After watching a documentary on Shackelton's expedition to Antarctic we were curious about his Scotch. We were so surprised to find it here at Smith Liquor! Great selection. Always friendly staff. One of the very best liquor stores in Rapid City. Great wine selection, wall of whisky is impressive, ingredients for about any kind of cocktail you can imagine. Not many liquor stores around here carry both green AND yellow chartreuse, but Smith does.

This liquor store is one of the most well organized shops I've ever been in. They've got a large selection of goods ranging from your favorite rums, to a brandy you've never heard of. The spirits are ordered by type on the shelves and it's very easy to find something you'll like. Staff seems to be very knowledgeable as well and can help you find exactly what you're looking for. 5/5 don't drink and drive.

Stopped for a second time, recently. There is an additional walk-in beer cooler in the back that I previously missed (and I think many people could, unless directed) -- stocked with craft goodies. Some unique offerings sold by the bottle or can. Again, staff very helpful.

Excellent selection and very knowledgeable staff! If there is something you are looking for that's hard to find, this is the place to go.. Not to mention good prices. They also have a growler station and a very respectable humidor.

One of my favorite liqour stores, excellent wine beer and liqour selections. They also have a small selection of local cheeses. I also believe they have a small humidor and some cigar selections. They always seem to have exciting new craft beer selections and standard pricing. They are not the cheapest but they are pretty reasonable. Worth a visit for sure

They had one of my favorite beers, Dragon's Milk-not easy to find.

Wonderful locally-owned store with excellent selection. They will take special orders, offer discounts depending on quantity ordered, and put the order into your vehicle. Great customer service!

Smith's is amazing. They have a vast amount of liquor, beer, wine, spirits and cigars. Their owner/staff is always willing to assist and is very knowledgeable about everything. They have ordered certain wines for me in the past that they did not have in stock.

If you're looking for that "perfect" wine and things to go with it (cigars), these folks have it...and, if they don't, they'll pull out the stops to get it. Very knowledgeable, courteous employees is their secret and they value their relationship with customers and clients.

Great selection of wine and liquor. One of my favorite stores in town.

Within 15 seconds of walking in, an attendant was there offering expert advice on Rums. I chose based on his recommendation, and I'm damn glad I did. They hire some great folks there, and I've always felt welcome!

Excellent selection of beer, wine, and spirits, almost to the point of having too many options to choose from. They have friendly, knowledgeable staff, a growler fill station, locally sourced cheeses, and they also have a walk in humidor.

I was glad to stumble upon this little gem. They had some hard to find bottles of whiskey at very fair prices. It looked like the beer and wine selections were similarly deep, complex and fairly priced.
