I recently had extensive restorative work done to make up for years of neglecting my teeth. This neglect stemmed from a significant case of “dental trepidation“. Dr. McNerney made that concern disappear! It took several visits to get my dental work completed, and my smile restored. I can actually say that each visit wasn’t only tolerable, but quite pleasant. I felt zero pain or discomfort. Dr. McNerney explained everything, and made my comfort his top priority. As for pricing, the cost was considerably less than I had expected, after receiving a quote from another Dentist in the area for less work. I highly recommend McNerney and Wenzon Dental!

This is a great practice who welcomed me as a new patient several months ago and happily accommodated my daughter as a new patient yesterday. We have seen Elaine and Dr. Wenzon, and they have been very caring, efficient, skilled, and comforting as has everyone I have interacted with at the practice! My daughter keeps saying how nice it was there, which is so great to hear as a parent. Highly recommend!

Many years ago, I searched dentists online and something about this practice caught my eye. I decided to give them a try. It was a great decision. McNerney-Wenzon has cared for our entire family for years. We’ve had simple cleanings, and much more complicated procedures done; and they guided us to an orthodontist and an oral surgeon – both excellent – when we needed them. When my then-92 year old mom moved in with us, she was nervous about going to someone she didn’t know. The entire staff treated her with kindness and compassion, and made her feel calm and secure.

The doctors, hygienists, assistants, and office staff are all professional, skilled, and compassionate. And … they’re just really nice people. The warmth and laughter in the office makes it clear that this is a team who enjoys working together. I would highly recommend them to anyone searching for quality dental care in a great atmosphere.

Dr. McNerney's reputation preceded him. I'd heard of him through a number of his patients years (sadly) before I became a patient. I became a patient quite some time ago after my prior dentist retired and I'm so glad that I did. At that time I needed a fair amount of dental work and he laid out a logical plan to accomplish it all over a period of time. He explained what was needed, why and when and let me make the decision. I followed his advice and enjoyed a very good outcome. He's great and truly a skilled and pain-free dentist. His hygienists, Elaine and Sheila, are great, as are the rest of the staff.

I have been a patient of Dr. McNerney for a number of years. He is a very talented and knowledgeable dentist. He consults with patients in an open, honest and conscientious manner. He is a great asset to the profession. The staff is outstanding. I would highly recommend if you are looking for a dentist.

I have been seeing Dr. McNerney since just after he opened his practice at 176 and Walkup in 1990. Dr. McNerney is an excellent dentist and knows how to take care of his patients. He is friendly and jolly and is not the stuffed shirt that some doctors can be. There is a wonderful staff there as well. Love you all!!🤗

A couple years ago i found myself needing an emergency tooth extraction and decided to give this place a try. Im glad I did because the same situation happened again and they took very good care of me. Fit me right in, and during the service made me feel as comfortable as possible and made the experience a positive one. Throughout my childhood and into my adult life I have always had issues at doctors and dentists really getting my anxiety going and my experience with Mr. Mcnerney was great. I would highly recommend him if you want a real professional taking care of you. I no longer fear the dentist and Mr.McNerney will be the only one I will be seeing! I have a long-term fear of all things dentist. It has kept me from seeing a dentist for YEARS. I finally overcame my apprehension and made an appointment with the office. The entire staff was amazing and very sensitive to my anxiety. While this was only a consultation, I'm comfortable enough to move forward with our plan, knowing they are skilled and compassionate to ensuring that my pain and anxiety needs will be attended to as we progress.

Dr. Wenzon and the staff are truly caring and wonderful people. I called yesterday morning with a severe toothache. They listened to my story and put Dr. Wenzon on the phone right away. He asked what tooth was causing the problem and informed me it was a tooth with an old root canal. He clearly had my records up on his computer and had all the answers immediately. I am currently going through some other health issues and had a doctors appointment that morning, so asked if I could come in after that appointment. Without hesitation, Dr. Wenzon said no problem. When I got to his office, I was the only patient, so I thought this was a good day for an emergency. Well, come to find out, by the time I got there, they were finished for the day. Dr. Wenzon and his staff stayed late to accommodate me. Luckily it was a far back tooth, and we decided to pull it. In the days of franchise chain businesses, it’s good to know there’s still a dentist office with caring people that truly care for their patients.

This is the only place to go if you haven't gone for a checkup in 10 years and need to get over your fear of dentists. My entire family has been using this practice for over 20 years because of their personal touch and friendly atmosphere. There is artwork on the ceiling so you can distract yourself and window lighting. No, you won't feel like you're in a dungeon.

I recently reached out and sent a CT scan over for advice on what to do about a tooth that needs to be retreated. They sent me a comprehensive plan with two different choices of treatment and pricing. It wasn't a three sentence email, but a full page of notes and detailed information. There's a chance the tooth may need to be pulled and I will definitely be going here for an implant if I need one. They won't make you feel like you're just another implant patient, like other places.

The staff is always welcoming, and they do a lot to make you comfortable. I appreciate the chats at the desk, with the hygienist, and the docs themselves. And usually the music in the background is pretty solid too. Enjoy the handpainted ceiling tiles from younger patients!

My family have been going to Dr. McNerney since 1991. We have always received excellent care. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and prompt. A great dental practice!

I have been a patient here for many years after looking for a good dental office that works well with cowards. They were perfect! It had been 20 years since I was last at the dentist and over time they brought me back to excellent dental health. No fear! I won't go anywhere else. Highly recommended! Shout out to Sheila. Best. I have been a patient of Dr. McNerney for almost 20 years. I have received excellent care. I am a very finicky when it comes to dentists and very pain-adverse (bad experience with my childhood dentist). Dr. McNerney gets my concerns, and I've never once experienced pain with any procedure (crowns, root canals, and implants included). Dr. McNerney has done great work and thouroughly explains what he is doing. The office staff is super-helpful and the hygenists are top-notch. Check them out, you won't go wrong.

We LOVE Miss Rhonda at McNerny & Wenzon Dental! She is so wonderful! She does well with adults and children alike. Patient and gentle plus makes the experience fun and not scary! Dr. Wenzon and McNerny are also great dentists. Very thorough and informative.

We’ve been blessed to have this group as our dental team for 20+ years. They are very flexible with scheduling, especially when in pain. My last crown was made right there in the office! Not having to wait & return for a 2nd visit was a real time saver! An awesome team!

All I can say is...Amazing! Today I went to have some bonding replaced on my 4 front teeth at a dentist office in McHenry. They did the most horrific job sending me out of the office with my teeth feeling like sandpaper and looking like Chicklets. I called Dr Todd's office and they fit me right in to repair the damage that was done. Dr. Todd did a beautiful job smoothing and reshaping my teeth.
