I had a scheduled surgery and a two night hospital stay at Ochsner. From pre-admit to discharge I was treated like I was the only patient at the hospital. From the pre-admission clerk, the security guards, housekeeping, food service staff, nurses, students and doctors, I cannot say enough about the level of professionalism they displayed. My nurses, oh how I loved them all! They are like family to me now! I wish I could have taken them all home with me!

I've been a patient since 2013 and the staff, as well as the Nurses and Doctors are top notch.

I went through the Functional Restoration Program (FRP) as recommended by my Doctor and have recommended it to several of my friends. I'm disabled and had mobility issues. When I started the FRP, I needed a walker to get around, but halfway through the program, I was able to walk and get around unassisted. If you are having chronic pain, the Pain Management Doctors and Nurses work with you to keep you mobile.
They are truly a blessing!

They were all very professional, kind, and exceptionally caring in the Emergency Department! Everyone was top notch! I hope I won’t have to go back, but if I have an emergency you know where I’ll go!

Came in to the ER bleeding during week 7 of my pregnancy after loss. I was terrified and crying. Everyone from the intake nurse to the resident OB to the ultrasound tech was so empathetic, kind, and caring. I went to St. Ann for my previous miscarriage and it was awful. This visit was completely opposite. The doctors took their time listening to me and explaining all the information they had. The staff really made a terribly nerve wracking visit as calm as it could be. I would recommend Ochsner Baptist to anyone, ESPECIALLY pregnant women.

I have never been taken care of the way I was at the ER. I came in with viral gastroenteritis and the staff quickly and efficiently moved me from waiting to treatment, to observation, to a lovely room where I could heal in peace. From the techs being so lovely, the nurses were kind and gentle, and the Drs made me feel seen and heard. I can’t thank you all enough (starts crying) you all saved me and I will never forget it. I wish I had a list of all their names I’ll list them. It can be difficult to remember names in the throws of illness but I will never forget how wonderful you all were. Bless you all. 💕 Xilenia

I delivered twins vaginally at Ochsner Baptist. I had an amazing experience, and was supported wholeheartedly by every single nurse and healthcare provider that I experienced. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Brooke Schexnildre, my OB/GYN. My twins went to the NICU, and likewise, I had an amazing experience there as well. Every single nurse was eager to help, extremely knowledgeable, and supportive in all of my wants and needs. Highly recommend this institution.

This should be a 10 star review!! I just wanted to say thank you so much for the experience. My spouse and I was very nervous about having our first baby girl. The experience was very shocking how many nurses were tentative and asking for help. They made sure we were taken care of every minute of the day. They showed us everything that we needed to know about our baby and what to expect when she gets older. Fast responding on the smallest tasks we requested. They really have the best staff on this planet!! Thank you so much for the amazing experience and hope to have more!!!!

Dr. Laurephile Desrosiers, DO and Kai Capdau, PA-C in the Urogynecology Department are a God send. Their expert knowledge, enthusiasm, professionalism, and amiable demeanor is phenomenal. I am always comfortable when I am there. Thank you so much.

Dr. Desrosiers listened and helped me. I am only one day postop, but I have to say I’m feeling pretty good. Mostly because I found a doctor who listened to what I had to say, and made me feel like it was her calling to help her patients. It doesn’t seem like this is just a job to her… She strives to serve her patients well. And I could not be more grateful.

I was sent to her by the VA, because we don’t have these specialists at our New Orleans hospital… And there’s a good reason why they send our veterans to her. The VA hospital speaks highly of her in general, and I could even hear people speaking highly of her among the staff of Oschner.

Two things to mention: Five stars to the staff as they gave us a terrific service, everything was perfect and Dr Band was an excellent Doctor. For the billing I would say -10 stars: they have sent FOUR accounts already paid to collection and always the burden of proof is on you. You have to contact your HSA Bank to get the scan of the checks and a zillion of requirements. The billing portion of Ochsner is mediocre and rude. But the medical side is top notch.

I was transferred to Baptist ICU. My time spent in the ICU and on the floor was the best care I’ve ever received. The nurses are amazing and the doctors are very knowledgeable and helpful. I was treated very well.

Everyone here is super friendly and knowledgeable. They answered all my questions and was able to explain everything in detail to where I could understand it. I highly recommend this hospital.

From the moment we stepped into Ochsner Baptist it was truly a great experience, from the security guards, cafeteria staff, to the receptionists that always greet when entering the 6th floor—I’ll save the best for last! The nursing staff were tremendous, I tip my hat off to you all! The Labor and Delivery Nurse—Nurse Jess, she is truly an angel! As she would call it, she was our bulldog! Made sure everything was perfect from the time we met her until it was time for the baby to be delivered. Nurse Jess is a class act and she set the standard for what were to come the next 3 days we were at Ochsner Baptist! Words can’t describe the work that she had done to make things go as smooth as it went! You had to be there! Once the baby was delivered I wanted her to be our nurse throughout the whole process. But she had done her job which was to deliver our handsome son! Little did I know that the other nurses on the nursing staff would be just as great as she was. Our first nurse was Nurse Kia! I’d like to thank her for teach a first time dad how to swaddle a baby! Boy was I struggling! She was patient and took the time to teach me! I consider myself a pro now lol! Thank you for that! The next morning we had Nurse Marga and Alex! Man they were amazing, they made everything look easy! I know how hard these ladies work bc I know that we weren’t their only patients! They sure did make us feel as though we were! They were remarkable. After, that night we had Nurse Lea! Nurse Lea was on it! She didn’t miss a beat. When my son would cry through the night I just didn’t what to do. I was definitely puzzled lol. She knew exactly what to do and taught me a couple tricks or two as well! And on our last day we had Nurse Alex and Marga, the Head of Nurse—Nurse Juiliette and Nurse Sanika! Nurse Juliette and Sanika were literally one in the same! The both of them took the time to make sure we were confident and knowledgeable about what to expect the rest of time as we departed from Ochsner Baptist! I can’t forget about the housekeeping lady, Ms. Shelia! She always had great energy and kept us in good spirits! Thank you Ms. Shelia! Thank you Nurse Jess! Thank you Nurse Kia! Thank you Nurse Alex! Thank you Nurse Marga! Thank you Nurse Lea! Thank you Nurse Juliette! And thank you so much Nurse Sanika! Thank you Ochsner Baptist for a magnificent experience! We will never forget you all! I really hope i didn’t leave anyone out because as a whole you all were really great and truly a blessing!! 10/10 definitely will recommend!!

Their not patient friendly at all. I was threatening a heart attack, they treated me like I wasn't there. When the doctor approached me, she was very nasty towards me. It was almost like it was my fault I was there. I had to wind up leaving cause I wasn't treated fairly.

I had a procedure done at Ochsner Baptist, and was extremely pleased with the care and concern the staff as a whole gave me. From Ms. Patty in registration, NA Geneva, nurses Cera. (Pre-procedure) Dominique (procedure) Kim( post-procedure) and (X-ray tech)Melissa . The physicians, Dr. Eshraghi and staff, were so awesome. I felt everyone treated my care as a priority, and I wasn’t just rushed in and out. They rock!!

Excellent care for my dating ultrasound and pregnancy confirmation appointment. Everyone from the sonographer and her trainee, to the nurses, to the security and administrative workers were beyond helpful and kind. I really couldn’t have asked for a better experience.
