My husband and I had an absolutely fabulous dining experience last night at Pepi’s. The grilled venison was cooked to perfection and so tender. Apple streudel was out of this world. If visiting Vail, you must make a dinner reservation!

Cozy restaurant, call for reservations and ask for dinner in the antler room. There’s the princess Diana table too.
Scallops were ok. Goulash soup was delicious. The caribou was recommended at med rare but definitely get medium. The spatzle was good and different so definitely try that!

Wonderful meal at Pepi's! We had Jager Schnitzel, Weiner Schnitzel and Beef Stroganoff...topped it off with Apple Strudel and Dark Chocolate Mousse....amazing! Great food and service!

Can't go wrong with Pepi's. The bar is raucous, but the dining area quiet and relaxed. You can split large entree portions and get your own sides. I had venison...very well prepared.

Best schnitzel I've had outside of central Europe. The sauerkraut was good, the potatoes were great. Ate on the patio a couple of times during the GoPro games and it was an excellent spot to watch the crowds. The bar is nice and the wall of photos is impressive. Brought my wife here when she arrived. We understand Pepi is a legendary figure in Vail history. Couldn't have asked for a better experience.

Wednesday apres, Valentines Day, upon entering was greeted by Daniela with a smile. The place was packed and a solo artist was playing. She had a beautiful voice. Daniela was our server and did a fantastic job keeping our drinks full, serving our food hot and making us feel incredibly welcome. The soft pretzel and brat were perfect! I will definitely be back soon as a result. Being from Denver, servers here act like they are doing you a favor, but Daniela made me feel like she truly appreciated my business. Thank you Daniela! And, kudos to management for training your staff properly!!

Spend the day in Vail Village, and Pepi's was recommended for lunch by a friend who is from Hungary. The cuzine is authentic European, and the establishment has been in business since the 1960's. I went with the Buffalo Bratwurst, which came with mashed potatoes, red cabbage, and saerkraut; paired with a Liter of dark German lager. Apple Strudel with a cappicuno for desert completed the meal. Had a seat on the patio to dine and people watch. Great place to visit on the list of things to do when in Vail.

This is a great place to go for wild game meats at Vail. I sat in the antlers room and ordered the wilddieb platter. The platter contained roasted quail, wild boar, and elk loin all served over a variety of sauces and rice. The meal also came with half a pear, asparagus, and red cabbage. It was all well prepared and tasted delicious. The food is a a bit pricey, but definitely well worth it. The staff and service was also good and I enjoyed the german rustic atmosphere. If you’re not into wild game, there’s a a separate dining room and bar area with live music. There’s something at this restaurant for everyone and it has my full recommendation.

4 of us dined with varying meals and shared the Hungarian goulash stew as an appetizer. The stew was excellent and set the stage for a culinary experience. Don't skip this restaurant when visiting Vail.

Iconic Vail restaurant didn't disappoint. Wonderfully prepared and presented food at surprisingly good prices at the heart of Vail Village. Cozy, authentic Austrian atmosphere in the main dining rooms. This place is worthy of its fame. Highly recommended!

Pepi's is the quintessential apre ski destination...you feel as though you have been transported to Innsbruck. Food, service and atmosphere are always amazing. We really enjoyed the Vail Oktober Fest and car show, topping it off with a trip to Pepi's was Spitze!

Came here initially for drinks (walked by) then returned for dinner, great experience, we're seated fast, although they were busy, service was friendly, food came out QUICK! The Schnitzel was one of the best I've had in Colorado (not Germany😉). Would certainly return, nice ambience, staff, beer and food!

This is one of our go-to spots in Vail. The food is delicious as always and the service is wonderful.
Sitting on the patio for lunch has that European vibe to it.

Pepi’s is a Vail institution and always a favorite. We had lunch here twice on our last visit and both meals were wonderful. We also stopped in every afternoon for pre-dinner cocktails, which is one of my favorite things to do in Vail. Sitting on the front patio or by the open sliders in the bar area and admiring the views while watching Vail walk by is a must. Don’t miss Pepi’s when you’re in town.

You simply cannot beat Pepis, and especially the Antlers Room. The food and service are the best. If you're lucky, Sheika, Pepi's wife, will be there and you can experience genuine Austrian hospitality. One of the last remaining connections to old Vail, Pepis is our go-to for a night out with family or friends.

It's a weird time to come to Vail, but Pepi's was open and quite delicious!
Service was good, food tasty, and while it was a bit pricey (like everything else in Vail) it was wonderful enough to confidently say I would go back!
Highlights: French Onion Soup, Truffle Gnocchi, Jaegerschnitzel, and Apfelstrudel
