The Neighbor's Shoppe

Went to the Neighbor's Shoppe today for a sandwich and was warmly greeted by Donna. After requesting to have it warmed in their awesome pizza oven, she asked if I would like to have onion, tomato, etc... After enthusiastically saying yes, she proceeded to wash her hands, and actually freshly cut an onion and tomato with precision (yes, freshly cut). Wow!! Never had that level of service. I told her that I didn't deserve a sandwich made with such love!!! You can tell Donna works very hard and takes great pride with her store (and she is sooo nice). City of Berkley, please continue to support this establishment!!

They have a good selection of drinks and snacks. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I love to stop by on a long walk and grab a bottle of wine or case of beer to take home. Their prices are not too bad.

What a jewel in Berkley MI! I was so impressed with decor, value, thoughtful niche items, aromatic foods and customer service. If you haven't been here, you should!

I wish I had a place like this by my house! I was travelling through and needed some cake mix. I could have gone to a big grocery store, Meijer or Woodward Corners, but I wanted to be able to go in and out quickly. This store is perfect for that. The owner was very nice!

Definitely a super cute place! They have cute little beers and wines that are made for dogs. Also a great place to check if grocery stores come out with new beer and run out. They also have cute little cards and have the odds and ends that a regular convenience stores have. I will recommend if you have a bulky bag pay attention to it, the isles are fairly narrow.

Donna makes you feel like FAMILY , coming in to ask for a CUP of SUGAR . They have a Wide assortment to shop from , Excellent Sandwiches too !

My only two visits to this establishment have been nothing less than first-rate. The entire store is meticulously organized and sells products that are unique of it's kind that one cannot find in other stores within a five to ten mile radius. The proprietor of the store, Donna, is remarkably kind and attentive to every customer. A class act in every sense of the definition.👍 The deli style Italian sandwiches I had purchased on 11/16/21 are indisputably the best that I have had to date in my lifetime!👌 I definitely plan on becoming a frequent patron.

Owners are amazing! Great wine choices you won't find anywhere else. Staple foods and new finds all packed in so keep your eyes peeled. Go to spot for daily items and to explore new things. I won't move houses from walking distance to this establishment.

The Neighbor's Shoppe is great. Awesome selection of local goods, as well as a great beer and wine selection. The sandwiches are top notch; just like the ones mom would make, but better because they're made with Boars Head deli meats. The pizza is also solid. Great flavor with homemade dough and sauce. Don't forget to grab a cookie as well. The Chaos Cookie has chocolate, pretzels, and all kinds of other crazy stuff in it, and it's quite tasty.

Im eating a yummy shepherds pie and it couldnt be better. They are perfectly named and have a great selection of wines and beer. Nice clerks that pay attention to details. All around friendly vibe and a welcome break from regular store shopping!

Each visit is met with a kind greeting and willingness to answer questions and assist! I go out of my way to shop at this local staple and feel appreciative of the variety of beer, wine, snacks & produce. We love the homemade cookies, too!

I’ve been coming here for odds and ends since I moved to Berkley and it is the most wonderful place! They have nearly anything you could ask for and the staff is so kind. I always leave with a smile! Thank you for asking me about my plans for the night (simple question) but goes a long way from a stranger!

Get the pizza! It is REALLY good! I have gotten it twice now and it is becoming our new favorite local pizza shop in Berkley. And we have plenty to choose from. Donna is great and the store has a well curated selection of foods and drinks.

You can get a quick fresh sandwich or pizza or a wonderfully selected bottle of wine, and also great local brews this is my favorite place to stop in and get it all!

Perfect place for your quick market needs with a solid craft beer and wine selection. The calzones, pizza, and toasted sandwiches are excellent. Staff and owners are always welcoming and always willing to help. My wife and I love this local spot.

Wonderful people, service, and selection. After the loss of the beloved Hillers, the Neighborhood Shoppe has stepped up to fill a large void. They are always more than friendly and of course helpful. They love dogs and are there in a pinch. One time they were out of oil, so at no cost provided oil they used in their own preparations.

Amazing local shop! The staff is so helpful and accomodating. I am impressed with how well stocked and careful they've been during the Safer at Home order, I feel lucky to have them in our neighborhood!
