The food was delicious. The waitress was very friendly and have good knowledge of the food thèy are serving. The drinks are perfect. They hit the spot. The desert is the same. I would recommend anyone who like Italian food and good drinks to eat there. But bring your appetite because you get a great portion of the food you ordered...

Great for families or large group of friends. Place is a must visit if you are in NY. Food is very good, portions are huge. The place is extremely busy so make sure to book. Service is surprisingly good for a place that busy and huge. Prices are fair especially given the portions

Come with a lot of appetite or don’t come! All dishes are shareable. My partner and I sat down at the bar because it was super busy and we had not reservation. Junior, the bartender took care of us. Excellent service and very friendly. The pictures speak for itself!! I will come back with my family. Thank you Junior😊

Wow what a great spot for Family Style Italian food. The portions are huge. The food was on point. We had Shrimp with penne pasta and it was really good. For appetizers we had French bread with melted cheese. They served 8 big slices and we could barely finish 3. So good though!!

The atmosphere was fantastic with ambiance galore. Very authentic and yet casual.

The only negative is that for two people there is just way too much food to finish. And our hotel did not have a microwave so leftovers were not an option.

I cannot say enough about our experience here. The food and drinks were amazing. The best apple martini I’ve had. We had the rigatoni with sausage and it was delicious.
It is definitely different - family style dining but we loved it. The service is outstanding and not rushed despite them being extremely busy. Highly recommend eating here when you’re in NY!

We stopped in for lunch while walking around Time Square. We got a table right away. The place was packed
. From the time we walked in until the time we left everyone we came in contact with was friendly and awesome.
We had Johnathan as a waiter, he was perfect. His recommendations were exactly what we needed. The stuffed mushrooms were to die for. The portions were absolutely incredibly huge. The meatballs and sausage were the best I ever had. What a great place. Can't wait to get back to New York.

We absolutely adored Carmines and made it a point to dine there twice during our visit to New York. Reservations are highly recommended due to its popularity. The staff is incredibly welcoming, and the service is impressively prompt. The restaurant offers a delightful family-style dining experience with generously sized portions.

Starting with the salads, the Caesar salad packed a flavorful punch with its garlicky goodness, while the Caprese salad boasted large, juicy tomatoes and ample chunks of mozzarella. Opinions were divided at our table regarding the favorite salad. The cheesy garlic bread was an irresistible treat that we couldn’t resist ordering both nights.

Moving on to the main course, we indulged in an array of dishes including chicken Marsala, chicken Parmesan, Chicken Scaloppine with Lemon & Butter, shrimp scampi, lasagna, and cheese ravioli with vodka sauce. While the lasagna unanimously stole the spotlight with its rich and comforting flavors, every dish left us wanting more. The shrimp scampi and chicken Marsala particularly stood out for their depth of flavor. The option to add pasta to any dish was a welcomed choice, and we opted for angel hair which complemented the sauces perfectly.

For dessert, we savored a decadent tiramisu that boasted delightful layers and an abundance of fresh whipped cream, providing a perfect conclusion to our meal.

A visit to Carmines is an absolute must while in NYC, especially if you’re traveling with a large group, allowing you to sample a variety of their offerings.

Pictures from their site since we didn’t take pictures while at dinner. I can assure you everything looked this spectacular for us.

Step into the bustling world of this New York gem! The restaurant was buzzing with life, a lively dance of guests in and out, yet the staff embraced us with warmth and speedy service, even with our fashionably late entrance. Now, let's talk about the real star – the food! Brace yourself for an adventure of flavors, as this place crafts culinary wonders that'll make your taste buds do a happy dance. And oh, the drinks? Absolute perfection!

For the dynamic duos out there, a friendly heads-up: the portion sizes are epic! Consider ordering for one and revel in a shared feast or gather your squad for a gastronomic journey. The ambiance inside is like a warm, cozy hug, but if you dare to brave the chilly outdoors, fear not – they've got mini warmth wizards (aka lamps) at every table. Trust me, the freeze is worth the flavor explosion!

