My daughter and I ate there a few days ago and it was a great experience. We sat at the bar and our bar tender, Casey, was great. All of the drinks were very tasty and well made. She was very courteous and attentive. We tried several appetizers including the fresh fried chicken tenders and Mac and cheese balls. All of the food was great and very fresh. This is a small place in a little beach town but the ambiance was awesome. I highly recommend it!

Great brunch spot we discovered. The kitchen cooks things perfectly - the servers are friendly and efficient. Love coming to the bar for a drink or for a full meal. Kristina is the sweetest 💖

We went for a short trip to the beach and came across hoplite. It's a cute little place with really good food. They had live music and the guys (New River) were great. We sat at the bar since there is only 2 of us and the bartender Ashley was AMAZING! We will be back next time we come to town.

Great atmosphere for all types. Walked in for dinner, some well to do folks sitting at the bar, bikers at the bar, older folks and families sitting at tables. Im from out of town but its clear this place is loved by locals with all the interaction. Bartender Casey was working her butt off serving everyone, never stopped moving the whole time I was there but was friendly and never looked stressed despite the load. Had the Reuben egg rolls which were hot and amazing. Also got the shepherds pie. It could have used a bit more mince and gravy to mashed potatoes but the flavor was great. Would definitely recommend if you want something filling and different from the surrounding seafood fare.

Great little outside dog friendly area. Food and staff where great, meatloaf was awesome.

Hubby and I stopped in tonight. The turkey club was awesome! It's a great little place and hope to come back when we can "sit a spell!"

This is truly a "pub" with good food, great live music, and a great atmosphere. My wife had the shepherd's pie and I had the fish fry special. Guinness on tap and a non-alcoholic IPA rounded out the meal. It's not very big and the music can get loud, but if you're looking for a fun place to eat and drink, check it out.

If your looking for a warm friendly atmosphere, look no further. The staff is kind, engaging, attentive and they knew everyone by 1st name, even when the place was full. We had Bangers and Mash and Fish and Chips. Which we will be ordering again. A great find.

I visited HopLite for lunch and was pleasantly surprised to find that the service in the middle of the day was as good as you would expect it to be in the evening, when they have the most business. I got a beer and the Banger n Mash, which for those who don't know is an Irish staple. This was the best bowl of Bangers n Mash I've ever had and it was a decent and filling portion size. It came with two sausages, peppers, mashed potatoes and brown gravy. The environment is very much a traditional pub but not in q dirty or load way that would deter me from bringing my family. The service was wonderful and prompt, I even bought one of their T-shirts.

A must go to Irish pub when we are at Carolina Beach. The shepherd's pie and bangers and mash are delicious and authentic. The fish and chips are also a favorite. Love fun appetizers? Try Hoplite's unique reuben rolls or their variety of deviled eggs. They have great burgers and other American pub food for those that prefer. Stopped in on a Saturday afternoon. Chill atmosphere. Menu looked great. We had the deviled eggs, rueben egg rolls, and onion rings. All were very tasty. Ruben egg rolls were out of this world. My wife asked if they had cherry Pepsi, unfortunately, no. However, they hooked her up with cherry syrup in her Pepsi! Major kudos to Jessica who took care of us! First time to Carolina Beach. When back in town, we will go to Hoplite, again.

Super fun atmosphere, great people, amazing food, and live music. Came for burger night and a pickle back. The burgers were delicious!! Lighting was hard to take a good pic but definitely a spot you should check out.

This is GOOD! Nice small pub with great food and decent beer selection. Irish pub with still plenty of options if you don't like Irish food. Service was great and friendly. Definitely worth checking out. Gotta love a good Shepard's pie.

There is no bad food here. Everything is fresh, they hand batter onion rings, massive cheese sticks, and more. The burgers are massive and are hand pattied to order. The meatloaf, corned beef and shepards pie are all excellent. Today the meatball sub was the special and it was just as good as anything else I've had there!
