Holiday Inn & Suites Duluth-Downtown, an IHG Hotel

Great location for what we needed for the weekend. Front desk was very friendly when we checked in. Easy to get around the hotel for being as large as it is. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Good security measures in place for guests and decent amount of parking in the ramp. Enjoyed our stay here and would definitely stay here again.

The wonderful thing is that you can walk up to the canal just inside tunnel. Like :10 min. Once you're at the "food court" area look for Subway and follow that path with signs to the canal.

I was in Duluth for an emergency surgery my daughter needed. I was exhausted, in tears and not ok when I came to check in. They were all so friendly and helpful. It’s nice to not have to stress about your hotel when you’re going through a family emergency

Stayed at the Holiday Inn due to its proximity to Bentleyville and the stay definitely didn’t disappoint!! It’s a little dated but very well taken care of overall. Bed was probably the best hotel bed I’ve ever slept in, super comfortable. View from the room was fantastic on the 16th floor. I will definitely stay here again!

After reading other reviews, my expectations were low. I was pleasantly surprised how nice this place was. Friendly staff, clean room, comfortable bed. I even ordered breakfast from the restaurant downstairs and that experience was just as good. I have nothing bad to say about this place.

This is one of the best hotels I come every year for the adolescence, children's mental health national conference to the front desk to the Security and the ppl who drive the van , the ambience I love it here I will not stay no other I've been here every year so if you're looking for somewhere to stay in Duluth, you need to pick this hotel

I really liked the location of the hotel. It was an easy walk to Canal Park. The beds in our room were so comfortable. I loved having so many pillows. I got room service from the restaurant Lyric. There were many breakfast items, same with lunch. The food is phenomenal!!

My recent stay at the Holiday Inn Express in Duluth was notable for its warm and welcoming staff. Every encounter, whether in the hallways or elevators, was met with a friendly greeting. Though I was initially disappointed to find the business center out of service, the front desk staff came to the rescue and promptly printed out the materials we needed for our conference.

While the hotel doesn't offer complimentary breakfast, there's an excellent restaurant on the first floor - Lyric Kitchen and Bar. Their food is a delightful way to start the day. Plus, free coffee and tea are available in the lobby for those early risers or afternoon pick-me-ups.

The unique addition of pools on both the third and eighth floors offers multiple spots for relaxation. And for those little things one tends to forget or spontaneous snack cravings, the on-site convenience store is a lifesaver.

All in all, a comfortable and friendly stay. I'd recommend it to both business and leisure travelers alike.

Lyrics restaurant took forever to get drinks at first ,it was a 2 hour ordeal. We had reservations at 7:30 pm it's the new restaurant experience, so be prepared. But the food was good.

Rooms up to date, beds and pillows comfortable...I like that they sent a txt to check how the room was and if we needed anything shortly after checkin...nice touch.

Nice hotel, great view of the city from 16th floor. Easy walking location for coffee shops, restaurants. Elevator opens into lounge and bar on lower floor. Easy access to parking garage. Would definitely stay here again.

Parking is located on the backside of the block, with a convenient 15 minute parking section for check-in and unloading located just past the lobby doors. After check in when I move the car, there was ample parking in the ramp. Hotel room includes free parking, an entry for check-in bring your parking slip to the desk and they will change it out so you are not charged.
Hotel Check-in was fast and very easy. In reservation comments, I requested a In reservation comments, I requested an upper level room an upper level room. Room number was 927. Rooms in the area overlook the pool but this room is just down the hall. It has an odd window into the hallway (see photos), but has privacy blinds so it is OK. The room itself has a nice size living room area. Spacious bedroom. Mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker. Appears to be very clean and smells fresh. Rooms include free Wi-Fi.
Morgan texted after I checked in to be sure the room was acceptable. Truly excellent customer service.
Location is easy, walking distance to walking trails, shopping, bars and restaurants. Lyric, the hotel restaurant was excellent.

I was surprised how much I liked this hotel! I thought it might be loud, being downtown, or too busy, or small rooms... But none of that was true! The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, the location was great, the views from the lakeside rooms were really cool (we watched a ship come in and the bridge go down)! We liked the pool and the hot tub, and the pool area was nice! The room was clean and mostly well-stocked, and the one thing we needed we were able to get very quickly and easily. The room was spacious and comfortable. Parking was free and covered and seemed very safe. Check in and check out were simple and we were able to get in and out easily. We were a short drive from Canal Park and from almost everything else!

Was a good time A nice hotel definitely could keep the hot tub warmer then lake Superior rooms were pretty good nice and clean and tidy definitely stay there again

We only stayed one night and got to town late but located in downtown this was a pretty good location for us. It was very quiet surprisingly. Very nice staff. Free parking in their parking garages. There’s a restaurant on level 2 that was pretty good with nice employees as well. Dove is the brand of soap, shampoo and conditioner in the rooms. Would recommend this location if you’re in the area.

Met and welcomed by a great staff. Clean and comfortable room. The downtown location was ideal for our conference. And later we walked to canal park for a drink. I had an excellent stay at the Duluth Holiday Inn.

Nice place, the staff was super friendly and helpful. The rooms were good and the attached bar/restaurant seemed nice. Breakfast really hit the spot after a night of drinks.

Great comfortable stay, awesome staff and management! Definitely would recommend staying here to anyone visiting Duluth!
