I'm a new tenant and my experience with Randy and his team have been phenomenal. Randy is very responsive in getting any maintenance issues addressed and is a very patient and kind person.

I was a tenant at Lake Park for almost five years, Randy and his team were great! I never waited over 48 hours for a maintenance issue to be addressed and they were fair and flexible with their rent prices.

I was really excited to rent a house from this company, as the previous tenant had very good things to say.
However, we signed a lease for August 15th, but a week before, the guy told us that he needed to make sure that the previous tenant was out of the house, which should have been red flag number one.

The biggest red flag though was when the guy said he would pick up my deposit because he was nearby, and when he arrived, insisted on seeing my current apartment. I’m a single woman living alone, and a man that I didn’t know was insisting on seeing the inside of my place, when no one else was around. I held my ground and said no, but that made me really uneasy. The following week, he told me that it made him uneasy that I didn’t let him see my place, so I agreed to let him in, if it would make things easier, but it left me with a bad taste in my mouth.

The 15th came and went (with a signed lease) but we couldn’t get a definitive day we would get the keys, and there kept being a reason. They needed to clean, they needed to fix something, they needed to shampoo the carpets. All of this would have been fine, but I had to keep tracking them down asking what was going on, and when we would get keys because we had a SIGNED LEASE.

Randy eventually made it very difficult to contact him, eventually hanging up on me, and then sending me a text saying that there were too many issues with the house for him to rent it to us right now and we could have our deposit back. This was 3 days after we were supposed to have moved in, and a week before my roommate and I were supposed to be out of our current living situation.

He then re-listed the house an hour later. (I took a date and time stamped screen shot.)

I don’t know if he was looking for an easy target, or if he was just mad that we were asking him to make good on the signed lease, but he definitely left us in a lurch, and he knew it. All of the things he was stating he needed to do for the house should have been done long before then, as the previous tenant had told me she was going to be out July 31st, and the reason Randy wanted an August 15th move was so that he could inspect, clean, and do all the things he was supposed to.

 Yes I was on his case, but he set expectations that he wasn't meeting, and we had to move out.

We are currently seeking remedies through the state and the BBB as recommended by my attorney.

LADIES NEVER LET A MAN YOU DON’T KNOW INTO YOUR APARTMENT, AND IF HE INSISTS AS A PART OF RENTING TO YOU, RUN LIKE HELL!
