Wellesley Endodontics: Dr. Maryam Shomali DMD

Dr. Shomali was able to see me very quickly in an emergency, for which I was so grateful. As it turned out she could not do a root canal, but worked hard to get me an appointment with periodontics to have the tooth extracted quickly. Dr Shomali was extremely kind, explained every step clearly, and was an Amazing Help. I recommend her Very Highly. I am lucky to have found her!

I had a dental emergency on a weekend and was in unimaginable pain and was referred to Dr Shomali. She is my hero. She came in on a Saturday at short notice and took very good care of my tooth and of me. She is super experienced, super professional, and a really good human being. I came back to her office the following week to finish the procedure during regular business hours and was impressed all over again by both Dr Shomali and her quality staff. Definitely trust her with your endontic needs, you will be in good hands.

Dr. Shomali is the best of the best. She is brilliant, supportive, and incredibly skilled at her highly specialized work. I recently arrived at the office experiencing the greatest pain of my life (true story - I hadn’t slept a wink the night prior!). Dr. Shomali quickly identified my needs and sprang in to action. I will be eternally grateful for the “let’s go!” response of the entire team and the immense relief I experienced in very short time. I have never needed a medical professional so urgently. What a treasure it is that Dr. Shomali is just a phone call away.

I saw Dr. Shomali for a root canal today. She came highly recommended from my regular dentist. I am overall a very anxious person when it comes to dentistry so I was pretty nervous going in. I felt nothing at all throughout the whole procedure and Dr. Shomali walked me through each step she was performing. Dr. Shomali and her staff are wonderful at what they do!

Dr. Shomali was the absolute kindest and most gentle dentist I’ve ever encountered. She also went above and beyond to call me (even after hours) to ensure we connected and I knew the plan and what to expect. I would 100% recommend her to anyone!

Dr. Shomali is one of the best dentists I've ever seen. She is a very responsible doctor, calling me even before my visit during the weekend as I had an emergency. She worked really fast and that was really amazing. My tooth afterwards didn't have any problems. I definitely recommend her to anyone needing endo treatment.
The last but not least, her staff are super responsive, polite, and knowledgeable.

Dr. Shomali did a fantastic job on my root canal. She was able to complete the procedure well under the anticipated 90 minutes and made sure I was comfortable throughout. The morning of my procedure Dr. Shomali ended up having an emergency patient come in and her office was kind enough to call me to let me know that I should come in 15 minutes later than originally scheduled. I really appreciate the respect for my time. Dr. Shomali and her team set the standard for how Dental / Health Care offices should treat their patients.

Dr. Shomali provides a great service. I’ve had two procedures done through her and for both I’ve felt no pain, and found her to be extremely efficient and communicative. I highly recommend her for all your endodontic needs.

I just had a root canal done by Dr. Gamboa Ruiz. I was very pleased with the work, her and her team. She took her time was very meticulous and thorough. She explained every step of the way and was very aware of the patient’s comfort. I highly recommend that office for any dental procedure. They’re are a bunch of pleasant people. if you have to do some thing like that that’s the place to go.

From the first time I met Dr. Shomali to the follow up phone call from Debbie the day after my root canal I have been impressed with the care and compassion shown. While the actual root canal procedure was not fun, Dr. Shomali made it clear that she was concerned about my comfort. Dr. Shomali explained everything she was doing which greatly reduced my stress level. After the procedure was completely, I was feeling confident that I made the right choice in selecting Dr. Shomali for my root canal. Two days later I have no pain or discomfort.
The bottom line is if you want the best Endodontist, go see Dr. Shomali. And as an added bonus, I never had to wait to see her, she was always on time.

Dr. Maryam was extremely responsive to my dental emergency and coordinated effectively with my dentist. She is very skilled and takes time to keep you informed about what she is doing, which helped me manage expectations and anxiety related to an emergency procedure. Her personality is also excellent; very reassuring and calm. I recommend her highly.

My dentist goes to Dr. Shomali, convincing me that she was the person to see for my root canal, and he was right. She was kind and worked efficiently. I had almost no pain during the procedure and no pain to speak of the next day, either. My face didn't swell, either, so I was back to my normal routine right away.

I referred my father, a dentist, to Dr Shomali. She did such a great job, he didn’t feel a thing and we were able to save his tooth! 😊

I have had two root canals with Dr. Shalumi and both were extremely uncomfortable. I tried to stop in the middle of the first one, saying that I would rather lose the tooth than continue. Dr. Shalumi said she was nearly done. In the event I lost the tooth anyway.
Last week I had to have another root canal and this was even worse. She had to give me more Novocain several times during the procedure, and it was running down the back of my throat. I was coughing and choking. In the end, and it was only a partial root canal, she told me I would need to lose the tooth. Her parting words to me were:
“You’re lucky you still have so many teeth left, my mother has none “
