This place has been open over 90 years and I’d be so sad if I could not dance here again one day, so I’m glad they started serving food to stay open and it was so much better than we expected!

The pizza was crispy with a hearty tomato sauce. The wings were so juicy and fall-off-the-bone tender.

Perfect with a cold ganssett, they hit the nail on the head for pub food I used to eat in Buffalo.

I get alcohol poisoning every time I go there. It’s my favorite place 🥰🥰

Well, I brought my 9-year-old daughter here on a Saturday night. Everything was fine until she came out of the bathroom screaming at the DJ to play Brutalismus 3000 and asking me to hit my "vape." I don't even have a vape. She then started pointing at random men and saying "oh my god, HE'S here now? we gotta get outta here girl." as we left she dapped up the bouncer and said she owes him a cigarette.

I don't know what it is about this place, but it's something magical for sure. Great for kids!

bring friends and you are guaranteed to have a great time. Don't be a jerk or you'll get treated like one.

Cheap drinks at a cash-only bar, cool staff, good vibes, and a buzzing dance floor. Bring your friends but consider getting there early to beat the line. Shoutout to Sully the OG.

Awesome selection of music! They played some old hits interspersed with new hits. Kind of divey. They have a section for the sit and drink type people and a section for the get up and dance people, where they have some really cool lights. It was alot of fun especially if you like to dance!

Boldly curated, with an emphasis on undiscovered artists. Presentation is creative, requiring the patron to make an effort to appreciate the works. Prices are reasonable for the quality, but be aware that pieces can disappear quickly.

Good whiskey, helpful though aloof staff. Stay away from the water.

The Model Cafe is by far my favorite bar in Allston, if not all of Boston. The drink selection doesn't knock it out of the park, but it is pretty good and always has more than a couple of tasty beers on tap. The mixed drinks are strong, and everything is reasonably priced. The decor is great, and more importantly, the staff is awesome and the people who drop in are fantastic.

Some friends and I like to come in on the slower weekdays and play some card or board games over a few pints. While waiting for friends to show up, the bartender will chat with you and tell you the local lore and other bar flies will strike up conversation. When it gets a little later and we are done playing games and are just chatting and drinking, a DJ might come in and throw down some old school punk or metal.

The place is a bit rowdier and more crowded on the weekends with a fun alternativish crowd. It is good solid people watching if nothing else, and after a few drinks most people tend to get friendly and chatty.

If you are tired of generic Boston sports bars or high end bars where you feel out of place in anything less than business casual, Model Cafe is the place for you.

Great staff with the best bar pizza in Allston. Don't sleep on their wings either!

Everyone loves model or loves to hate model. Classic dive bar with a rowdy group after midnight. Come here for a fun night, cheap beers, and good company.

Model usually has a great vibe. Bartenders are nice and no fuss, I like that you can actually dance here too!

Favorite dive in the Allston area. Closes late every day. Also Wed-Sun usually has a good crowd at the bar socializing.
