Best place for kids haircuts! We will definitely be back. My son hates getting his haircut but she was able to calm him down. She had tablets, lollipops, and the coolest fire truck chair. Great experience!

Colleen did an amazing job! She was so patient with my son during his first haircut. The salon has such a cute set up—he really enjoyed the toys while we waited and sitting in the fire truck for his appointment!

My daughter had her first appointment here today, August 25th. We were immediately greeted and welcomed in. My daughter got her hair washed, which seems to never happen at other salons anymore, and got to choose where to sit. My girl is 12 autistic and epileptic, and they were extremely inclusive, didn’t trigger any anxiety or seizures, and were very softly spoken. The stylist didn’t mind that I was an overbearing, protective mom and chatted with me while she trimmed my daughters hair. Definitely will be bringing our other girl here. The whole experience was so refreshing and calming. Thank you again for such a great experience!

I took my almost 3 year old in for her first haircut and I couldn’t be more pleased! First off, what a wonderful place to help kids relax and have fun! My daughter chose the Frozen car to sit in. Coleen (our stylist) did an amazing job interacting with my child and really listening then executing my request for the cut! My daughter was nervous at first but relaxed very quickly. Getting a choice of a prize or a balloon was wonderful! We got first hair cut package that included before and after pictures, a lock of hair, and a certificate! I loved the entire experience! Coleen is a wonderful lady! Highly recommend as we will be continuing to see her!

Such a great experience! I have been trying, for 5 years, to find a decent place to get my son's hair cut. I have never been pleased. Our appointment was at 6:00 and we were back in our car by 6:15. When you have two children you appreciate people's promptness. While my 6 year was getting his hair cut my 2 year old was able to run around and play without me feeling like she was being a menace. The stylist genuinely cared about my son's hair. She asked my opinion before doing anything and was very patient. I can't wait to take my kids back!

I'm SO happy Rapid city finally has a dedicated kids salon! I brought a 2 year old for her first haircut and they were so kind and gentle with her. She was very happy to be sitting in a "car" for her haircut and the whole experience was great. Good prices, very friendly and skilled stylists. Would totally recommend.

My girls absolutely love getting their hair done at The Kidz Salon. Colleen is a very gentle, kind, & all around an amazing lady to my kids. The Fairy hair tinsel is a huge hit & we plan to make this the girls’s hair salon home. Highly highly recommend!

LOVE this place! My son had so much fun with her kids chairs, she got him comfortable and also made us parents feel welcome! Very friendly and calm environment! Even gave my son some cool wash out red gel that he LOVED! He’s 2! Thank you so much Colleen! You’re amazing!

This was my daughter's (5) first salon experience, and she absolutely loved it! The stylist was sooo good with her throughout the service (haircut, mani & pedi) and my daughter really loved the cute car chairs they had there, and I love that shampooing and blow dry was included, she even threw in some straightening when the cut was done. Overall such a good experience for such reasonable prices, we'll definitely be back!

I the Kids Salon is AMAZING! We took our daughter in for her first haircut recently. Karlee was so great with her! She took her time, was patient, talked her through everything she was doing to help calmed her little nerves! I will definitely be bringing my little one back for future cuts.

We took our soon to be 3 year old for a haircut today and we were blown away with how great of an experience we had! Colleen did an amazing job not only keeping him occupied but his hair cut also turned out phenomenal! The atmosphere was so much fun, to include the different cars they could choose to sit in for the haircut, to the jacket they wear (he chose a firetruck and a firefighter jacket), to the colored gel at the end. And they get to choose a prize at the end from the treasure chest! If your kids have anxiety about haircuts or you are just looking for a super fun and professional place to take your kids to, the Kids Salon is where to go!!!! I wish we would've tried this salon out a long time ago!

The Kidz Salon is amazing! My 2 year old has sensory issues and struggles with getting a haircut. They do so great with him! After taking him to the Kidz Salon we wont take him anywhere else. She does such a great job at making him comfortable and also with cutting his hair. Thanks Kidz Salon/Coleen for making his hair cutting experience so much better!! You are awesome!!

I’ve been taking my kids here for about the last year. They love going and getting their hair cut! Lots of fun chairs to choose from, easy to make an appointment online and personable, professional staff. Great addition to Rapid City and one of a kind. Highly recommend!

Amazing! I scheduled my baby’s first haircut at Kidz Salon using the online booking (which is suuuuper convenient and easy to use). When I arrived, Colleen checked us in and asked us which seat we wanted. We went with the firetruck one which was super fun and had a lot of sounds. He got his fireman coat and Colleen started working on him. She was super knowledgeable and sweet and listened to what we wanted. She was also really patient when my baby got a little bit fuzzy. At the end, she took a picture for his first haircut certificate and she gave it to us. Overall, amazing experience, good prices and LOVE the place. Super kid friendly and fun! 100% recommended.

Brought both my young boys here for haircuts and it was a wonderful experience. Stylist was very friendly, treated them very well, and kept them involved. She really knew how to handle kids. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone getting their kids hair cut! We even got them the colored hair gel as well and they love it! So cool! Not one thing negative about this experience. Haircuts look great!

My girls loved their time here and have begged to go back since. They have plans to get color streaks next time. They loved the chairs and the lady who cut their hair. Great service for a reasonable price. Just call ahead for an appointment though.

Perfect experience. I brought my 5 year old daughter in for a cut. The appointment began on time, the stylist was welcoming and asked all the right questions. The haircut itself was fantastic and my kid enjoyed herself the entire time in the car themed chairs. Please do yourself a favor, and if you have littles, this is where you want to take them for a cut.

The environment was wonderful! I was nervous walking in with my two boys by myself, but quickly realized they would be entertained while waiting! I loved that their stylist was dressed up as a Frozen character, it just added to the fun atmosphere. I will definitely be back, as the haircuts turned out amazing as well!

Our kids are already asking to go back! The owner has created an amazing salon experience for Rapid City children, both with her friendly personality and the wide array of kid-friendly touches throughout the salon. The waiting area has chalk walls and toys, there are multiple options of kids’ seats and capes, and tablets are available for use during haircuts. Hands-down the most fun our kids have ever had getting haircuts!! I highly recommend The Kidz Salon! ⭐ ⭐⭐⭐⭐
