I love visiting independent bookstores wherever I go, and I am so glad I didn't miss this one. They've got a coffee roasting operation right there in the space, and the curated selection, though not voluminous, is extremely well cared for and well-selected. Thank you for the conversation and kindness. I felt comfortable and welcome in the space (and this counts for a lot!). I will most definitely return.

Always love to support a local bookstore when traveling, and Pomegranate Books did not disappoint! Clearly owned and operated by true book lovers, it’s small but nicely curated by knowledgeable staff, and the children’s area includes a few quiet games and a perfect reading nook. If I lived in Wilmington, I’d be here all the time to peruse and guzzle the coffee roasted in-house.

I'm ashamed to say it took me several years to FINALLY stop and shop at this wonderful bookery. I wish I hadn't waited so long. I went in hoping they had a used copy of a book I've wanted, but I quickly forgot about that book when I saw their eclectic, interesting mix of classics and new/unknown authors ALL in the "used" section and priced PHENOMENALLY LOW. I was MOST excited, no...ELATED and BLOWN-AWAY better describe my reaction...(and this proves my nerd status) upon finding a Webster's Encyclopedic Unabridged Dictionary DELUXE EDITION in GREAT used condition, for a price so low I'm embarrassed to divulge it because I should've OFFERED more for the dictionary. (If you're not familiar with the awesomeness of unabridged dictionaries or with what they cost NEW/RETAIL...This particular edition is $80 new. I didn't pay a TENTH of that!) The customer service was superb. The atmosphere was indescribably serene and comfortable. Pomegranate Books is a GEM!!

Excellent teas, coffees and believe it or not, superior hot chocolate. Wonderful, relaxed atmosphere. Not really a serious bookstore - the new non-fiction selection is an out-of-touch collection of books your CNN watching grandpa would approve of - but who cares. It's a perfect place to stimulate the mind and warm the spirit.

This place is awesome! A locally owned bookstore where I could order the books I wanted to give as gifts. When I went to pick up the gifts, I bought some freshly roasted coffee beans from Zola Coffee add a Moroccan latte for the road. LOVE IT!!

Always find a new ( or gently used) book to treasure. Love the Zola coffee shop’s coconut cayenne cappuccino. Selections include children’s and young adult books, classics and contemporary fiction. Distinctive cards and more. Support local, independent booksellers!

Wonderful little bookshop with a large and varied selection of literature. The owner is very friendly and helpful. The attached coffee shop is delightful, as well, with unique, delicious, and organic drinks.

Love it. I hate giving my money to the big booksellers... This shop is small, but finds a way to provide enough books in each subject area and a sweet spot for kids... and now that they opened Cafe Zola inside - organic teas and coffees, etc...who could ask for anything more?

Great selection and friendly service. This is a great little spot to grab a cup of coffee and get some work done, meet friends, or dive into a book.
