Harbor Freight Tools

Harbor freight has been a great addition to rapid city. We find lots of good deals on tools here. Their icon line of hand tools are very nice. Their lifetime warranty and they exchange them with no questions asked. We buy sand paper and ratchet straps, bungee cords, tarps anything along those lines from this store. It's dramatically cheaper than irregular hardware store. Some of the impact tools are pretty nice, But we haven't tried any of the electric tools. My husband's a big Dewalt fan so we only buy that stuff. The staff is friendly,but sometimes it's a little understaffed in the lines can be kind of long so be prepared for that.

Love the selection of specialty tools as well as the less expensive options to get the job done! Great Store!

Great place to grab some tools or other items for the garage. Went in to look at an offroad vehicle jack...will be purchasing it soon!

Clean, quick and helpful.

Stopped in to pick up some stuff for the truck and house. Staff was friendly and helped us get some stuff out of the back and everything else was easy to grab and navigate.

I found and outstanding deal on a GREAT Tool storage cabinet. The Quality is OUTSTANDING, very heavy duty, drawers slide nice and have a latch to lock, very large heavy duty casters, with a good barrel lock!!

I always find anything I'm looking for at this place. I've needed some really off the wall things and it turned out they had it every time. I needed a watch battery and one store was going to charge me $8 for one of them. I went into harbor freight and got a huge package of all sorts of watch batteries and got like 12 of my watches running for less than the price that the battery was going to cost me at the other store.
I need a really good quality Dremel with lots of accessories boom found a perfect one right here!
We needed to get letter stamps to be able to stamp names into metal. Couldn't find them anywhere till we found them at Harbor Freight!
The other day we needed a collapsible cart for a disabled friend of ours to use to be able to transport items into the elevator and down to the floor with the handicap ramp to be able to be loaded in cars and unloaded from cars to get groceries back up. I found the perfect one there. It was silver It had a big base with a tall handle. It snapped open easily and all I had to do was put up my foot on a small lever on the handle and the handle holds right back down. It works perfectly for him.

Been using them for random tools for years and years now. I’ve yet to have a single thing fail or break in any way. I also have all their tool boxes now and anyone who sees them goes and buys their own.

Had a problem with a pressure washer my company had purchased a couple of weeks ago. They went above and beyond to help me return it and get a new one. Iy was hassle free and very easy.

I never had any issues shipping here. Staff is usually pretty friendly and store is clean.

If you've never been into a harbor freight store then I highly recommend you do so. They carry and offer competitive prices for a wide variety of tools necessary for construction work down to the person who does DIY . The Rapid City store is quite clean and very concerned about people safety and regarding to the COVID virus. Overall my entire experience with this store and Harbor freight as a whole has been very very good some of the tool prices and offers that they do come across some are cheap but by cheap I mean getting a 20 piece screwdriver set for example for $5 . Great value probably not a lifetime set and if you want to buy Snap-On Tools this is not the place to go .

If you're coming here expecting to get quality tools at cheap prices, you'll be disappointed. However, if you come with the understanding that you're buying cheap tools at cheap prices, you'll get exactly what you're looking for. They aren't for professionals but if you're just a hobbyist who doesn't want to spend much (like me), these tools are perfect. Can't say much about the staff as the only interaction I ever have with them is at the register.
