We spent two nights and overall the hotel was great! I enjoyed the room design, for us it worked better for storage than the conventional room layout. Everything was clean, and for hotel beds they were pretty comfortable. My only complaint was that the pool was very cold, we never stayed in it long because our son’s teeth would start to chatter. There is also no hot tub, which I wouldn’t mind if the water temp was warmer.

Great hotel for our our family. Impeccable rooms, bathrooms, facilities. The pool is smaller but warm. The free breakfast has a lot of options. The location is central to everything. The staff Bryan, Ellie, Thalia were very helpful and kind while we stayed. We will definitely be back.

Super clean, fun decor, exceptionally nice staff and a nice breakfast is included with your stay. We were very comfortable here. Only suggestion I have is getting better signage — it was really difficult to see where to turn in off of main road. (Also Google Maps told us to turn the wrong way, putting us at the pawn shop!)

The hotel is very clean! Staff not so friendly, pool maintenance guy SUPER FRIENDLY!!! I think his name is Byran! Explained his pool care techniques, in which really benefit one of my kids specifically who struggles with chlorine reactions. Super nice guy, enjoys seeing kids having fun! I appreciate people like that! Thanks Bryan!

I can say hands down this is the nicest hotel I've ever stayed at. And it also happens to be the second cheapest as well. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are the perfect size and very nice. This was my second time staying at this location and will definitely stay here again

Clean, modern design, pool, gym, breakfast was great, staff was helpful and friendly. Last minute-middle of the night needed a room cause me mum was in the hospital nearby type of situation. Price was decent. Room had a huge tv. Nice shower. Convenient location. I enjoyed my stay...

Tru by Hilton was not only welcoming but the accommodations were top tier for the price point, not only was the staff helpful but extremely informational as well (shoutout to Bryan) also if you are worried about the pool smelling like chlorine don’t even worry it’s a saltwater pool!!!! How cool is that?!?! Anyways would definitely stay here again and the price point is very good for the comfort and stay you receive. Thanks again Bryan!!

Three nights here. Not happy with young lady at time of check in on Sunday. Monday morning, Jason, the overnight person, fixed it and made for a very pleasant stay. Would definitely stay here on my return to Duluth.

Very modern hotel, not located in the downtown area but on a street with lots of food options. Cleanliness is something they need to take care of, there were a couple of things that could be improved there. Rooms were spacious and modern. Breakfast was slightly above average.

Absolutely loved this hotel and it is so pet friendly! The staff was EXTREMELYYY kind and accommodating. My dog's food needs to be kept frozen and the front desk was able to keep it in the back for us. I wish I knew the names of the front desk ladies because they were THE BEST! The rooms were clean (especially the bathrooms). Thanks for a great stay!

Alec the Assistant GM was beyond amazing. He greeted us with a big genuine smile. He loves his job and it shows. If he doesn't love it you would never know it. Alec just made me feel like Every guest should feel. Welcomed, important and happy that we chose to stay in this Hotel.
A great 😃 hotel stay starts with a friendly face at the front desk and someone who from the start makes you realize you picked the right place to stay!! Thank Alec Bustrom...you are the reason I will return. Thank you Hilton for hiring such an amazing young man!!

Great location and great service by staff. Been to other Tru hotel and this is by far one of the better one's.

They had nice clean facilities and ample parking spaces as well. Kids loved the set of board games they had.
Suggestion for future.. please provide step stool for younger ones as the wash sink is very tall and please make sure to refill the soaps.. ours where almost out !!

TLDR: definitely worth considering and good value for money.

I needed a clean bed for one night in Duluth and everything downtown seemed like a poor value proposition. Then just a few blocks away I came across this Hilton brand that I'd never heard of. Photos looked good and I figured a Hilton brand hotel can't be bad so I gave it a shot. The rack rate for my midweek one night stay was about $200.

The desk staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and well appointed enough for the clear intent of this line. Everything is bare bones but you won't be lacking anything. Someone brilliant at Hilton HQ dreamt up the Tru brand. Everything about the hotel is designed to be efficient and low cost to operate. The rooms all have laminate flooring and large shampoo bottles instead of the tiny ones people take home. It's all clearly designed to be quick to turnover and be low maintenance.

The only minor complaint I had was the in room dorm fridge and A/C were both too loud to sleep through. I had to turn them both down and luckily the room was still comfortable. The bedding was very acceptable and pleasant although nothing memorable.

The main lobby area definitely makes me feel like I'm back in a college dorm. It has a euro hostel vibe with large communal seating areas that Americans are unlikely to utilize as intended.

There's a billiards table and furniture that wouldn't be out of place in an IKEA showroom. Interestingly the front desk also serves as a 24 hour snack bar with drinks and snacks (think chips, candy, etc). There's always on complementary coffee and tea nearby.

The complementary breakfast is adequate although nothing to be overly impressed by. It's the quality and selection to be expected at this rate. The options I saw available were: juice machine and 2% milk. Food options include: cold breakfast cereal, instant oatmeal, a pancake machine, sausage and cheese omelettes, and some bread choices. As I said, it's good for what it is and best of all: complementary.

If you are looking for a good value short term stay in the area this is a good option. It has a more youthful trendy college vibe for sure but that's fine.

We loved the lobby area. Our family enjoyed the pool table and games. We were stuck here during one of Duluth's epic snow storms in March. It was nice that there was stuff to do in the lobby.
This was our first time staying at a hotel without carpet in the rooms. I understand why a hotel would prefer no carpet. I will admit it the floor was cold when I got up in the middle of the night. I wish I had brought slippers.
This is a new hotel, I loved the modern vibe. We did find that the beds were on the very firm side.

Awesome hotel! Very clean hotel with lots of updated, fun features. We were greeted by friendly faces at the front desk upon arrival. Front lobby area has many seating areas and a nice “store” area with snacks and drinks available for purchase. Our favorite aspect was the pool table which we played on for quite a few hours the night of our stay. Breakfast was very good the next morning.

Amenities all around. Great and very helpful staff. Rooms are in great condition. However, the TV broke in the middle of watching it
