Cataloochee Dental Group - Candler

I recently had my first visit at this location. What an excellent experience! Staff was very kind, welcoming, and comforting. My cleaning was performed by Lydia, who was very friendly and did a fantastic job. My exam was then completed by Dr. Godwin, who I could not recommend enough! He was personable, informative, and very thorough. If you are looking for excellent dental care, I highly recommend this location.

First of all i would like to say from the moment I walked in the first time a year ago they put me right at these. I have horrible dentiphobia but the dental hygienist taught to me all the way back to the room and put me right at ease. She told me everything they were going to do that day and had me laughing and my anxiety just melted away. I'm happy to say that nothing hurt. I never gagged and the dentist was more than professional and had great chair side manner. Everything she did she explained and even asked me a few times if I was hurting or needed to take a break. In a day when everything is rush, rush rush. It was nice to be treated as if they were not in a hurry and just wanted to make me feel relaxed and at ease. Cataloochee dental is, in my opinion, the very best of the best providers around. I'm not even worried about my upcoming tooth extraction, nor my root canal. My dentist even outlined a 3-year plan for my dental care. At 63 years old it gives me a wonderful feeling to know I'm in good hands at last. Special thanks to my dentist and all the staff. You guys are the best!!!!

First visit. Absolutely loved the staff! Front office staff was very welcoming, helpful and efficient. Skye (Dental Hygienist) was personable, thorough, and did a great job cleaning my teeth. Dr. Kayla was warm, kind and very pleasant. The entire office was sparkling clean! So glad I was referred to this group!

Skye gave me an excellent cleaning and was friendly, as was Dr. Godwin who came in after it was done. I've been going to Cataloochee Dental in Candler for years and everyone is kind and professional. It's a very new building, clean, bright and welcoming with a superb waiting room. My experiences are always good here.

I don't particularly enjoy going to the dentist but these folks made the experience worth it. The women up front were really helpful with getting me checked in. Skye was super professional and thorough with the cleaning as well as checking in with me throughout the cleaning. Dr. Godwin instilled a sense of confidence in me about his abilities. Felt like I could trust him without feeling like I was being upsold on procedures/dental plans. Would highly recommend!

We are new to the area and were looking for a dental practice that took my insurance and could handle our dental needs in-house. It was quite a search, but now that we found Dr. Westhusing and Cataloochee Dental Group, the search is over! Skye is an EXCELLENT hygienist. She is knowledgeable, thorough and kind. If you have any anxiety about the dentist or negative past experiences, this is place for you! The office staff was friendly and helpful. I also think they are honest and care about their patients. Highly recommend!

As always great friendly service. I had Skye(sp) as my hygienist today, she was awesome and did a great job. Very thorough and no stressed flossing to my gums. I also had the young male dentist and he was also very thorough which is much appreciated. Thanks to all.

Second visit with group. Lydia, my hygienist was wonderful! She was friendly and calm. She knew what she was doing making my experience great. Dr Woods was also friendly and professional. Both answered my questions and took the time to listen. I appreciate both ladies.

Cataloochee dental is amazing they make you comfortable during the procedures and the staff is awesome. I had a really good experience and been to a lot of dentists and they are definitely a diamond in the rough I highly recommend them if you want good service and quality this is the place to go for all your dental needs.

Efficient! I told my hygienist, Sky, that that was probably the best dental cleaning appointment I've had in a while. She worked with me to calm my nerves and was thorough in her cleaning. My appointment was at 2:00. I was out of there by 2:40.

I have had several visits here for cleanings, and fillings and have had nothing but a great experience everytime. Laci and Dr Godwin are a dream team! I'm not a fan of the dentist and they always make me feel at ease. Dr. Godwin always listens and take his time explaining everything. I recommend them to everyone!

I recently had an appointment with Cataloochee Dental Group for a teeth cleaning. In my recent experiences with previous Dental Hygienists with Cataloochee,
I dreaded going because it wasn’t a pleasant experience at all. I actually thought that I was going to drown. The Hygienist kept the water running in my mouth the entire time. It felt like it was a garden hose running in my mouth.
Anyway, Dr.Howell’s Dental Hygienist, Lydia, was very professional and cleaned my teeth the way that I had become accustomed to in the past.
I would highly recommend Dr. Howell and Lydia to anyone who is looking for a “Top Notch” dentist, to give Dr Howell, Lydia and the staff at Cataloochee Dental Group a try.

I had a sharp edge on my tooth which was filled earlier. When I told them that it hurt my tongue, they made a quick appointment and polished it. Thanks to Dr. Westhung and her team!

They were able to take me quickly when I needed to be seen. Everyone was super nice, and very professional! The ladies that worked on me did excellent work. I felt very comfortable there.The new office in Candler is really nice. I would definitely recommend these folks for your dental needs. And the prices are in line and not overly expensive.

Sky & Dr. West are the best I have ever been to! If you are procrastinating about a dentist appointment, you will love this office.
