The ice cream is just so good! It tastes exactly like the flavor names; especially the blueberry pancake monthly flavor.

One of the best ice cream shops I’ve been to. Their ice cream is incredibly rich and they have a ton of super offerings. It’s also in a really nice part of Newton so you can get your ice cream and it outside on the green.

I had the salted caramel cookies and cream with the oreo cake batter flavor with just some mini m&ms and unlike most ice cream shops... these ice creams are so delicious on their own they don't really need toppings. They are like a meal on their own. If you love anything oreo this is the place for you as they have a variety of versions of it. Very fast service and benches outside and across the street in the parking lot to eat.

Great local ice cream with large servings. Very kid friendly and they have smaller sizes that anyone can order if you just need to fill that ice-cream fix. Their Dairy Free Sorbets have been great for the vegan crowd.

This is def a town favorite! I always see people outside the main store or just relaxing inside, they have an array of options and custome combos that you can ask for, they even offer stuff to buy to own merch

Best ice cream in Newton, by far. For those trying to find dairy and soy-free ice creams that are decent and tasty, this is the place.

Make sure to check the flavors of the month and go early in the month. These flavors tend to be the dairy-, soy-free options that can often be tasty. They run out fast.

Great place for a night out with ice cream!

They definitely overwork their employees so much. I’ve been around there after closing and the employees look so tired and worked to the bone. People complain about no frappes after 10:55pm but one shouldn’t digest dairy at that hour anyway. This JP Licks is keeping people safe and healthy!!! Also why would you order pints of ice cream at an ice cream shop that you could literally by for way less money at a grocery store? Idk. Hot take.

JP licks is a Boston establishment. Always homemade, great quality, not full of air like some cheaper brands. They are fair trade, roast their own coffee, and the flavors of ice cream are changing monthly. They also have a huge selection of yogurt, sugar free, and dairy free options.

This location is small inside, only 5 or 6 seats to sit. That's the only drawback.

Flavors are always really good. If you’re there this summer, try the Cinnamon Toast Crunch flavor. Their cereal flavors are always amazing.

It's a little pricey as far as ice cream goes - but not anything too crazy considering that this is Boston and prices are, in general, pretty inflated for these kinds of treats.

Coffee-Oreo never tasted so good. Jp licks is a must for Boston visitors. The line can be daunting but often moves quickly. Don't come here for a bargain, but the ice cream is worth every cent.
