Demos Watertown

Wow, could it be at least 20 years since we've eaten here since we moved. Loved the bright updated space but the food continues the tradition of being awesome. What's not to love and even though we couldn't finish the giant portions we still squeezed in some yummy baklava. 😋 Demos has got to be on your list if you love real Greek!

Extremely delicious gyro sandwich dinner that also includes a very fresh lettuce 🥬 salad. I have tried a good couple of Greek restaurants in Boston and suburbs and this one by far has the tastiest food while also having very reasonable prices. I also ordered them from UberEats and regardless of delivery or dining in, their food presentation is really great.

This restaurant truly lives up to its name, Demos It's the "demo" for all other restaurants in town.
The food is above and beyond, comparable to those fine dining ones that you go for wedding anniversary. It's steal to enjoy such amazing food at those modest price. Go for it if you are tired of having hiccups trying other restaurants with inconsistent terrible meals that ruins your day.

Truly authentic, outstanding ingredients, service, and food. Extraordinary grilled octopus, outstanding grilled lamb, delicious mousaka. Went with my Greek husband, who is very picky, and he was blown away!

Great Greek food! Everything made to order. Everything was fresh. The beef and lamb kabobs were tender and cooked perfectly. The salads were generous and the house dressing was a nice surprise. So good!! The waitstaff was so friendly and the owner came out and chatted with not just our table, but everyone else. Great bar with a good collection of European beers. A great place for lunch or hearty dinner that won't brake your budget. If you are in Watertown, give Them a try.

Authentic, genuine family Greek. A Watertown institution for decades.

Our first stop in post-Covid since moving back to the area. Demos has come through in fine form, remaining the unpretentious, generous, reliable eatery that it always has been. The chicken kebabs were tender and succulent, the pitas great, the salad huge and fresh (excellent feta). I love the lemon potatoes but the style is *not* for everyone. If you want crispy potatoes go for the fries instead.

Oh—and I ordered takeout via the internet. Completely smooth transaction and the food was ready for me when I walked in the door.

It’s the best Greek food at reasonable prices. A very family friendly restaurant. My parents took us there for dinner as children, I took mine, now they take theirs. We are a big Irish family, and Demi’s is our favorite takeaway! I drive from NH now to go to Demo’s.

Solid kebabs, at a reasonable price. This place has really improved since the remodel. Reminds me of how it was back when I was a kid. Glad to see it back to form!

I order from here regularly and it’s great. You could likely find better quality Greek food at a more upscale spot, but the portions here are generous and you can’t beat the price point. Personally, I’d much rather have a quality go-to takeout spot like Demos. They have a lot of American options on the menu as well, but I think the best stuff is (unsurprisingly) the traditional Greek food.

Moussaka is great. The green beans are too plain without any flavor. I think even add some salt when spoiled would be better.

Demos has catered a few of our office lunches now and are exceptional every time. The spanakopita, the lasagna, the veggie skewers, salad, and rice - all great to feed a large group! Everyone raves about the food when we get it and the catering prices are reasonable. Highly recommend! And since we are close by they delivered for us! Thanks!

I've been a loyal Demos customer for years, and recent updates have refreshed its inviting atmosphere. The restaurant keeps a relaxed vibe, which I like. My top picks are the moussaka and chicken and rice soup.

Went in for lunch and was greeted by George (the bald guy) Very hospitable and knowledgeable about Greek cuisine. I ordered a steak gyro and added feta cheese. Hands down one of the best gyros I’ve ever had. Highly recommended!

Restaurant has been around since 1971. Nice, unassuming decor. Friendly wait staff. You order at the counter, and then they serve you at your table. They even have Greek Beer for an authentic feel.
