Overall a nice green space! A old rubble type stage as the focal point, thing has to to be 100+ years old id guess.set up like a natural amphitheater relative to the stage, lots of access to the lake shore from within the park.i find Leif Erikson Park to be very nice, inviting, relaxing and a good feeling green space that all should check out !

This was a fabulous place to visit! It is a rose garden, but there were only a few roses in bloom when we visited. There were, however, many, many other beautiful flowers in full bloom. The park and flower gardens are well cared for and maintained. It's a garden straight out of a fairy tale. If I lived close, I would come walk this park every day!

My favorite view of Duluth! This is a gorgeous park that is nice to walk and enjoy. I lived seeing the flowers in the rose garden as well as walking the lower section of the park, where you can go all the way to the rocky shoreline of the lake.

Beautiful area all year round from movie in the park during the summertime to Sledding down the hill during the winter. It's a great place for people of all ages and the paved bike trail passes right through it.

Beautiful rose garden with both city and great lake views, free parking, and attached to the 1.7 mile paved/boardwalk all the way to the pier & canal park. Plenty to see, eat or shop along the way, even a small sandy beach & art/ monuments/ anchors along the path. Park is very well-kept and has many wandering paths.

A very beautiful view of the Duluth shoreline and plenty of rose bushes to take pictures with. I wish they had maintained the structures a little better. Nonetheless, it's a good place for a sit-down picnic.

It was very cold and windy and due to the time of year there were obviously no flowers blooming. Great view and history!

Really enjoyed this park on Lake Superior. There are a lot of trails running through here and along the lakeside. The stage and amphitheater structures are interesting, as is the bridge into the park. Didn’t get to see the attached rose garden but was definitely interested. Live music would be awesome here, but we visited in fall, so no outdoor events. Still a lot of people outside using the grounds and the Lakewalk. Would recommend

Highly recommended Duluth, MN park. We were about 2 weeks too early for a late bloom of roses and other flowers. The lilacs were wonderful smells and sights.

Beautiful gardens, views, and spot in general. One of the many gorgeous parks in the city, possibly with the best views of downtown and the lake. It's even gorgeous in the winter! If you don't mind the cold...if it drops to cold enough temps. Go check out the Lakeshore and the shattered ice!

Wonderful place to take a stroll to enjoy the rose garden and the shore of Lake Superior. Lovely and well maintained pathways that meander amount the trees, formal and informal garden plantings. Plan on spending a few hours and pack a lunch for that nice afternoon picnic.

Leif Erikson Park and Rose Garden around Lake Superior are two best places that you can visit for free. Rose garden has good collection of flowers. There is a nice walk up to the lake area and you can enjoy the lake superior views. Beautiful places for photography. You can see a nice rail track going along the park.

I go here every Saturday evening. You can go on to the rocky bank of Lake Superior and feel the breeze hitting your face. It feels so refreshing. A very calm and peaceful place to spend evenings with your family, friends if you decided to embrace nature. The sunsets are the best. You can get a great view of the Ariel Lift Bridge and the Duluth City Skyline!

Family on Our Traditional Playground! Beautiful to still see the next Generation playing where our Ancestors have played for 40 Thousand plus years!! Land Back is the Reality, without a baseless doctrine of discovery from a book of fantasy fiction. Just saying...

We'd been walking in the park a little bit the night before but the tiny flying insects were too much, so we left and returned the next morning. The weather was beautiful and the park was too. We saw a lovely statue of an angel, a wedding party heading down to the water for photos and several groups with kids having a great time playing on the big stone stage.

Awesome. Beautiful day; gorgeous flowers; a couple of lovely weddings happening; just the right amount of folks walking, biking, dapping stones. A very pleasant, happy ambulatory excursion on this spectacular perfectly cool and breezy August day!

Another gem in Duluth. Leif Erikson Park! How cool is that!!! Beautiful rose gardens, access to biking, walking lake trail. Beautiful lake views, train passing by, ships coming and going, beach access, clean bathrooms, free parking and admittance. Duluth, you have it good.

Quick stopped here and ended up walking the lake walk from here all the way to Canal Park (about 1 mile).

As you can see from the many pics posted here, the flowers and fragrances were magnificent. Additional benefits include benches (sun or shade…your choice) and easy access to the Lakewalk.

The roses are not blooming yet but all the magnolia trees are, the tulips and hyacinths too. Nice area, there's that area where you can watch and enjoy the lake too. With beautiful trees by it