In a nutshell, this spot is not just a restaurant; it's a joyous celebration of food, friends, and fantastic vibes. Your taste buds will thank you, and your heart will leave full. Cheers to making memories in the heart of the Big Apple! 🌟

It was around noon, the restaurant was very busy on top of the Christmas season and a big crowd waiting. My daughter and I wanted to have lunch, and the host accommodated us on the second floor. We didn't have any reservations, so we were super happy to get a table. All the staff was very attentive and polite. We ordered a seafood pasta dish that was incredible! The plates are delicious and big. Two or three people can eat with one order. We definitely recommend this place and do yourself a favor and make a reservation in advance to enjoy your meal here!

I came here with my friend on a Thursday prior to seeing a show. Carmine's was absolutely packed at 5:15pm. Although we didn't have reservations, we were able to grab seats at the bar.

The bartender was extremely attentive and friendly. Also the service was FAST. We only waited 5-10 minutes for the appetizer followed by the main course a few minutes later.

Needless to say, everything is family style so the portions are MASSIVE. I repeat: MASSIVE. The food was also DELICIOUS.

Pro-tip: Make reservations regardless of time and day. Also, one dish alone can easily feed 3-4.

Food was delicious. It's family style serving, so bring your appetite. We went for my daughter's 25th birthday and even though we were full and didn't want dessert. The brought ice cream and sang Happy Birthday 🎂 Annette our waitresses was amazing 👏🏼

If you can overlook the touristy vibes, this is a solid place — particularly so given the part of town it is in.

Veal scallopini was very good, and combined well with a side of roast potatoes. Cheesecake was great too. Portions are HUGE so recommend one entree per two people at most.

Great cocktails too and super friendly service.

We had a fantastic meal. The rack of lamb was fantastic with stuffing over grilled vegetables. So flavorful. The Lobster was fantastic as was everything else. The staff were also great including our waiter.

I had lunch today at Carmine’s, the Times Square location. It’s a very busy place, and the holiday added to the usual hustle and bustle. It was crowded, but there was no wait time since we had a reservation. The waiter was attentive and kind. The atmosphere was charming and friendly. The food was good and hot. The strawberry lemonade is so good. The chicken parmigiana was good as well as the Italian cheesecake. Of course, you can’t eat it all because it’s family style, and they give you plenty. The menu is diverse and expansive with lots of good options. It’s a great place to eat, especially if you’re a visitor to New York City.

This is a family style restaurant. Make sure to not go alone. Grab your family or group of friends and go. Plates are big and shareable. Food is amazing. We had the penne a la vodka and it was delicious and as appetizer the fried zucchini, it was excellent. Make sure to make reservations ahead. It gets busy.

I'm just going to start this off by saying do not order your own dish. This place is most certainly meant to share. With many other people. Largest portions I've ever seen at any restaurant by far. The food was phenomenal, service was incredible, atmosphere was fantastic. Our party of 4 shared 2 entrees and a salad and each and every one of us left with to-go boxes. I would return here in a heartbeat. I wish we had something even similar on the way coast. Also the eggplant parmesan was the best I've ever eaten! Drink were also great.

Came here with a group of 8 and the family style dishes worked perfectly for our group. We had the caeser salad, garlic bread, lasagna, spaghetti and meatballs, chicken marsala, and tiramisu. Everything was excellent. I especially enjoyed the garlic bread. The decor was also cool with pictures of famous people who had dined there in past years. Very fun, tasty, and enjoyable dining experience.

Doesn't get much more New York than this, which is why the place is perpetually packed. The food is served as Italian household family-sized so PLAN ACCORDINGLY. Two dishes will be more than enough for two people and even three people. The chicken Parm is a great choice here and so is the veal. We had the vodka penne, which was great and flavourful. Lasagna is next on the list for the next visit!
