Best haircut I've gotten in a long time! Very nice experience every time I go.

I love this place. I always go to Irina. After the first haircut, about three years ago, my wife does not let me go anywhere else. Irina is very busy but she would always accommodate. She works fast and is very professional. I really like what I see in the mirror after I go there. The haircut stays in shape longer. Highly recommended.

Fantastic barbershop, masterful barbers. They consistently do my hair exactly how I want it, and in the couple years that I have been coming here, not once did I leave the barbershop dissatisfied with my cut. Not only that, but their pricing is fantastic. You could get a great haircut for just 25 dollars, not including tip. Highly recommend!!

I don't usually write reviews... Though, when I do it's because the place is freaking awesome.

I had been going to a expensive hair salon out of fear for my hair being butchered. I was happy with my hair dresser at the time, but the price became overbearing. I figured to suck it up, and try to find a barber.

Alton Barber Shop -- I came here after looking up local and reasonably priced barbershops in Brookline that I could easily walk to. Now, after JUST my first visit, I fell in love.

The service is unmatched, the price I literally am happy to pay with no issue. The employees - genuinely kind, all very friendly people.

Then again... In hindsight, his is my first review on *Google*. =P

Seriously, go.

Val and Mike in Alton Barbershops are simply exceptional barbers. After trying numerous barbershops, I finally found my spot. I've been going here for years now. The price is great and the haircut is always perfect.

Even though they do accept walk ins, I would recommend to call in advance as this place is becoming more and more popular these days and you might have to wait for your turn, but even that wait is worth it.

This place is Highly Recommended!

I've tried a few barbershops in Boston, but I settled on Alton as my fav. Mainly, for their friendliness and affordable rates ($25 for a men's cut). I don't go for anything crazy for a cut. If you're very picky, maybe try a few places including this one before you settle. Also, they don't take card so remember to bring cash.

My only barber for 7 straight years .. Used to live close by, but now I travel 30 minutes from Norwood just to see Val and get my cut. Will never go anywhere else.

Val is amazing, super skillful and also very fast, a terrific combination in my opinion!

They fit me in at the last minute. $25 for a pretty great fade(ish) haircut. It was exactly what I wanted!
