Where my dream started. It’s all because a boy asked me on a date and he took me to this exact spot 8 years ago. Bbq burgers on the beach and watched a full moon rise! You could drive all the way down back then and it was much cheaper! Fast forward 2 years into our coastal adventure. We have our season

First time and it was great! Plenty of space 60 feet to be exact! Did just one night so we walked over to the pier and ate there! Good food and friendly staff! We will definitely be back!

Absolutely stunning off-leash dog beach section! Every single dog here was so well-behaved and friendly. Their pup parents were also very welcoming. It was truly a core memory for us.

We didn’t bring our 4 wheel drive down but you can park on the actual beach here with your dog in tow and just have an iconic evening.

You need to bring your own poop bags and be sure to check when you need a leash! Currently at the time of this review you can be off-leash October-end of March. April-September 30th your dog must be leashed. If visiting during off-leash season your dog has to verbally trained so they recall!

Love coming out here with our jeep and dog, so relaxing and love the sounds of the ocean. We really enjoy the off season as it's less crowded and peaceful. We aren't campers but you can camp and have camp fires as well, fun to take a night drive and see/smell the firewood burning. Plus it's fun to light up the beach with our different color halos, light bars and rock lights. It's always busy and never know who or what you may see stuck....

We roasted marshmallows and hot dogs on the beach with a small fire pit which is allowed. Dogs are allowed as well. It was quiet and nice. You have to have 4wheel drive to get on the beach and also pay a fee. But it was great!

Freeman Park is one of the best places in coastal NC for a sunrise. You'll have to navigate through the parking lot of Jeeps on a summer day, but once you get through that first half mile of 4x4 accessible beach, you're in for a treat with pristine white sands and the calming sounds of the ocean. Be sure to check out this place at low tide to find the best shells and widest beach as it tends to be quite narrow at high tide.

The ocean and beach are pretty nice here and the ability to just drive up is fantastic. It's much better than paying for parking each time and loading up like a pack mule to go from the parking lot to the beach. I definitely recommend a season pass if you come to the beach often... Sure beats $7/hr parking.

Our family had a wonderful time here at the beach. The beach was clean and kids found shells offshore to play with. Since we went off-season, this place was not crowded as expected. This park allows driving any 4x4 vehicle on the beach and got the thrilling experience driving our 4x4 vehicle on the beach.

We love going here. Being able to just drive up on the beach is a great experience. Very clean beach and they do have porta-potties out for people.

This was my first time visiting a beach where you could take your car into. I was amazing. The only thing is that you have to go early cause it does get packed pretty quick.

A bit pricey to drive on beach $30 a day. however, it was clean and everyone was nice except one dude who must of thought he owned the whole beach. All was good cause he left.

Must have a 4x4 vehicle or you will have to be towed out. The sand was clean, the water 💧 was beautifully clean, and the best shells on a beach I've seen. The shell are still small, but most of them are still intact. We can't wait to go back with our furry family members.

What an amazing spot! My partner and I decided to set up camp here for a night when travelling through NC and we were not disappointed! The beach was beautiful and dog friendly! Camp fires are permitted in the camping area and to top it all off there were even dolphins swimming by!
