Great experience!! One of the only places that I've ever seen carry shooters of Peach Street Bourbon which is my favorite. Kevin is the owner and was working behind the counter - super friendly guy! Went out of his way to make sure I had the shooters and flask I needed to enjoy my drinks on the mountain while riding. Would recommend and would go there again.

Great spot to find really rare collectible bourbons and wines. But there’s great value in the store if you get past looking at the big ticket items. Their barrel pick of Weller bourbon is amazing and the staff is always happy to help you find what you need.

This is a specialty bottle shop. This is Vail, Co. Those 2 things alone should tell you that you that this is not the cut-rate budget liquor store when you need to pick up a sixer of Natty Light. They have a lot of specialty bottles that aren’t sold in most liquor stores. If you want those bottles you will pay for them. VFW also has reasonable prices on other normal bottles that can be found just about anywhere. Last time I was in I bought 4 bottles of bourbon that I generally can’t find in my home-state liquor store. They were a bit more than standard retail but I was willing to pay. They also had some bottles I wanted that were priced a bit more than I was willing to pay - so guess what - I bought what I wanted and left the others on the shelf. Interestingly enough I found that VFW had some things that were less expensive than other local stores and some things that were priced a bit more. Part of the value is also paying for convenience. If I’m staying in vail village the last thing I want to do is get in my car and drive around town trying to save $20. If you want the opportunity to get something nice while on vacation then stop in and take a look. If you’re trying to save a few $$ while filling up the ice chest with cold beer then look elsewhere.

VFW has a solid mix of classic wines as well as some unexpectedly geeky, adventurous bottlings! The staff shared their excitement over some of the inventory "gems" and why they like them. Great beer selection, too - lots of individual cans so we had fun trying some new microbrews. Will definitely be back to blow the dust off a few of those other recommendations!

This is a must visit place if you are into wine and spirits. The selection is incredible and I always have to stop in when I’m in town. My favorite thing they have is their barrel pick Weller Special Reserve Bourbon. You can only get it from them and it’s delicious.

The gentleman at the front was extremely friendly and knowledgeable about product. He pointed us to some great cigars and I really enjoyed my purchase. So you won't regret coming by.

Best beer and wine selection in the valley. All off the guys there are drink recommending savants. They always seem to know the perfect direction to point me in. Friendliest dudes, great selection. What a spot!

I love getting wine for all my events from Kevin! He is super knowledgeable, helpful, and works hard to make sure I have perfect pairings. I highly recommend taking advantage of his great expertise if you have the opportunity.

I like this place for some out of the ordinary brews. They have a lot of singles if you are looking for a variety pac. Small (but packed with good stuff) and cozy, it's hard not to strike up a conversation with the staff. Rachael was particularly enthusiastic about the selection.

Super convient liquor/beer/wine store in the downtown vail. They have some very hard to find bourbons - on multiple times I have seen Weller on the shelf at a reasonable price. Also, they have the elephant bourbons as well - pappy, midsummers night dream, elmer t lee. (I should not be saying openly that you can find weller here, but its usually here).

Wonderful selection of other liquors as well.

Prices are slightly higher than liquor stores in avon and within 10 miles, but the location can't be beat. I am giving 5 stars for their unique selection of hard to find products!

My wife and I bought a bottle of wine and a bottle of bourbon while visiting Vail. Jay helped us pick something that both of us would enjoy. The experience was wonderful and I would highly recommend this store to everyone visiting Vail.

This place is like family! Everyone is very helpful and it's super nice how it's long time locals working there. I love their selection of beer, wine and whiskey. I haven't tried something I don't like.

Exquisite liquor bottles and even craft beer. This place has what your looking for. Get a bottle of champagne to celebrate after a day of skiing. Prices very to reasonable to outrageously expensive. Don't forget your wallet.

best selection of craft beers in the village. Bombers, singles and sixers all available here. They also carry most Macro-Brews and an epic selection of wine and spirits.

Perfect location and everyone is very knowledgeable. Absolutely top notch wine and spirits selection. They even brought in a hard-to-come-by cognac that I adore.

Great place in town for both selection and knowledge. If you know what you’re looking for, it’s likely these guys will have it, and if you’re not sure, they’ll be able to make some great suggestions. I stop in once or twice a week and pick up something new almost every time.

Kevin and the staff are the most knowledgeable in the Vail Valley regarding wine and spirits. If you are looking for something rare or hard to get, this is the place.
