I really enjoy this lovely park. There is a large parking lot, a couple of small playgrounds, and a bathroom facility that is open year round. The Mt. Vernon bike trail runs through this park underneath the Woodrow Wilson Bridge. There are great views of the bridge, as well as the Potomac. Jones Point Park is also here, where you can see the old Jones Point Lighthouse. It's a very short walk to the lighthouse, but a really nice place to spend a day. Very shady when it's hot if you stay under the bridge!

A little of a lot of activities in a beautiful and well-managed national park! Historic placards, playground, Mt. Vernon Trail, fishing, shaded benches, basketball, field for picnics, and I didn't get to the north side. It's compact so great for an afternoon away, but without the travel time from D.C.

Great use of space below the interstate. Fishing, basketball running and cycling. The entrance road can be a little tricky to find. Awesome place to start a ride on the Mount Vernon trail to Mt. Vernon or downtown DC. Restrooms picnic tables and park benches around.

Beautiful, mostly shaded park. Historic signs along the trail share the history of the area. There is a child's playground, restrooms, a water faucet that even has a low bowl for pups, a basketball area and plenty of parking. It's fun to see the land markers for Maryland, D.C. and Virginia as you walk through the park. Worth checking out if you're in the area.

This is such a fun and unique space! Our dogs love it and are so tired after exploring. It looked like there were 2 different parking lots - we parked in the one by the playground and closer to old town Alexandria. There’s always been plenty of parking when we’ve visited! There is a small building with public restrooms in the middle of the area under the bridge. Water fountains for humans and dogs. Basketball courts. We’ve even seen people grill out and have picnics! The lighthouse is also super cute and fun to visit.

A lovely park in the south part of old town alexandria. It has a large walking trail and is bike friendly, and pet friendly as well. There was plenty of parking available there on a Saturday afternoon.

The views from the park are really beautiful and calming. There are historical fact graphics along the trails, and thankfully bathrooms as well (although the men’s bathroom had a big leak on my visit).

It’s a great spot for a picnic, or to get out of the house :)

Amazing spot on a sunny hot day - huge space under the bridge is completely shaded and paved with a lovely light breeze coming off the water - perfect for kiddo learning how to ride a bike. Aesthetically striking and practical space with lovely trails and playgrounds and lots of green and waterfront around the covered bridge area. Loved it.

This is one of my favorite chill out spots right on the water. There's something to do for everyone. Got kids? There's a basketball court, blacktop, and playground. Nice trails. Beautiful views of DC (you can see the Washington Monument) and the National Harbor. Need shade? Stay under the bridge. Like to fish? You're not alone. Lots of fishers out. Wanna relax? Bring your portable chair and just relax by the water. Also, they have actual restrooms.

One of the coolest outdoor spaces in the DMV! I discovered this place because of the boxing gym I’m a part of hosts classes here every Sunday 1-3! It is on the waterfront but all of the area under the bridge is a giant parking lot that is no longer accessible to cars. I have seen groups practicing roller skating, a group doing a dungeons and dragons like event, there’s a bball court, kids riding bikes, people practicing karate, yoga, you name it! It’s awesome because it’s all covered, so even if the weather calls for rain, you can still enjoy the outdoors!

There is a long paved trail that (I believe) goes all the way back into DC. It lines the waterfront, has tons of cute stopping points along the way, eventually leads you towards a wonderful sunset, and at night you can see the Ferris Wheel across the Potomac River at the national harbor!

Great destination for a run from Old Town Alexandria. It's a little less than a mile and a nice run along the water brings you to the entrance to Jones Point Park. From there, a short run under the bridge brings you to green open areas with well kept historical buildings.

Another great example of how the National Park Service maintains our country's history. This is a great park with trails, hoops and gardens. On the Southern edge is the historic South corner of DC and the Jones Point Lighthouse.

Wonderful park with lots of good parking. Bike paths and walking paths. Multiple playgrounds for children. Piers with picnic tables. Plenty of views of DC, national harbor, the Potomac and flights going to DCA. Fishing opportunities also.

Good spot for running or walking or hiking. I tried to fish here and I couldn't hold bottom even with 6oz leads so definetly not for the average fishermanits a fast moving area near the channel for the drawbridge for most of the main fishing spots at the park (2 piers)

Great place to visit. Take your family for exercising, walking, or like myself black and white film photography. Don't forget there is a lighthouse dating back to the days of Lord Baltimore. Enjoy

Great walking but they were having a race we didn't know about so law enforcement told us to walk 15 minutes then turn around to walk back because they were closing the bridge for the race. So it cut down our walk.
