We went only to try the famous Bananas Foster desert, which was invented at this famous NOLA restaurant. It did not disappoint in the slightest. The ingredients, proportions, and flavor have been perfected, and let me tell you, the flavor is absolutely amazing. The flamed desert preparation is also a show and experience unto itself and is every bit worth the visit! Please make reservations ahead of time, otherwise, you are unlikely to get in.

Came back after 8 years just for the banana’s foster we remembered. We stayed for all of the amazingly flavorful dishes: the lobster omelette was to die for, and so were all of our other brunch dishes. Topped off with amazing service from Alfredo, who could lead us with wonderful passion and detail through the menu. This will be place we’ll always remember and come back to whenever we’re in New Orleans.

A++ for atmosphere here at Brennan's! What an awesome looking place. So much detail with hand painted murals everywhere, colorful wall panels and moulding, and really cool lighting. A functioning player piano welcomes you as you enter the main lounge. So cool!

I would recommend this place for ambiance alone but it turns out the service is fantastic and so is the food! This was one of the most fun restaurants we visited in New Orleans and it's definitely worth the trip in my opinion.

Pro Tip: Get seated in the lounge if you want to listen to the player piano. Sit in the main dining room for the really fancy wall art. Both sections are awesome!

Absolutely delightful! Our waiter was hilarious and very attentive. Everything we tried was delicious and flavorful. The food took awhile however we were with a large group so I felt it was a reasonable amount of time overall. Beautiful restaurant on the inside as well.

Reservations highly recommended. They book up fast and the website accepts reservations up to two months in advance. Impeccable service from start to finish. The food was fantastic. I enjoyed the Bloody Bull cocktail, the crawfish quiche, and bananas foster. Our server was very knowledgeable about Brendan's history. This was the best brunch I've ever had. I highly recommend. I would love to come back for dinner, next time I'm in NOLA.

My friend and I indulged in Brennan's famous Bananas Foster. Despite a 45-minute wait for the bar, not due to a crowd but to earlier delays, the staff swiftly accommodated us, understanding our time constraints for catching a flight. The bartender's expertise in crafting the Bananas Foster was matched by their engaging explanation of its history. For a culinary experience that's both delicious and educational, make sure to try Brennan's Bananas Foster when you have the chance.

You definitely need to come here (even if it's just for banana fosters)! The service was great and the food was amazing! They really added the extra touch with having the banana fosters made table side.

Tried to get a reservation, only opening was 9:45pm, ended up doing a walk in, and was seated within 10 minutes in the patio area. Was wonderful to see the turtles in the fountain, and was still able to get a banana foster at 11am on a Sunday. Incredible experience.

We stopped by here earlier in the day but the restaurant was full. The staff however, gave us a great tip which was, if we came back between 2pm - 6pm all they will be serving will be cocktails and Banana’s Foster. This worked perfectly for us, so we headed back around 3.30pm and we had the place to ourselves!
Obviously we ordered the Banana’s Foster (for which they are famous for) and they did not let us down. The dish comes complete with its own cooking presentation and is really delicious!!
So glad that we got to tick this off our list and if it’s just this dish that you’re after then head there between 2 to 6!

Amazing food, service, and vibes. The dining room looks out onto a really nice green courtyard area. The bananas foster is a must-try! Portion sizes are relatively large for a fancy restaurant. Reservations definitely required, and make them at least a couple days early for peak times. Dress code isn’t very limiting but make sure to check it beforehand!

Absolutely had a wonderful time at Brennan's for Easter brunch! The food is incredible (seafood gumbo! sticky pork belly!), the service is spot-on, and the atmosphere is pure New Orleans charm. A delightful way to celebrate a special occasion. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Went here twice and had a good time.
At first, I had the crawfish risotto and my husband had the turtle soup. Excellent choice as it was delicious. Then went back a second night and had the Banana foster.

I think it’s totally amazing that a restaurant as old as Brennans has food that is so timeless and insanely delicious. The space is like a museum that’s still charming. The service is perfect. The story and table service of bananas foster is classic. I can’t say enough about how much this is a must. Reserve so you aren’t disappointed

Classy and classic. We had to get Bananas Foster from the place that created it. The service was superb and our waiter created a personal experience with his own honest recommendations and story telling. We will be back!

We have eaten at Brennan's many times over the years and it never fails to impress. This time we did something a little more low-key. We came in and just sat at the bar and had drinks and ate some small plates.

The experience was amazing as it always it. It was neat to see a bit more of the back end experience and how incredibly hard everyone works to turn out such a flawless affair. If you've never been to Brennan's the brunch is incredible and dinner is incredible but sitting at the bar is an excellent experience unto itself.

Wow!!! Where to begin! From the moment we walked in, just amazing!! We started with Sazarec coctails and ended with bananas foster. One of the best meals of my life! Along the way we had turtle soup, seafood gumbo, oysters, then gulf coast fish almondine & smoked scallops!!! All prepared properly and just amazing!!! Great place to go for a special occasion

Such a classic New Orleans vibe!! Absolutely wonderful experience at Brennen’s Restaurant! Easily a 5-star spot! The service was not only friendly, but impressively quick. The food was delightfully flavorful, and the portion sizes were perfect. The table side flambé added an exciting touch to the meal—truly an amazing experience. Do yourself a favor and order the bananas foster; thank me later! Located in the heart of the French Quarter on Royal St., this restaurant exudes incredible history and charm. Highly recommend for a one of a kind culinary experience! And it’s decorated so lovely for Christmas! 🎄

Was able to secure a reservation during our tiny window of time in Nola. My husband is a homestyle eggs, bacon, home fries kind of guy. They were able to accommodate his request even though it’s not an option on the menu. He liked his choice which came with a generous amount of eggs, crispy bacon, and puffed potatoes. He had a Prosecco with the hot bread that came before the meals.

I’m on a no meat/no dairy diet. I already knew I was ordering the Seafood Gumbo and so glad I did. It was the best gumbo of the trip. I even doublechecked they would have it when the hostess called me to confirm my reservation. It was perfect. The coffee was really good too.

The service was a little slow but they were busy. The atmosphere was lively. The decor was beautifully done in a historic setting that takes you back in time. The room upstairs by the restrooms is a must see as well. Some great photo ops here.

Of course we had to try the Bananas Foster since it was birthed here. Our server prepared it at our table with the story of its origin.

I love the professional staff from the three calls confirming our reservations, to the servers and food runners. Yes we will be back.

Ambience is amazing - every very room is ornately decorated & so different- front room is more quiet and intimate, garden room is bright & lively but noisy, bar area is darker & fun. Food is excellent but smaller portions so big eaters/hungry need a "starter" & dessert. Service is friendly but a bit slow - both food and "requests" (salt/pepper, more butter)

We had such a beautiful breakfast experience at Brennan's. Food was excellent, both my husband and I thought we ordered the better dish, which is how it should be. He had the duck confit hash and I had the hussarde, both were delicious, and we split the pear blintz which was so yummy and not overwhelmingly sweet. The service was lovely, so helpful and accommodating, but not invasive. We loved Jaimie and Jordan who helped us. Can't recommend for breakfast or brunch highly enough!

Only note I have is that the decor is a little outdated/out of style. Nothing wrong, warm, and certainly clean and well maintained, just a little dated.
