Very good experience to go there.
Good selections of beers.Very a very nice atmosphere. Very crowded, people were enjoying a lot.

Great place for an authentic pub experience. Would highly recommend for out of town guests for an authentic take on the Springfield staple - The Horseshoe or The Ponyshoe. Similar to the TV show Cheers, the bartender is a great guy and the food is outstanding. Definitely will visit again.

Usually when we come over from Indianapolis to visit family, we go to Darcy's Pint but they were closed at 5pm on Sunday. (Both Google and their website says open til 6pm, so that was pretty unprofessional.) I'm glad they weren't open or else we wouldn't have came to The Barrel Head! There were only a few patrons at the bar so the bartender let us pick any table and immediately got us drinks. Of course, my boyfriend and I couldn't visit Springfield without getting a horseshoe. (Pony for me because I can't finish the horseshoe!) He got a burger and I got the grilled chicken, and it was delicious. Their fries alone were awesome, but the cheese sauce made them even better. 5 stars

Awesome food , pineapple upside down cake drink was amazing and our waitress was the best!!

Good low key spot. Great horse shoes and pizzas. Good prices. My kids loved their kids pizzas. Great size and cheap $.

Generally one of my favorite choices to get a great horseshoe. However not always consistent. Wife's burger was undercooked and my chicken was overcooked.

The Chef's Pride hamburger is the BEST burger I've ever eaten! Absolutely incredible and cooked to perfection. Their cheese sauce is phenomenal (on everything)! The prices are very reasonable. Great service too. Can't wait to eat that burger again!!

We tried another restaurant tonight and it was an hour wait, so we found this gem on Google reviews. We’re so glad we did! Our family of 5 (3 kids under 13) all enjoyed this place and the staff was super friendly. Clean bathrooms, great service, and the food was amazing! Seriously, everyone really enjoyed what they got and we were all trying each other’s orders. Would highly recommend!!

We were in town for the fair and googled this place …Brian was our waiter…I’ve been in this business 40 yrs and he was so helpful and friendly …food was awesome!!

Came here because other restaurants were closed and so glad we did — our family (including picky teens) enjoyed the pretzel rolls, shoe, southwest salad, chefs pride burger and tater tots, plus friendly service. Definitely recommend.

Stopped by the Barrel for a beer and a lite bite. Good choice, plenty of draft beers, and a nice selection of appetizers. Good for a share with your significant other. Place is clean, staff is friendly and attentive. I did not try the well drinks do I can't speak to those. I will return.

We ordered the bacon and cheddar stuffed burger with more bacon and cheddar on top. I honestly have never had a better burger anywhere! It was cooked to perfection and the flavor was phenomenal.

The food was delicious. The pretzels were probably the best I've tasted in a long time. The service was great and the vibe was relaxed. My only complaint would be for them to fix their TV-remote control so that I can watch the game that I want.

I had gone there for a surprise going away party for a friend. We took up the entire right side of the restaurant and most of the bar area. The man in charge of the place that night handled our party as well as the rest of his customers with such ease and comfort, that I thought he was a part of our parties guests. Any and all drink and food orders were delivered correct and fast. Impressive being how the group seemed to be playing an endless game of musical tables. Mixed with a little hide and seek. There was definitely a mixture of every type of people in there. And the place has such a good vibe, that everyone was relaxed and enjoying themselves. I absolutely recommend going! Rather you're alone for a quick bite to eat, or for drinks while enjoying the game room, or having a party with as little or as many people you want. It's sure to be a wonderfully amazing, and unforgettable experience!! FYI, the last known payphone is just outside the front door. If nothing else, it makes for a great photo prop! Great food, great drinks, great staff, amazing atmosphere, good times!

Great bar and clean atmosphere. Despite being a bar, feels very modern and welcoming. The crowds are generally pretty game, and the music is never too loud, if you don't want to deal with "That kind" of bar. Game nights, they will have the TV's up, though, and sometimes patrons can get loud, so keep that in mind. Otherwise, amazing selection of draft beers, and food is great.

Great food! I always have trouble trying to pick out from my favorites. Their Italian beef is amazing!!! Their reubans are the best!!! And their nachos are to die for!! Add a beer from their great selection!!!

The nachos are delicious and very filling will be back for more

Great food, great atmosphere. Love the fried mushrooms and the burger special is one of the best values anywhere. Great mixed drinks, fantastic import on tap variety.

I had buffalo chicken pony and hubby had chili. Both were excellent. Didn't catch the bartender/waiters name but he was very good. 5 stars for him too
