Hickory Tavern

This has become my go to bar in town. They always keep my favorite beers in stock for me. Bartenders are awesome. We come and hang out with Kayla most nights and she takes great care of us. She’s fast and is always on top of all the bar guests needs. Food is delicious and they always have on all the games. Would definitely recommend.

This place is incredible. Good music, friendly and helpful staff, an TVS! TVS! TVS! A great sports bar or get together spot for family and friends. Highly recommend and also under new management.

Food is always quick and always hot. Tybra the waitress is very attentive she comes and checks on her guest quite often makes sure the food is what we ordered and keeps the cups full

Really enjoyed the Berry Fuego cocktail (silver tequila, lime juice, blackberry, soda, and ginger beer w/jalapeño). Our party also liked the fried shrimp po'boy, and two of us split a fried grouper sandwich and got the gouda mac & cheese and fried Brussel sprouts. Service was good too.

Great service, both @ the inside bar w/ Kayla & outside on the patio with Sarah! American Pub Food done perfectly! Husband had charred cajun rub (dry) wings, & they were awesome!! (He added a side of mild Buffalo sauce over them on his own) & I had the Turkey Reuben, with side of gouda Mac & cheese. Everything was delicious... TV's were playing current sports...

We hadn't been here in quite some time. Last time was before COVID was even a thing. But we were trying to figure out somewhere to go to eat tonight. We were in the Arden area and decided on trying Hickory Tavern, since it has been a while. The hostess was friendly. She sat us at table over near the kitchen entrance. Our server was Tybra. And let me just say...she was incredible. Very friendly, attentive and just overall great! Whenever we come back, definitely going to be asking for her.
Our food was also pretty good. I got their cheesteak. It came out without the queso on it, but Tybra got me some and once I put that on the sandwich, it was pretty good. My husband enjoyed his burger and my kids enjoyed their food as well.
But will definitely be back based Tybra's service!!

The fish and chips are good. There are television sets large and small all over the restaurant. Nice indoor high top seating as well as nice outdoor seating. Close to several the shops and fairly easy parking. The great place to go for food and to watch sports. I've never had anything bad there. The salmon and the burgers are really good as well.

Food was great but service was even better. We had our dog with us who is very well behaved. My husband a disabled vet (we didn't bring that up to the staff) is very attached to our dog and didn't wanna leave him behind. When we arrived to Hickory Tavern we were told the back patio was closed so we wouldn't be able to bring our dog. Erica, the hostess was nice enough to go talk to management (without us asking, we understood we couldn't and were ok with leaving). Erica told us they couldn't accommodate us and so we left. Then shortly, we heard Erica yelling out to come back as the waitress assured she wouldn't have a problem serving us outside on the patio. The waitress was super nice to us and our doggie and provided great service. We surely will be back because food you can find anywhere but service like this is hard to find.

One of my favorite bars. Love the shrimp tacos and the tavern burger especially. When I sit in the bar, I usually have Elaine and she’s always fast and friendly. Otherwise I sit at the bar and always get great service there as well. Overall, a solid spot.

Destiny was so awesome! Manager was kind and accommodating for 5 sisters! Thank you, Hickory Tavern for a great night!!!

Great service. Whoever left bed reviews I have to STRONGLY disagree.. VERY NICE WAITRESS. Manager came up to every table as I watched. He asked everyone how their food was and if they were satisfied. Waitress did not bother to ask me if my food was good when my mouth was full. GREAT GREAT GREAT LOCATION. Great staff. Will come back. DISREGARD BAD REVEIWS!!!

I forgot to take pictures but I had a delicious shrimp tacos with crispy Brussels Sprouts! Loved it! We stayed and watched an entire football game.

We eat here at least twice a month. Great atmosphere, location, live music in the Summer, outside & inside seating, lots of options. Recently renovated. Try the Pow Pow shrimp appetizer! 😋

We were quickly seated outside and greeted by our friendly server. Our burgers came out in short order and were cooked perfectly. The sweet potato fries were crispy and went well with the honey dipping sauce. Overall great experience!

Popped in before a movie and really enjoyed a nice lunch. Good food, top notch friendly service, good varied menu and nice assortment of local brews on tap.

There is a pub side and restaurant side. The pub side is full of TVs for any sport that suits ya, with high tops and a good size bar. Restaurant side is over the half walk, and a little more quiet.

I'm a wing fan, and loved the Red Dragon. Try those. My fellow diner had the rueben and raved about it.

We love hickory tavern. Great food an a selection of draft beers. Great service and plenty of TVs for your favorite games.

LOVE the power bowl, delish!!

I have been going here for years I’ve never had a bad experience. I especially love the one dollar oysters nights, The atmosphere is great and the staff is always friendly and courteous! Thank you for making this a great place to go to eat and mingle with friends or family!

Even though they have a great brunch menu, I got a very yummy sandwich. Every thing came right. The service and prices are nice as well. I will come back.

Lunch time treat. I had the chicken tender plate and tracy had the pow pow shrimp. The staff was wonderful.
