Big Bear Cafe & Espresso Bar

I loved the vibe. Soooo much quieter and calmer and friendlier than a Starbucks or Dunkin, even though the place was filled with people coming in and out. Everyone spoke quieter. You could actually work here.

Also, the food options were so creative, and the server got excited with me about experimenting, and we made a peach blossom lemonade, which was divine :-).

I think one mark of a good cafe is how they let their customers enjoy and customize foods and drinks, and this place gets 5 stars!!!

The coffee shop in Dedham was bustling; waited 15 minutes for a table. Despite its small size, the coffee was good. Diverse crowd – students studying, parents with kids, and adults enjoying Sunday morning. The bakery smelled amazing, though I didn't try any. Busy baristas, constant movement. Will return to explore more coffee items and breakfasts.

I usually shop at Legacy Place and was looking for a new coffee shop! Big Bear did not disappoint! Cute street in Dedham to walk around and check out! Free parking lot too! Indoor and Outdoor seating! I had the best iced latte I’ve had in a long time! Nicest barista who took her time making my coffee even though they were close to closing! It’s 5 minutes from Legacy Place!

I went to Big Bear Cafe today for the first time and cannot stop thinking about my toasts. I first got the Yogi- Boo Boo toast which was so refreshing and so amazing!! Then I got the Beary Good toast for a sweater toast and I didn’t even know I liked ricotta but I guess I do! Would recommend to anyone!!

Friendly service and a great selection of beverages and sandwiches. I had the hot matcha and catch of the day sandwich. Highly recommend!

If I lived here I would be a regular customer. Cute local coffee shop serving up tasty coffee and breakfast bites like sourdough toast with honey ricotta and cinnamon, baguette with butter and jam, French toast English muffin with fruit, and wheat toast with almond butter and bananas. Totally hit the spot and was a perfect way to start our day. Yumm

Great little cafe in Dedham with nice cafe food selection and drinks. My favorites are the matcha latte and Bear Bites- an in-house made energy ball that is just perfect for a boost in the morning. Great vibe.

They have great toast and breakfast options! They’re also very cheap and quite big. Good bang for your buck! The coffee was good as well. Our service was pretty quick as well. Quite a small place so we were lucky to snag a table!

Love this place and it deserves all five stars.

Just to give some hopefully helpful feedback:

- I would love to make this spot my "third place" which I would imagine lead to a lot of my business however the internet is so impossibly slow that I unfortunately cannot rely on it being my spot.

-I work from home most day and would love to do most of my work there because it is a perfect neighborhood spot. However, I recently was forced to take my business to Life Alive in Legacy due too the internet being so slow.

Everything that I’ve tried here has been delicious! (Both food and drinks.) And affordable, especially for the quality! The owner, Donna, is a sweetheart. I always stop by when I’m in town.

Quaint cafe with a calm and friendly atmosphere. All of the specials have really cute names and the food is great.

Definitely worth checking out if you’re in the neighborhood.

Extremely pleasant experience, great service, and friendly staff. If I lived in the area, this would be my daily spot and it definitely would not break the bank. There are even toys set out for young visitors. As I was leaving, the kind barrista offered my young niece a bag of Goldfish to take with her.

Really good and unique toasts. Only thing was they gave me the wrong scone lol. Threw most of it out unfortunately but it was a solid scone and they probably would’ve replaced it

Sooooo good! The mocha cappuccino with a kick of cayenne pepper made my taste buds so happy. The açaí bowl that I shared with my sister also very delicious.

Big Bear Cafe is a coffee and culinary haven! Their coffee is exceptional, sandwiches diverse, and bakery heavenly. The friendly staff adds to the charm. Highly recommended!

Cute and cozy with great coffee! Everything is bear themed, too ❤🐻 Also, it was pretty quiet for the most part, a very low-key vibe. Oh, and free parking right across the street. ✌

They carry Rishi teas. Enough said IMHO. My kid wanted me to post a photo of his Cherry ‘home made’ Italian soda. He thought it was exceptional.

Tonight I came into Big Bear just before closing to grab one of their delicious hot matchas, and I ended up staying and talking to the owner, Donna about our lives and other customers we both know. I left probably a good bit after closing with a smile on my face. Big Bear is my comfort place. It’s my go-to for brunch, catching up with friends, doing my homework, or warming up, and whenever someone is visiting from out of town, I always bring them there. Big Bear has an amazing menu (I’ve tried every item on it!), an adorable cozy ambiance fit for catching up with friends or doing work, the service is quick and friendly, and it has a sense of community. So many customers are regulars, and Donna and her staff are quite familiar with many of them. I recommend wholeheartedly. I love this place dearly.

We got here just as they closed but the owner opened up for us and we got our cappuccino! That is great service and deserves your custom!
