ABSOLUTELY A BLAST! We were on a bachelorette and happened upon ABA and loved it so much we went back two nights in a row. DJ Ganymede and all the dancers are amazing, they made our weekend and were so sweet to us. 10/10 must go in Asheville for Bachelorette Parties!!!

this was a cozy little spot! we stopped in while they were finishing a live music session. the music was great, the musician was fun and inviting. i got a draft sour or cider — i can’t remember lol we sat and enjoyed the session on some comfy couches. nice little spot to stop by at!

Another splendid spectacular of drag at the Academy. Bruno Diaz one of the most dynamic kings in town sometimes performs there. Very clean. Awesome management. Also like one night a month old school 80s new wave type music. Great for parties of all types. Also on Sunday a yummy brunch can be purchased. Start your Sunday off right!

We went for Drag Brunch and had a great time! The show was excellent! Those queens work their butts off
The food was OK. I would likely not go just for the food, but we went for the show and that was stellar.

As a regular patron at this establishment this evening, I just watched a very, very inebriated bridal party get extremely upset because it was not the event that they had wished for at this venue tonight. The person checking IDs initially started off very accommodating to this drunk party of six people and made sure they were refunded. Their attitude was completely inappropriate and extremely juvenile. At that point, they became verbally abusive with the person checking IDs. Words were exchanged. He then let them know that they were trespassing and to be on their way. They continued to return one by one to yell more ridiculousness at the employees. I was actually impressed that he was able to deescalate the situation due to the fact that a drunk pack of entitled tourists pushed so hard to cause a problem. Hats off to the employees for being treated with such blatant disrespect and disgusting entitlement and still being able to keep their cool.

There is nothing more satisfying than brunch and a show. If you've never been to a drag brunch you are missing out. Fabulous and fierce!!!

Great spot to dance and get your drink on. Small beer selection but hard liquor has a good selection. Great place to see and be seen.

We visited Asheville for my 25th birthday this past week. After dinner, we walked around and stumbled upon the Asheville Beauty Academy. First of all, the bar tenders were fantastic.
It was karaoke night, and after a little encouragement I decided to participate.
Ganymede had the entire place sing Happy Birthday to me & it was so incredibly special. 🤍
I’ve never done karaoke before & Ganymede was the best encourager ever - even singing along with me when I got nervous.
It was quite literally the most inclusive, kind, warm & inviting environment I’ve been in forever & I haven’t stopped talking about it for days.
Ganymede, thank you for bring a highlight of my birthday. I cant wait to visit again!
Asheville Beauty Academy - you got the right stuff.

I was in town for a business trip, and a few colleagues and I wandered over for drinks and Tuesday karaoke. DJ Ganymede was a blast - I haven't had so much fun at karaoke in ages. The specialty cocktail Amethyst was delicious. I definitely would recommend checking Asheville Beauty Academy out. Great drinks & vibes! Thank you for treating us so well!

We stayed in Asheville for a couple nights to go to a concert, we decided we wanted to go to the draw show brunch with our 13 year old daughter that they were hosting. The event runner (Melissa) was beyond nice and helpful even though she was out of town. The staff was amazing and got us seated when they really didn’t even have the room. The brunch was delicious and the show was outstanding! I believe we were the only ones there with a minor, but the staff welcomed us with open arms and were very very nice. Our 13 year old loved the show. I would definitely recommend this business!

Great late night dancing and fun! The bar staff is always fast and friendly.

A wonderful place for chill people to be! Always something fun going on, be it for 80s night on the dance floor, drag bingo, jazz brunch, or comedy night! And as always, tip that wonderful staff!

Beautiful bar, amazing energy. The patrons and performers of this establishment have so much love and devotion, not just to the bar itself but for the owner and employees that work here. 💙

Sunday drag brunch was well worth the price! Great show! Performers were all excellent and fun. Hung out with audience before and photos afterward.
They’ll make change for you there. Remember to tip the performers!!

I love this place.

I prefer upstairs @ Parlor, the decor is charming and it's bigger than downstairs. More room to stretch out.

The crunchwrap is unreasonably good for late night.

While visiting Ashville this venue caught my eyes and my husband and I sat for a Wednesday comedy set. Drinks were great guests and headliner were worth the entry fee! Would definitely recommend if you find yourself in town!

Attended a comedy show with Drew Morgan and DJ Lewis and the venue and staff were great. Looking forward to another visit next time I'm in Asheville.

Asheville Beauty Academy is the absolute best. We hosted our wedding "reception " - dancing and drinks and late night food - at ABA earlier this month and I couldn't have been happier with the outcome. We rented out the upstairs space, which has its own bar and bathroom. I had conversations with the team ahead of time to determine set-up and details and all of it was executed to perfection! One of the best decisions we made was having ABA provide late night food. We went with miniature chicken and waffles, pork meatball sliders, and a truffle mac and cheese bar. I kid you not, I am still dreaming about all three - they were that good. We also arranged to have a couple of specialty cocktails out on the bar when guests arrived. Those were a huge hit. Lastly, my guests couldn't stop talking about how wonderful the ABA staff were throughout the event - they set a great tone for the evening! If you are looking for a unique private event space for an event, with amazing staff and damn good food, look no further than ABA. Plus, it doesn't hurt that they are located right in the middle of town! So convenient. Asheville Beauty Academy is a 10/10!
