Tasty Cafe

I got biscuits and gravy, bacon, and eggs, plus a side of biscuits and a side of gravy to compare the sizes of their servings. It was cheaper than at other places, and the serving of gravy to go with the biscuits was more than generous! I was amazed at the amount of gravy, in both the meal, and in the side dish. For once, I had enough gravy to soak up with the biscuits. The side of gravy seemed to be as large, if not larger, than the gravy that came with the meal. The bacon was crisp, and the eggs were sunny side up and runny - just as I requested. Perfect breakfast meal.

Everything is so good and perfectly cooked, great service and prices are very reasonable. Take note: Friday all you can eat Walleye dinner is by far the best I've had in the whole Springfield IL area, you will not be disappointed. I highly recommend eating here, excellent menu choices and daily specials. Clean atmosphere as well.

Typical diner style food and nothing wrong with that. We both enjoyed the food we got. Prices are very good and the menu has a lot of options. The waiter was attentive and friendly. There was another employee taking care of things in the restaurant and stuff was clean. She was doing a great job.

If we happened to be passing through again, we would definitely consider visiting again.

I just tried Tasty Cafe for the first time - thanks to Grubhub, and am delighted. They even called to make sure I had placed the order since I had placed it in the early hours. I decided to try 3 of their selections so I didn't have to cook this weekend. All of it was very good and very plentiful. Will order again.

Once again Tasty's Cafe is under new ownership. The new menu is rather large. Everyday there's a different "all you can eat" special. The food is very good and the owner is personable.

Excellent food and terrific service. I got a great meal for a very inexpensive price. The menu is huge. If you can't find anything to eat you just aren't trying hard enough!!! I recommend this place very highly and can't wait to go back.

Its a typical diner syle eatery. The food was good, the wait staff were engaging and the 4 of us had a nice dinner. There were very few people when we were there, so that may have contributed to the ability of the staff to talk a little bit. I would definitely go back.

As usual, the food was tasty and punctual, even though I got it to take home to my family. Food was hot and very tasty. If I only had one complaint, it was a fact that I got way too much gravy for my chicken fried chicken and mashed potatoes. But even that tasted good, albeit when I pushed some of it off with my Fork

Just left The cafe after having all you can eat Walleye. Love the new ownership and the meals have been great until this evening. We all had the fish and it was not cooked well. I believe it is supposed to be white and flaky on the inside. Ours was definitely under cooked. Coating was well done but not the fish. Seems the frying oil was a little to hot. I think it could have been turned down a little and left in longer. We will be back though cause every other meal has been great.

Awesome food. Great people. Good prices. Relaxed atmosphere. -- Can't believe the negative reviews, either nothing would have satisfied them or they didn't bring it to the servers attention. I know these people and something would have been done to make them happy! They know me and if something isn't right I'll bring it up and 99 out of a 100 (maybe even 100) it will be done right!

The wife and I dine here every couple of weeks, over the last few years. I have never ordered the same thing from a previous visit. Always trying something new, and never disappointed. 😋

This is the best breakfast place in the Springfield area hands down! The staff is incredibly friendly. The food is so delicious, well priced, and great portions. And it's super clean! We go every Sunday! We're so lucky to have a place like this around!

Absolutely amazing every time I've been there the food has been fantastic the burgers are good the cold sandwiches are good breakfast is good and if you have never had a stuffed biscuit and gravy you definitely need to hit this place

Love this place, the owners and staff are very friendly. They keep your coffee cup full.
The food is fresh homemade and delicious.
The owners have cleaned and remodeled the inside and it is a very open brite and clean with more seating. The omelets are big and fluffy i can only eat half, take the rest home for lunch.
We are looking forward to there extended hours when they will be open for evening dinners.

Went to Tasty's Cafe for breakfast just to try it and it left a positive impression on us. Every part of the experience was just better than any other place we have visited. Food was freshly prepared and the service was the perfect balance of friendly and comfortable. Went back a second time and it was the exact same.
