Absolutely wonderful!!

Oliver did a wonderful job serving my family. I took my parents, who live in Pennsylvania, here to show them old town.

I am so thrilled we picked this spot. We got the chowder, shrimp and grits, and crab cake sandwich. That shrimp and grits was chefs kiss.

They even treated us to key lime pie for my 30th ☺ what a wonderful way to leave my 20s

The shrimp po boy is always delicious. Tuna has shifted gears, used to be raw now seared but still good taste. Mussels were not great (but the wife loved them, she's Italian). Never a bad time at Vola's

Excellent customer service. Great view of the Potomac River. Delicious food, we had crab dip, shrimp tacos, lobster roll and salmon. All were delicious 😋 fries with old Bay were yummy too.

Fantastic food and experience! Vola's is in the heart of old town, right on the Potomac River, with a beautiful view of the wharf. The atmosphere is upscale casual, and you can dress up or down. It's family friendly. The food is amazing! Try the crab dip, it's a must-have. The service is excellent, and the wait staff are super friendly and attentive.

We stopped for appetizers and cocktails. girls trip 2024. New England Clamchowder was delicious. I also had the beat salad, yum... my friends enjoyed the hush puppies.. bloody mary was so/so.. they could have made a better bloody..

This restaurant definitely didn't disappoint. They have indoor and outside seating overlooking the water. Everything from the starters to our meal was flavorful and fulfilling. Highly recommend✔✔✔ I will be seeing you again soon!

Sebastian was amazing ! He was very attentive and made sure we enjoyed our experience ! Will defiantly be back ! He even subscribed to my YouTube channel which was super sweet ! Give him a raise !!

Great happy hour during the weekday 3-7 pm. Only available at the bar or Hightops. Got a dozen mixed oysters and the crab dip (with delicious cheesy slightly spiced bread). Good selection of cocktails and draft beer.

The view is beautiful as well of the Potomac River.

Great food, great service. They were packed but found us a quick seat at a high top in the bar. The bar seating wasn't the reason for the 4-star atmosphere rating. It was the entry/exit door to the bar. The door slams SO loud every time it is opened and closed. Some adjustment or a new closer would go a long way!

We came here for brunch. The food is excellent, and the outdoor seating on the waterfront can't be beat. I would recommend going on a day where that seating will be pleasant. The wind off the river can be biting in the winter.

Absolutely gorgeous evening! Was greeted enthusiastically by staff at the door, got ushered to their covered patio area (right next to the water, with the sea breeze flavoring the air as you dine!), and proceeded to have a lovely meal!

Shared a bottle of wine with a friend and enjoyed Oysters Rockefeller, a bottle of the house red blend, and some seared scallops, and blackened salmon that were enjoyed both in restaurant and later, as we were given boxes and lovely bags to sneak some home!

Staff was fantastically attentive, we didn't want for a thing the whole time, and got to enjoy a Dockside view and total relaxation!

Some of the best fries I’ve had! Asked if the lobster roll could be toasted/buttered. Rico our host was super nice!

Appetizers - crab dip and shrimp 🦐 was tasty and cooked to perfection. The right amount of crab in the dip.
Dinner - Honey glazed salmon with corn cakes, cilantro rice with tomato butter. Delicious.
All of the food was fresh, served warm and didn’t disappoint !

Instead of cooking, we chose to eat here for Christmas. I had the chowder as well as the shrimp and grits. I ordered extra grits because the sauce to grit ratio wasn't even. The flavor was definitely there. I have no complaints! My friend had the rock fish.

I would also recommend the crab hush puppies. Old bay wings, and old bay fries.

Great setting right on the water. The cocktails were amazing, apps and dinner were delicious. Love all the seafood options. Our server, Sebastian, was awesome - attentive, patient, professional and very personable. We enjoyed talking to him.

Best drinks in all of DMV, I am from Miami and that Pina colada was the best I ever tasted. The bartender ask one question DO YOU TRUST ME? We all said yes at the same time, he give the best drinks and service, so grateful for the experience so sorry for not knowing to order everything we wanted to taste 🙏.

Food was spectacular, the waiter was amazing and views were beautiful! Baked green torpedo oysters and peel and eat shrimp were the perfect appetizers! We heard the crab hush puppies are amazing and we will try them when we go back. Each had a different entree (4 of us), perfectly prepared and tasted great! Wife had shrimp and grits, she loved it! I had the fish and chips, generous portions and prepared wonderfully. I don't remember the other 2 entrees but they were awesome as well.

Went here today for brunch. Food was delicious! Got the crab cake benedict and it was out this world!!! Mimosas were so yummy and the refills are only 4 bucks!! Very nice

Came to this area on the metro on our last day of touring DC. FYI There is a free trolley that will take you all the way down King Street to this waterfront area.

I’m so glad we came here. We popped in for a late lunch (so we could enjoy the monuments at night one more time). Our server was great and offered recommendations for our meals. I had the pan seared scallops and she had the creole shrimp and grits. This was no kidding the best tasting meal we have ever had. The frozen orange crush drink was really good too. Quite refreshing on an extremely hot day.

We were stressing about finding just the right places to eat while on this vacation, and this was it. A perfect meal, great service, tasty drinks, and good atmosphere. If you are searching the depths of the internet for a place to eat while in the DC area, this is it.

We came down for a weekend getaway and I had planned to go elsewhere but our plan changed and we ended up here and when I tell you, this was OUTSTANDING. They were super busy so we sat at the bar but were still so impressed!!
