O'Briens Pub

Nice local club with friendly staff. Street parking sucks but there's a large lot on the Harvard Ave. block behind the shops. Didn't have anything to eat there so can't rate them on it. Most of the bands were excellent. I would definitely reccomend and return there as they feature noise, industrial, post punk and experimental acts. Saw two great performances! $15 at the door. Draft beer priced reasonably.

A great live music venue for small local acts. Music every day. No frills. You can buy tickets online and at the door. Standing room only.

One of the last real live rock band places left in Boston. Enjoy it before they tear it down to out up more badly but overpriced condos.

Cash only. The drinks are cheap and strong. The music is fast and loud. What else do you want?

Great spot for local/smaller punk bands. Sadly a dying breed in Allston, but please, protect O’Briens at all costs!!

Absolutely class. Robin was really good at guitar, and Batman BATTED the drums like someone who was good at the drums would. They have a solid selection of drinks, as a Welsh person, I was confused by them, but they tasted nice, and that was nice, this is a nice place. Thanks very much! The staff were friendly and short, but still friendly, which I know is tough, and although they had lots of rules about ID, we met the requirements, thanks to our in date British Passports. Punk still lives in O'neills bar, visit if you ever get the chance!!

Great place to watch local bands. Elevated stage with a great sound system.

O'Briens is a 5-star dive bar. The drinks are cheap, the bands are dimly lit and it's cash only so if you're some kind of bourgeoisie slum-living runaway that has an actual bank account you have to use the ATM of shame in the corner. Having a bad time? Get a hot dog, or leave. If you rate this place less than five stars, either you don't know what a dive bar should be or you're a pretentious dingus that can't accept real, filthy joy into your life.

Great little dive bar, drinks were fairly priced but it is cash only. All the bands we saw were great, good place to check out some local talent.

Great venue and the staff and locals were all wicked. I was on my own visiting from the UK and went to a punk show, loadsa fun.

A friend and a recently decided to try O'Briens on a Friday evening, after a maitre d' at a popular nearby establishment refused to seat us or provide an estimate of a wait time. Discouraging.

The ambience was jovial. Esoteric music was playing in the background from some hidden speaker.

My dining mate and I elected to try the prix fix menu featured in calligraphy on the hand-drawn chalkboard. The chef prepared the meal next to our table,

The presentation at first inspection was minimal, until we realized the sauces and dinner ware were intended for patrons to participate in the culi-creative process.

What a delight!

The meat was tender and delicately flavored, and paired perfected with the craft cocktails served with the main course.

Highly recommended if you are looking for a moderately priced dining experience in an intriguing atmosphere.

Great venue for live music and well priced drinks. They take covid restrictions seriously, I felt very safe there!

Rad place to put on a show. Good sound equipment, friendly people, and intimate show settings combine to make it a comfortable place to rock out.

Basic beers are priced well, but everything else is kinda high. Great for shows. Cash only! Come prepared!
