I was so surprised with how amazing the food was! I worked in an upscale Chinese restaurant when I was younger, so I'm pretty picky about Chinese food. This was the best I've had in Wilmington so far, and probably had in years to be honest. I ordered honey chicken, crab wontons, spring rolls, egg drop soup (my FAVORITE!), and some donuts. My picky 8 year old ate EVERYTHING and said she loved it. That never happens. Still have enough leftover for at least 1-2 more meals. It was ready in 15 minutes, too. I definitely recommend it!

This is my go to place for takeout and delivery. The food always arrives fresh and hot. I have never had anything I didn’t like. It’s extremely affordable (especially when I have a family of 5!!) and they are always very friendly. I would absolutely recommend this restaurant to anyone!

The perfect place to pickup Chinese on the way home from work or after ballgames. Whole family loves it.

Their service here is impeccable. The lady at the front was busy, of course she’s the only one up there handling everything but let me tell you 10/10 service. The food was good, not the greatest, but I’ll tell you I’ll be back because you can’t beat the price. Plus the lady up front tells great jokes so long as your kind to her haha

Do NOT listen to these negative reviews! This place should have 5 stars across the board, hands down! It is one of the only Asian places my fiance' and I ever ate when we lived in Wilmington all of the years that we lived there. We moved about an hour away and this place is one of the only restaurants we miss! Jenny and her staff bust their butt to make some of the best tasting Asian food I've had in NC! Locals and tourists a like will love every bite!

China Star is definitely a 5 star restaurant for delicious, hot & extremely fast & affordable delivery service. Their General Chaos chicken is so crispy & the Teriyaki chicken sticks are amazing. I love this place, so much so I order at least once, if not twice a week & Im a Chef

I am a discerning critic when it comes to food. I've eaten food from this restaurant often over the past 5 years. The food is delicious and always freshly prepared. My husband has lived in this area for the past 11 years... he has always given China Star the highest scores. The service is excellent and the staff/owners are always hospitable. Great place!!! I'm adding a post date edit and really hope this helps instead of coming off as a complaining customer. Consistent food quality is a must when owning a restaurant. If you are to keep and maintain a high rating, then care must be given to serving top quality meals every time, not hit and miss. One bad stale plate of food from a favorite restaurant you frequent can turn me away . I don't mind paying for good food, but I do mind inconsistencies in service.

Oddly with all the negative reviews below.... I recently found China star...because my usual spot closes on specific days and doesn't deliver on specific days.
China star has been super convenient, super fast with delivery and really nice delivery drivers.
I've been satisfied with each order so far, I always order the chicken with garlic sauce, it's delicious! The dumplings are great too!

My order was correct. The food was hot and delivered within 20 minutes of placing it. The staff was friendly and the food was great. I definitely recommend giving this place a try.

I always order take out for 1 or 2 people and service is usually very fast. No one is overly polite nor are they rude. The sesame chicken with fried rice, egg drop soup and egg/spring roll is very tasty for a great price. The crab rangoons are average at best. This place checks all of my basic priority boxes and they have yet to miss the mark for what I call fast food Chinese.

This is one of the best Chinese food take out restaurants in Wilmington. The owners are extremely accommodating and will fix whatever you want however you want it! My family loves to eat here and order takeout and delivery from here. Their delivery drivers are wonderful folks!

The food is delicious, service is quick, employees are very kind, and the prices are reasonable. China Star is my new favorite takeout spot!

Always fast and friendly. My son loves the shrimp fried rice as well as the Lo mein. I like it all.

Good food, fast service and reasonable prices..

We love this place! It serves one of the best burritos I've ever had in my entire life and the staff is always awesome. The kids menu is inexpensive and the food they get is great.
