Went here for bottomless brunch…absolutely delicious at a price you can’t beat. Service is friendly and quick, while the ambiance is pretty uncrowded and relaxing. I would highly recommend the French Toast, Molettes, and Chicken + Waffles. Plates are small which adds to the fun of unlimited ordering. Makes for a great morning!

This was my first time back here since 2019 and did not disappoint! Love the renovations and menu. Blackberry sage margarita was amazing as was all of the food. Service was very quick. Can’t wait to go back!

Great reno of this neighborhood fave. The food is tasty--fun variations of Mexican traditions. The fish tacos are terrific. The service was friendly and prompt. It can get a bit loud, but so does everywhere these days

Excellent Mexican restaurant in the heart of Washington Square in Brookline. Very cool decor and vibe inside with a beautiful bar and large windows up front letting in lots of natural light. Our server was great - attentive, nice, knowledgeable of the menu and drinks. Our drinks were awesome (got margaritas of course) and the food was truly amazing. Loaded with flavors and decent portions (it is expensive for tacos - upwards of $7 a piece). We found 3 tacos each and an app to be plenty of food for us. Overall a really great spot and one I’ll be back to again soon, I’m sure!

We met up with some friends and each had the Saturday brunch. We are not leaving Burro Bar hungry. There were a wide range of options to choose from. My images will show each dish. I can highly recommend Burro Bar if you want tasty Spanish food.

Burro bar is excellent for both bottomless brunch, and a tasty dinner. I have been multiple times and every experience is wonderful! The food is amazing, the drinks are perfect, and everyone who works there is just so pleasant. They are also great at accommodating large groups!

On a nice day, it’s a great outing. They have outdoor seating and friendly staff. I wouldn’t say service is he beat f you’re trying to go in for a quick meal, they give you your space and check in every now and then but it’s a great place to have a ladies it or even date night. The tacos, oh man the tacos!

They have many types of tacos and options for everyone. They are SO GOOD. Oh and try the Mexican corn, it’s not in the cob but seasoned to perfection. Yum, makes me hungry just thinking about it .

En route to dinner at Barcelona I was informed about Burro Bar being this new place across the street. We went on whim and it did not disappoint. From the moment I walked in, the décor is conspicuously funky. The vibrant art on the emerald walls with splash of gold really add to the cozy atmosphere. We got there right before six to just a few other tables being occupied. However the place quickly filled up afterwards with people standing at the bar waiting and enjoying cocktails.

We started the evening off with some cocktails; my friend had the Cucumber margarita and I had the Palomero. The Palomero was refined in taste with its citrus flare. Also the Cucumber margarita was very nice because it wasn't sweet, which in our opinions ruins a Cucumber margarita. We each had second rounds because they were great.

Knowing we were in for tacos, we had to start of with guacamole as a classic item. However far from classic were the roasted grape tomatoes and the pork belly topping. The guacamole on its own was great and packed with flavor. Alongside the chips they provided, we liked their salsa as well since it had nice kick but not overwhelmingly spicy.

We continued to get the Snapper + Scallop Ceviche and the Chorizo + Roasted Apple Queso Fundido. These two items were so delicious! The apples and candied walnuts really enhanced the chorizo in the queso fundido. The ceviche fish was fresh accompanied with the citrus flavors you'd expect but with added texture of grapes and tostones.

After that we didn't need the tacos, but indulged and ordered one each. My friend had the Blackened Grouper and I had the Crispy "Baja Style" Fish. I live for fish tacos and this was one to love. The fish had a lovely crisp yet was light. What makes this Baja Fish taco however was the cabbage and jalepeño slaw which was tasty.

The service was great as well, everyone was attentive. Our waitress was well versed in their options. We even saw the chef making rounds around other tables. Definitely looking forward to going back.

I went for brunch. Definitely go during this time. For $25 a person you get all you can eat tapas. The food came out so quick and was so good!

We were invited to dinner for the soft opening on Saturday, Jan 28th.

The space is lively, but still intimate with candles on each table. Eclectic and colorful, the green walls are decorated with mirrors and cool art. The music is loud enough to enjoy, but doesn’t drown out your words when talking to your party.

The waitress who seated us encouraged us to be adventurous and try things on the menu we wouldn’t typically order. So we ended up getting a bunch of things- Scallop Ceviche, Grouper Con Coconut, Squash + Cauliflower Queso Fundido, and 4 tacos: Beef Tongue, Chicken Liver, Shrimp Diablo, and Crispy Baja Style Fish.

I highly recommend the Grouper con Coconut. The coconut mole had a rich, creamy flavor that reminded me of Thai curry, and paired with the grouper it was simply heavenly. The squash and cauliflower queso was another favorite of ours. The pureed squash, roasted cauliflower topped with melted cheese was unlike anything I've ever had.

And if you’re looking for something on the spicier side, I recommend the baja fish taco or the chicken liver taco. My friend especially enjoyed the beef tongue taco - it’s definitely more on the adventurous side, but worth the try. It melts in your mouth and is accompanied by a nice hazelnut-y crunch.

I’m not a fan of vodka, but I took a chance and ordered The Point (loved it!). It’s a fig flavored vodka cocktail with a hint of honey. I also got the Palomero, a grapefruit flavored tequila base cocktail which I enjoyed as well.

We also had our eyes on the Shrimp al ajillo and the Roasted Beets Bocaditos but were so full after the tacos, that we decided to leave it for the next time we come to Burro Bar!

This place has it all: great gluten free options, outstanding service, excellent food and a smart sophisticated choice of beers. The entrees I had were exceptional and the flavors represented in them were complex and overwhelming. I highly recommend this joint if you want some great Mexican food.

What a lively spot! Awesome ambiance and busy enough but not crowded on a Wednesday evening. Sat at the bar and had a phenomenal Guava Peach marg. Pork enchiladas were super tasty as well. Not too heavy and the mole sauce was to die for. Seriously order this if you come here! Oh and Alejandro the bartender looks after you so well. Can’t say enough about this place— I’ll be back that’s for sure!!

Delicious food! Dinner is a little bit pricier, but you can always get single tacos for about 7 dollars each. The brunch is delicious and the portions are large. They have a huge tequila list. You can even order flights of tequila. This place can get crowded, so I recommend a reservation. Their margaritas are excellent and also have great local craft beer options. This restaurant is a neighborhood favorite of mine.

We went for the bottomless brunch. What a deal! The food was phenomenal. Brussels, cauliflower and kale were nice starters. Tacos were great- shrimp, fish and carnitas were the standouts. The bar was great too. We had a few signature cocktails, which were solid. Then a few classics. They were spot on. Definitely recommend giving them a try. We'll be back!

A busy spot for a contemporary Tex-Mex faire. Good cocktails and apps, extensive taco selection, fantastic service. It can get loud and crowded since this is a popular place, so I would recommend making an easy online reservation.
