I honestly cannot say enough positive things about this place. As soon as you walk in, you just fill the wonderful energy. The front desk staff Dawn was super friendly and just a beautiful, smiling face when you enter loved all the decor, the vibes of the dentist office, but especially from the staff, my hygienist was wonderful we actually had a lot in common and absolutely love the dentist, and all of her recommendations ….. I absolutely cannot forget to mention the heated massage chair that you sit on during your appointment and the cozy blanket that kept me warm. I’m always so cold at dentist office a true spa experience

Dr. Lindsey made observations not only about my 4yr old son’s dental health but also his airway health, answering questions that I had been asking our previous dentist without answers for 2 years! Her knowledge and holistic view of not only the teeth, but mouth and airway function is impressive. Hands down best dentist I’ve been to in the area. She and her staff are great with kids and make them feel comfortable and confident. Highly recommend.

Seriously the best dentist experience I’ve ever had. Everyone from the moment I walked through the door until I left was so kind and personable; it’s obvious they all love their jobs and each other. They were so thorough and gave so much insight and take away information, even checking my neck and throat for concerns. Dr. Thorn was kind and warm and she and her dental assistant were a wealth of information. They have a number of comfort offerings such as aromatherapy or a weighted blanket to ensure you’re perfectly at ease. There was even a television on the ceiling that played episodes of Bob Ross. I left ready for a nap! They are also so conscious of preferences to stay as chemical free as possible and have a more holistic approach. I highly highly recommend!

I am absolutely amazed by the time they take with a new patient. They listened to everything I had to say about my fears, my concerns, and both my dental and medical health. From the moment I walked in until the moment I left, I felt welcomed and cared for. They made me feel like I was the only patient in the building and everyone from the front desk to the hygienist to Dr. Thorn herself treated me with kindness and respect. They made me feel like they wanted to be my friend while also being professional and knowledgeable about dentistry.

I love going to the dentist, and I never thought I'd say that! Everyone who works there is extremely welcoming and friendly. Dr. Thorn is the best! She's very thorough and knows what she's talking about. I highly recommend! You won't want to skip going to the dentist ever again.

We had an amazing dental experience today with my 5 year old at LAT Dentistry. Dr. Lindsay and her team were so kind and caring and made her feel so calm and relaxed. She watched her favorite show under a warm cozy blanket during her procedure. She was not afraid at all, and actually enjoyed her visit! Dr. Lindsay even called this evening to check on how she was doing. After having not so great dental experiences with pediatric and other dentists, LAT is by far the best dentist we have ever been too. I have two other little ones with sensory issues that I know will do great with Dr. Lindsay because of the way her and her staff take care of their patients. The office is beautiful, clean, and calming! If you are looking for a new dentist, look no further!

Wonderful experience with kind and gracious dentist and staff. My overall impression is that this dental practice is concerned about my well-being from my comfort to total health. Holy cannoli were we blown away by the level of care and attention to detail at LAT. I brought both of my kiddos for normal checks/cleanings and was so impressed. We started with a thorough history taking where I was asked the obvious questions, but also asked my goals for care, as well as my preferred method of communication- do I like things more straight to the point, or do I prefer more in-depth explanations? 🤯 so thoughtful to ask what WE want in care communication!
Team LAT took the time to show my kids (especially my two-year-old who had been really young at his last cleaning) all the tools they’d use, and even let them play with some of them to help them be more comfortable.
And of course the most important part, Dr. Thorn explained all of her recommendations in great detail so I truly understood what she was finding with my kids and what the big picture meant.

Super impressed with LAT and am so glad to have such a thoughtful and knowledgeable care provider here!

My entire experience with LAT Dentistry has been positive. Everyone from the moment you walk in the door is helpful, kind, and non-judgmental. Instead of focusing on what you're doing wrong or what you have not been doing, there is an emphasis on how you CAN meet your dental goals. This positive approach has changed how I look at dental hygiene.

After my first consultation, I had to return for a deep cleaning, and for the first time in my life, I was not dreading going to the dentist. Lyndsey, my hygienist, is incredibly compassionate and made me feel comfortable. She explained everything she was doing and also gave me detailed instructions on what I can be doing at home. For once, I feel like achieving my dream smile is possible and instead of feeling embarrassed, I am excited.

If you have dental anxiety, this is the place for you. The cozy blankets and massaging chairs help too. :)

She is thorough and cares not only about your teeth and gums... she cares about your overall health. The staff from the receptionist/scheduler to the hygienists and assistants...they all were so nice and friendly.

Dr. Thorn gives thorough exams and explains things in great detail. Great bedside manner. The office is designed to be calming. This was a different experience at the dentist, very positive.

My first procedure with LAT Dentistry was a tooth extraction, just three days ago. I have a few more scheduled in the new year.

I didn’t feel any pain. No pain at all. WHAT?? So much care and attention was put into numbing my mouth so completely that all I felt was pressure. I’ll stop the details there, but y’all, FOR REAL?? Three days afterward, paying close attention to their instructions, everything has been an absolute breeze. Yeah, I had all the usual post-op stuff, but when comparing this visit with all the other visits I’ve had in my life???

Dr. Thorn is incredible, her team is incredible; the experience thus far has been smooth and worry-free. I couldn’t ask for a better dentist, I’m so glad I found Dr. Thorn - Lord knows my poor mouth needs all the help and expertise it can get (sorry, mouth, I suck…).

I've only had 1 other dentist I actually ever look forward to seeing (they retired and were in a different state) and so when I moved into the area I knew it wasn't going to be easy finding a practice that would equal that experience. I recently came across Dr. Lindsay and her practice because I had started seeing a big name provider (think locations in Blacksburg and Christiansburg) but after they cancelled on me 3 times - plus that other practice felt like a cattle drive - you go in, there's tons of patients, you're a number, you sit, the team changes all the time and the dentists there would be what my daughter calls "sketchy").

LAT Dentistry is a breath of fresh air. Professional. Prompt. Relaxing environment. And a team that is both caring and competent. What else could you ask for? Digital x-rays that minimize exposure to radiation? You got it, they use digital x-rays. Waterfalls on the wall to help you relax? You got it.
