Lafayette Street Square is a nice medium sized park that is well kept and well shaded. The trees are beautiful and the square is well laid out. Ironically the statue in the center of the square is not General Lafayette at all but Henry Clay. A bit strange, but a nice shady park to visit and stroll through.

The square has mostly open space with tons grass area for picnic and other fun activities. But I like the most about the park is the trees here. They provide nice showdow for a hot day and plenty of benches to sit and rest. The trees are also much bigger and olders than those of the same spieces you saw on the side of the road. Some of them are so big that their branches dropped to the sideway which looks pretty cool. Unfortuantely you can see the signs of trimming; too bad. The branches spreat out like abstract art; cannot help but taking too many photos of them.

Was there on Mardi Gras Day '24. Had a BLAST! Friendly, kind, and fun people all around. The Mayor was phenomenal when she made toasts with the float's Kings. I highly recommend.

Lafayette Square is a hidden gem in the heart of the city. Its historic charm and lush greenery create a serene escape from the hustle and bustle. The well-maintained gardens, shaded pathways, and beautiful fountains make it a perfect spot for a leisurely stroll, picnics, or simply relaxing. The occasional live music events add a touch of culture and entertainment. It's a tranquil oasis worth visiting, earning a well-deserved 5-star rating.

Went to Luna Fete two days in a row and had a great time. Lots of local artists selling their works, many unique gifts just in time for last minute holiday shopping. The shows this year were amazing, the Arts Council did an awesome job this year with the shows they produced. Great fun for families and big groups.

Nice little square in the business district of New Orleans. Quite pleasant to take a rest or get inspired. I really appreciate the smaller statue of Benjamin Franklin at the entrance of the park. It is nice to swing by the park if it is on your way.

Wednesday night free concerts. Great music chill crowd delight food vendors although a bit pricey. Bring your folding chair or sit on the grass.

We were here for the Crescent Blues and BBQ fest. Great options for BBQ, a few clothing/art stalls too. Fun place for locals I'm sure. They have those bio-toilet stalls provided but there was a huge crowd, you can easily find a Starbucks nearby to be safe.

Personally, I enjoyed Lafayette Square just as much as Jackson Square. It's not as crowded and there are large trees providing shade if you just want to sit for awhile. It's in a area with municipal buildings so it's not a tourist attraction. With all the people going about the business, it's a great place to just sit and observe folks.

A nice, clean park with statues of Benjamin Franklin, Henry Clay, and a public school educator. It is surrounded by court buildings and the federal reserve, and a minute away from Historic St. Patrick’s Church.

We went to the Wednesday Night concert to see Eric Lindell headline the show this week. We have presented Eric two times at events we do in Madison, WI and enjoy his music. I was impressed by the beauty of the Park and how creatively that it is used. Had a terrific slice of Supreme Pizza from The Magazine St. Pizzeria and it was piping hot. Had a bowl of Jambalaya and my wife had a blackened catfish taco. All good. People were friendly, the music great and the St. Charles street car ride home entertaining

Too much fun at the Wednesday free concert series during the spring. Good food booths and artisans as well. Wine beer and mixed drinks available. Looking forward to the upcoming shows. 😀

This is just one of Savannah’s beautiful town squares. The grass is luscious green and well maintained. The landscaping is gorgeous and the benches are well kept. This is probably the most popular square in Savannah because it’s the closest to downtown. There are tons of restaurants and other stores close to Lafayette square. Gorgeous and definitely recommend visiting this one!

Just stollong through and this place is a peaceful spot. The trees are amazing. We don't have trees like these in Kentucky. I just couldn't help but take a few pics. Glad I found this one. :)
