Betty Ford Alpine Garden and Ford Park is within walking distance from Vail Village. One can take shuttle from Vail Village or follow a trail along Gore Creek for about 10-15 minute walk. The trail is running behind several condos, hotels and offering chance to see some wildlives of several birds, plants. Around end of October, most of plants are entering dormant.

Beautiful! I loved the planning that went into this park and the surrounding area; it’s not a closed-off area; it blends into the surrounding parks and village perfectly. The plants here all have labels and tags, along with stories for some. The variety of plants and colors is beautiful. The pictures you're able to get with a macro are amazing and beautifully done. Overall, I would absolutely recommend this place for kids and adults for all the beauty, kid-friendly gardens, and activities.

Beautiful flowers and exotic plants are immersed in a native mountain environment. The gardens are extremely well-maintained. The entire experience is amazing and refreshing.
You can park at the Vail Garage for free. The walk to the park in itself is gorgeous and only takes ten minutes. You can also park at the gardens very easily unless there a big event going on.
There is a large kid's playground, a perfectly manicured grass field, and the gorgeous Eagle River right next to the gardens. They'd even a bathroom and tables to rest at and enjoy. Top it off with a neat little gift shop and an amphitheater to compete this gem! Really a must visit when in Vail or even driving by I70!

Absolutely gorgeous botanical garden! There is no admission fee. They do have a recommended donation of $20 per person, which seems steep (for comparison, my own hometown's world-class botanical garden is $14 for general admission, and is at least 30x as big as this garden; we also visited Denver Botanic Gardens on our vacation, and spent $15 per adult, for an area about 15x as large).

I liked how it was arranged with different sections dedicated to different regions or specific subcategories of alpine regions. Including a stop at the playground and in the education center, we spent about 45 minutes here.

I'm amazed to see all the flowers blooming so nice at this elevation so early in season. Love the flower wall and waterfalls. Perfect for a stroll. No fee. Feels like own secret garden right near the amphitheater. Highly recommend.

Beautiful and free park to explore in Vail. In August there were beautiful flowers in bloom. The visitor center also had an amazing succulent garden and provided maps.

Wandering around the Betty Ford Alpine Gardens is the perfect way to spend an afternoon. All of the plants are labeled, and there are a number of placards around the paths to learn about the various plants and the climates they're native to. I learned a lot, took some beautiful pictures, and I'll bring friends with me the next time I visit.

Wowed by this place! Sept 1st visit and you could see that many of the flowers were getting to the end of their blooming season but still so beautiful. We spent a good hour just walking around and taking it in. Amazed at all the plants from all over the world.

Sally did a great job on our tour. We walked the whole garden talking biomes, global and regional. The staff/volunteers were very helpful and we were lucky enough to go to a chef in the kitchen event.

It seems like a small garden at first but it is anything but. The trails keep winding around. Maybe all the plants aren't labeled but the thematic Alpine gardens were beautiful. There were additional features like water falls. The gift shop had an awesome assortment of yard art. We spent way too much! Highly recommend.

Super beautiful gardens and structures in Vail Colorado next to the public tennis courts and a great venue to visit for concerts or other activities. Walk down to the river top take it in on the little bridge. I was amazed how few people were out at this time and how empty the parking lot was. I hope to visit again next time to Vail.

What a beautiful park. The strolling through with wonderful water features. Fall in the air and the changing of the leaves made this one of my favorite stops in Vail. I gotta get back up here during full bloom.
