Career Learning Center of the Black Hills

Had a schedule complication with the company I used for a test and the staff were fantastic at dealing with the issue for me! Special shout-out to Lori for personally giving me a call once it was resolved so I could reserve my slot! Great service!

Thanks to the Career Learning Center Of The Black Hills, I was able to get my GED in months. The teachers are the best and the best help anyone could ever ask for. They always have a positive attitude on any situation. Thanks to the school and the teachers for everthing they have done for me, I also landed a really good job at Rice Honda and am doing really good. With me getting my GED, it took a lot of weight off my shoulders, and I know now that more doors may open up for me for my future. Just wanna thank everyone at the school for supporting me though everything to get my GED.

I personally will say this about CLC of the Black Hills.
I have not or ever received any kind of negativity here.
I worked with the CLC on my GED since 2017 and the staff is amazing.
They are beyond positive here and rooted me on the entire way, even when I myself wanted to give up they encouraged me to keep going.
The staff of CLC are like family to me. They care and want to see people succeed. In doing my GED I struggled hard and the staff worked with me until I was able to move forward with the next part of my GED.
Definitely the best choice I made to further my education.

Class of 2012 ! these people were so helpful with me every step of the way as i struggled through the math and science aspects of the exams. Thanks to their patience and encouragement, I'm proud to say I'm in my last year as a senior at BHSU soon to graduate with a double major!
Update: I graduated and have been accepted to grad school at USD with funding. I never imagined I could go this far, and I know it's because I pushed myself to get that GED years ago. Thankyou for helping me :)

I was only here for a short period of time, but the people here are absolutely wonderful! They're really sweet and nice and made sure I got on the right track. They treated me like they've known me for a long time, and that a good quality to have!

Very good facility and staff but the one gripe I have is the one lady that answers the phone most of the time. She kind of has a high voice with a slight rasp to it. She’s never in a good mood when I call and just seems overall kinda mean and depressed. Besides her, everything else is awesome.

Thanks for helping me. I appreciate the fact that there is a provision for different kinds of assistance in learning and testing. A lot has been done for me and I realize how important education is. I plan to improve my career outlook with completion of the high school equivalency. I have met many very interesting people.

As an employee, I think this is one of the best places a person could ever work. It is a joy to provide a valuable service to the community. My co-workers and colleagues go above and beyond the call of duty to provide the very best to the people we serve.

Extremely helpful and wonderful people! Never thought I would be able to complete my GED, and I probably wouldn't have if there wasn't such a wonderful staff there to help you through every step.

This is a fantastic organization that enables anyone to get a ged if they want to. The students are fantastic and make the experience a positive one.

I was at the Career Learning Center for a little over a year and thanks to the help of the teachers, family and friends around me. I am proud to say that I have completed my GED 😁 Thanks everyone

This place is full of super cool people, who really do genuinely want to see you succeed. If you're worried you can't afford to get your GED, they can work with you on that. They also have free classes and stuff to help you out, if you're worried you wouldn't be able to pass the tests. They'll be happy to help you if you need it.
Although, if you want their help, calling ahead for any information is pretty useless. I tried multiple times to reach Stephanie by phone and she never answered. I left multiple voicemails and she never returned any of my calls. So you have to just show up and hope someone is available to help you.
I also was told I would be sent something in the mail and never received it. I even contacted them to ask if it had been sent yet and was told that they would check, never heard anything back nor received the mail.

Provide an online format for candidates to review the details of their examination upon completion. The employees should not be viewing and handling the documents with that information. As good as the outcome was, they need to review their system. I have never seen anything like it. Otherwise, staff were pleasant and welcoming.
