's edge is somewhat inclined and full of white noises. Forest bathing is overrated. It's inconvenient that Henry Church Rock is on the other side of the river, forcing you to search out a sturdy walking stick before making the perilous journey across to see the serpent carving. Give those first responders a break and head to the ice cream shop instead. You'll never realize what you missed.

Beautiful park that has groomed trails and a water's edge that I could stare at and listen to all day!

I would say this is one of the more frequented areas of the South Chagrin Reservation, and for good reason. Known for its main falls at the bottom of the hiking trails, there are also 5 others falls to see while walking along the creek and even more a little further South at the Sulphur Springs picnic area, which makes for a great creek walk.

This is my main go-to spot, but there are a lot of wonderful parks all around Cleveland.

The view was great! Wasn't hard to hike down and get close to the falls too.
