Michael's Seafood Restaurant

Food excellent. Not having to pay to park excellent! The seafiod chowder excellent!!! Seriously. The tuna blackened or simple. I think I liked my wife's as simple even better. Price was decent for fresh catch.

Kids meals were fine.

Person that was are waiter Cisco amazing! He was awesome. Ambience with fish tanks and such the kids loved. I just wish we had gone here the first day in town, we may not have gone elsewhere.

Guess what they also wanted us to eat there and didn't get dined for $6 or $12 to park thanks!

Wendy and Maria made this New Year's Eve Brunch the best! We had 24 in our party. They put us on the heated porch. Plenty of room for a crowd. The food was amazing and served very quickly for a group this large. Our waitresses were very attentive and super friendly. Thank you!

Very nice cozy and comfortable heated outdoor area we sat was comfortable and clean and clear of clutter. The waitress was excellent unfortunately I was unable to remember her name but she was awesome to our table of 5 and was attentive and friendly ! Would definitely recommend Michaels! Food was absolutely amazing tasted fresh and delicious! My son took a picture of the wall art it made our experience that much more great! Thank you 😊

This place is awesome and there is plenty of parking. Service was fast and great. Katy was our chick, and she has got it down good. The gator was awesome as an entree. I had the shrimp and blue crab with bacon Mac n cheese bake, it is to die for. Everything else was on point. We traveled 3 hours to eat here. I love it. Thanks again. Will be again. I highly recommend.

Michael’s is a must. Walked in for dinner on a Thursday evening around 5:30pm and there was already a short wait. Dining outside is our favorite. There isn’t a single item that we have ordered and haven’t loved. Appetizers are half off on Thursdays- sampler let’s you try some favorites like their crab cakes, bacon wrapped scallops and shrimp. Crab dip is cheesy and served with warm pita squares. Crab is sweet and tender. There’s even options for kids meals with market fish of the day and a side. Prices are fair. Linguine with shrimp and scallops is a favorite and you can adjust with your sauce of choice. Shrimp and grits were divine and a new favorite. We have yet to make it through to dessert 🤣

Cajun shrimp linguine was delicious. Very cheesy creamy sauce, with large perfectly cooked and seasoned shrimp! Also tried the Cajun Alligator. Great flavor as well! As for the staff, from the kind friendly greeting to our waiter Tony, the whole experience was excellent. Highly recommend checking Michael's out. You won't be disappointed! ...and this is coming from a Chicago guy.

A must try!

Everything from appetizers to entree and drinks were absolutely phenomenal!! The only real negativity is the long wait times, and limited parking, so I'd recommend trying to hit this spot during off-peak hours.

P.S. The seafood chowder was so good, I went back on the way out of town and purchased 4 quarts!

This place is awesome ! When I visit Kure Beach again I will be stopping here to eat. Everything from the service, food, and location was great! I’ve never eaten mussels before and to try them for the 1st time they was grrrest. The sauce they came in is something special.

Our service was excellent! Wendy crushed it with our group of 9. Service was prompt and friendly and our food was delicious. The seafood chowder was a hit with our group and the bacon wrapped scallops were gone in seconds. Highly recommend this spot!

Our waiter was superb! He showed my 10-year-old daughter how to crack open her king crab legs. (He did 95% of it) He explained how he's the only one that does this for his customers. He cares that the children, even some adults, learn. This way, they enjoy the experience even more. His suggestions were on point 💯 The food was prepared amazingly 👏🏻 We sat outside under the enclosed area, flies all manage to get in, no biggie. Just ask for the fly fans, they help.

I came here on the recommendation of a friend. It was very crowded however I was seated right away. There is indoor and outdoor seating. They do not take reservations. I ordered the scallop and shrimp pasta. Oh WOW! It was incredible. The staff are very friendly and attentive. Menu is seasonal and fresh. Atmosphere is casual and comfortable. I highly recommend.

Great service with beyond friendly employees. The seafood trio appetizer was phenomenal. Definitely could have ate a few of those as our meal. The blackened fish with grits was also very tasty. They have perfected their staple dishes for sure. Would definitely be back just for those bacon wrapped scallops if nothing else.

Michael’s Seafood (Carolina Beach, NC) is one of the highlights of my family vacation every single year! The flavor, freshness, and quality of food are second to NONE! I send all my friends there.
100 stars. Would ABSOLUTELY recommend!

For what seems like 10 years, my family has been coming, and the consistency of the high quality food never fluctuates! I swear it’s better every time we come.

This restaurant was absolutely delicious. This was my families first time coming to Carolina Beach so we were researching where to eat and the bad reviews on here almost turned me away - DO NOT LISTEN TO THOSE REVIEWS! This was easily some of the best seafood we have EVER had. Service was very fast and our server was very nice with the questions we had. Our appetizer, spinach and artichoke dip, was to die for, and the main meal was indescribably good. The $54 seafood boil was worth every penny. We also got the swordfish tacos and they were spectacular!

Everything thing great! Had the sampler, with mahi, the scallops were cooked to perfection!! Also the grilled alligator is seasoned and cooked perfectly! Service was excellent.

Food was really good. Long wait lines even for the off season. Not many gluten free options beside salads, only one dessert option that they were out of the night I visited.

They were able to seat a large party in a short amount of time on the holiday weekend. There is plenty of seating and comfortable waiting area you can get appetizers and drinks at. Our group got oysters, conch fritters (I thought were too chewy to eat), seafood pasta dishes and a country boil that was pretty good. The crème burle crème seemed a little over cooked. The parking lot gets very full and people start parking in the grass.

Now hear me and hear me good....I am seriously considering asking Shelly (owner) to adopt me. Mind you I am 50 yrs young and my mother is an amaaaazing woman. But my mother doesn't make chowder, shrimp n grits, or corn bread LIKE THIS!!!! The clam chowder is the heartiest I've EVER HAD! & I've had ALOT of clam chowder (mostly N.E. not a fan of Manhattan). Now...the shrimp n grits: Gladys Knights Shrimp & Grits is now my SECOND FAVORITE!! I think what they did is maybe fry the grits into a cake. I don't know. I just know I passed out it was so good!!!! The staff is top shelf...our server, Dillon....this kid is AWESOMETASTIC!!!! If Shelly isn't willing to adopt me, I will be back very soon!! I'm 2.5 hours away but the Mrs. & I are willing to make this trip for this food at least once a month!!

Great place to try. Seafood was delicious & great customer service. Not a fan of sea scallops & they were accommodating to switch out something else in their platter meal for me. Loved the atmosphere of the restaurant & tiki bar setup. Will have to come back the next we’re in Carolina Beach.
